I'm writing a new game campaign and, having become bored of my own ideas, I look to you to decide the basic themes over which I should develop the story.
At the end of the week I will count up the votes for each idea. Please place one vote for each aspect of the game world:
Setting:
-Dark Ages
-Savannah-esque desert environment
-Renaissance age city environment
-Generic high fantasy
-Steampunk/ Raygun gothic setting
-Underdark
-Aztec inspired semi-tribal setting
Theme/Tone:
-Crime/murder/justice
-Good vs Evil
-Freedom vs Security
-More idealistic than usual
-More cynical than usual
-War for land/resources
-Other (please specify)
-Small scale conflict
-High stakes, end of the world conflict
Magic and such:
-High magic
-High psionics
-Low magic/psionics
-Zero magic/psionics (hard to pull off, but I'll give it a go)
Thanks in advance to anyone who contributes:smallsmile:. For reference, my last two campaigns were an almost steampunk totalitarian regime set in a city environment, and focusing on freedom vs security, and a post-apocalyptic sci-fi setting focusing on survival against the elements. both were somewhat cynical in their portrayal of NPCs and general atmosphere, but I'd like to try new things.
your opinion means a lot in this case, feel free to PM me with ideas if you have them, and I'll be sure to mention your help to my players.
Please remember that I'm using 3.5 for this campaign.
Thanks!
