Ephemeral Dragons are incorporeal true dragons native to the Plane of Shadows, who have mastered the arts of shadow magic. They look like nothing more than sleek, draconic shapes cut from a cloth of shadow, with a smooth, angleless body. They hoard any items that reminds them of their native plane, from obsidian spears to man-sized black diamonds, using oils of ghost touch or rings of telekinesis to manipulate their hoard. Ephemeral Dragons span the whole spectrum of morality, though all are always sneaky and deceptive.

Breath Weapon (Su)
An Ephemeral Dragon has one breath weapon, a cone of weakening shadowstuff. All creatures caught in the cone must make a Fortitude save or take the listed damage to either Str, Dex, or Con, at the dragon’s choice. If the dragon breathing is of Adult age or older, all three ability scores are damaged. If the dragon breathing is of Ancient age or older, the breath weapon causes ability drain, rather than damage. Once an Ephemeral Dragon uses its breath weapon, it must wait 1d4 rounds before it can use it again.

Mysteries
While most true dragons cast arcane spells as sorcerers, Ephemeral Dragons instead cast fundamentals and mysteries as ShadowcastersToM of the listed level.

Adaptive Reduction (Su)
Whenever an Ephemeral Dragon of Adult age or older is damaged by a weapon, its hide reconfigures to “remeber” that weapon. That specific weapon no longer overcomes the dragon’s damage reduction, even if it is magical. This adaptation is permanent.

Ghost Fang (Su)
An Ephemeral Dragon's natural weapons are all treated as having the ghost touch special ability, allowing it to attack corporeal creatures. This does not, however, allow it to hold or manipulate corporeal items without the ghost touch special ability.

Hide in Plain Sight (Su)
An Ephemeral Dragon of Young age or older can use the Hide skill even while being observed. As long as it is within 10 feet of some sort of shadow, it can hide itself from view in the open without anything to actually hide behind.

See in Darkness (Su)
An Ephemeral Dragon can see through darkness, even magical darkness such as that created by the deeper darkness spell.

Shadowy Protection (Su)
An Ephemeral Dragon in an area of darkness, magical or mundane, gains a +5 bonus to AC. This bonus increases to +10 when it reaches Mature Adult age and +15 at Great Wyrm age.

Spell-Like Abilities
3/day–darkness (very young or younger); 1/day–deeper darkness (juvenile), shadow walk (ancient)

Skills
Bluff, Hide, and Move Silently are always class skills for Ephemeral Dragons.

Feats
All Ephemeral Dragons receive Weapon Finesse as a bonus feat.

So, who's their god? It can't be Bahamut, it can't be Tiamat, and it can't be Sardior.

you do realise that this ability will make weapons almost useless against it? thaat or fighters and other martial classes will need to carry way too many weapons just to even have a chance of killing it

Which, alongside the Shadowy Protection and standard incorporeal miss chances, make up for its AC, which is about half that of most true dragons at almost every age class.
