Notice that Kirby doesn't have quite as wide eyes as you give him. Otherwise, I think it can be good.

So, the name of Kirby's race is Kirby. Individual kirbies can have different names, but the race as a whole is referred to as Kirby because of the one Exemplar of the race: Kirby.

I wonder if there was once a human named Human who epitomized all anyone could be...maybe this kirby could usurp Kirby and change the name of his entire race.

This is a pretty simple one, I'm letting you guys, my readers, make the name for the cat. The person who's name I choose will get a cameo in the comic, and will be featured in the comic's First sig banner.

The art's good, but the dialogue does need a little work.
I do like the idea of the guy on the phone understanding the cat.

May I suggest the very original name of Dr. McCat for the cat?

No, on second thoughts, how about Fedora? Ties in with the Hat theme nicely, and I just thought how awesome it would be to have a cat named Fedora.

By the way, the cat is a boy. The cat name contest will end this saturday at 12:00 p.m. EST, and I should have the comic that introduces the cat's name later that day, however you may not get your cameo until near comic 10.

Sorry about the lack of updates lately, I have been busy, but I do have some things to say.

1. There will be at least one comic up tomorrow, two if I have enough time/ if I can get my attention span to get in to one of It's stretchy moods.

2. The winner of the cat name contest is GrlumpTheElder, honorable mention goes to Dogmantra, but Fedora doesn't sound like a boy cat's name. Grlump will get both of his cameos by Wednesday at the latest.

3. I did get some things done this week though, I tweaked some of the characters a little and added in some of the subtle details that distinguish good artwork from pretty good artwork. These little tweaks will be shown in the next few comics.

The friendship is a reference to Mortal Kombat. It is a certain kind of fatality that you can do (such as Sub-Zero making a snowman with the enemy). When you do it Shao Kahn Shang Tsung proclaims "FRIENDSHIP! FRIENDSHIP?", so yeah.

Pretty good, but the combat is a bit confusing. I would suggest making it a bit less cramped, and showing the characters preparing the actions (i.e. magic energy on hands) Also, what happened to Kirby's hat? :smallconfused:

there are 2 explanations for the off panel magic
1) Kurt told Rae too restrain the man, Rae was shown casting, and in the next panel the man was wrapped in denim, it is a little obvious what happened.

2) the spell effect I envisioned at that particular point is a little too advanced for my skills at this point, and would have made the comic too long.

Also, is it just my monitor or does the comic look bad in full size?

Also, just a small nitpick: the hat is inaccurate. The Waluigi symbol on the hat should be yellow, with a thin black outline. Not purple. Just sayin'.

2a: this is Kirby III that's Kirby the third, he inherited his father's hat collection and his Grandfather's hat collection, he is bound to have at least 1 of basically every nintendo character's headgear.

Hmm, a talking dog, 2 characters who like to eat and are sort of the comic releif, a smart girl who invents things, an old spooky house, and splitting up. Where have I seen this before?

Also, from our 2 protagonists who create things so far we've seen:
From Ken: A hang glider, an auto-staff, and a lantern bot.
And from Rae: Many daggers, 2 claw blades, 5 tents, 5 chairs, a denim campfire, an electric proof denim Rain cover, 5 sleeping bags, (off panel, but mentioned) a cat bed and a dog bed. Anything i missed?

OK, explanation time. The simple of it is that when Kirby absorbs someone, and spits them out willingly, Trilby gains a copy of their star, just in case it's needed. Also, Trilby has a maximum carrying capacity of five stars and three other objects. He currently has 2 stars (MJ and Abe Lincoln) and 2 other objects (Cat food and bowl) stored. So yeah, Trilby is not a normal cat.

If you're gonna get prodded by anybody to do something, might as well be a girl. If a guy prods a girl it's sexual harrasment, if a guy prods a guy it's gay, if a girl prods a girl it's lesbian, and if a girl prods a guy it's surprising but not unwelcome.
