Wielder of the Shadowed Fist
Like their brothers, the shadow dancers, wielders of the shadowed fist walk the border between light and darkness. But, where the shadow dancers are "nimble artists of deception," a wielder of the shadowed fist seeks the power of shadow for another purpose: to infiltrate the homes of her enemies and destroy them.
Often building upon previous monastic training, a wielder of the shadowed fist contemplates the nature of shadow and darkness and, from this contemplation, learns to harness the deadly abilities of shadows for her own cause.
Most wielders of the shadowed fist are monk/rogues. Some focus heavily on one class or the other, while others seek to maintain a balance.

CLASS FEATURES
All of the following are class features of the wielder of the shadowed fist.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Shadowed fists gain no proficiency with any weapon or armor.
Monk Abilities: A shadowed fist adds her class level to her monk level to determine her class-based AC bonus, her unarmed damage, her unarmored speed bonus, and the number of daily uses of her Stunning Fist feat. If she has no monk levels, she gains the AC bonus, unarmed damage, and unarmored speed bonus of a monk whose level equals her shadowed fist level, but she can’t add her Wisdom bonus to her AC.
A shadowed fist does not count her class levels for the purpose of determining when she gains other monk class features, such as reduced penalties for flurry of blows attack rolls, bonus feats, evasion, or other special abilities.
Shadow's Caress: At 1st level, a shadowed fist gains the Weakening Touch feat (Complete Warrior, 106), even if she does not meet the prerequisites.
Unarmed Sneak Attack: At 2nd level, a shadowed fist gains the sneak attack ability of a rogue, but the extra damage applies only to sneak attacks made with an unarmed attack. When making a sneak attack with an unarmed strike, a shadowed fist deals an extra 1d6 points of damage at 2nd level, and this increases by +1d6 per every two shadowed fist class levels (+2d6 at 4th level, +3d6 at 6th level, and so on). This damage stacks with any other applicable sneak attack damage from previous classes.
Darkvision (Su): At 3rd level, a wielder of the shadowed fist can see in the dark as though she were permanently under the effects of a darkvison spell.
Stalking Step of the Shadow (Ex): At 3rd level, a shadowed fist may use the Move Silently and Hide skills and move at her normal speed without suffering a penalty to those skills.
Vanish with the Sudden Light (Su): At 5th level, a shadowed fist gains the ability to use the Hide skill even while being observed. Whenever the prevalent lighting conditions in the area change suddenly (such as a light spell is cast or a torch is lit), or as long as she is within 10 feet of some sort of shadow, a shadowed fist can hide herself from view in the open without anything to actually hide behind. She cannot, however, hide in her own shadow.
Uncanny Dodge (Ex): At 7th level, a shadowed fist has the ability to react to danger before her senses would normally allow her to even be aware of it. She retains her Dexterity bonus to AC (if any) regardless of being caught flat-footed or struck by an invisible attacker. (She still loses any Dexterity bonus to AC if immobilized.)
If a character gains uncanny dodge from a second class (such as barbarian or rogue), the character automatically gains improved uncanny dodge (see barbarian class description).
Improved Evasion (Ex): At 9th level, a shadowed fist gains the Improved Evasion ability. This ability works like evasion except that the shadowed fist takes no damage at on successful saving throws against attacks that allow a Reflex saving throw for half damage and takes only half damage even when she fails such saving throws.
Multiclassing Note: A monk who becomes a wielder of the shadowed fist can continue advancing as a monk.

This doesn't exactly seem like a lawful class, even though monks do have to be lawful...

Lawful is subjective, really. It could mean contemplative and disciplined, but still ruthless. Take the fanatical "shadowbane" classes in the Complete Adventurer. I'd imagine the wielders of the shadowed fist forming monasteries to study together and then coordinating attacks against a mutual enemy.
