Quinsar's Tower

[Quinsar]

It is a huge Tower in the Center of the city fo Verenoth.
Its layout constantly changes and will be described on a case by case basis.

Merna and QUnsar show up in a circular room with one door.

Merna looks around at the decor. So, what is this place?

A mage's tower . . .
Hey, are you afraid of heights?

Nope. Let me guess, we're high up?

Hundred twenty thousand feet... >.>
Look, I wanna let you know something.
he takes off his blue tinted sunglasses, letting her see his pure yellow eyes, no whites, just yellow.
I swear, while you're with me, I will let nothing happen to you.
Do you trust me?

She seems slightly surprised. Perhaps a combo of pure yellow eyes and suddenly being asked to trust someone she only just met. But, after a brief moment, she nods.

He smiles, slides his glasses back on, and offers his hand.

She hesitates for a moment, then takes it.

[Quinsar]

Smiling he leads her outside, they're on a ledge, more tower above and below them, they are very, very high up, thousands of miles of country and small towns are streched out before them, it is very, very beautiful, more so than the meteor storm. Directly below them is a huge, brightly lit city.
He tries to lead her to the edge, where the best view is.
Breathing should be normal.

Well, at first, her breath is taken away by the sight of it all. It's just so beautiful. She can be led to the edge, since her curiosity makes her want to see as much as she can.

He smiles and watches her.

She continues looking around, moving back and forth, seeing all she can see.

He keeps watching her.

She looks back at him. This is just amazing! How did you find this place?

Now, you ready for the fun part?
He asks, trying to put his arm around her.

She lets him put his arm around her. She's kind of curious now. She smiles and nods. Sure.

[Quinsar]

Ready?
Are you sure?

She nods, excitement building over what he's going to do.

[Quinsar]

He gets a grip on her with his other arm, and tries to pull them both jump off the ledge, so they're free falling.

Of course, she lets out a cry of surprise. She grabs a hold of him, and it's a tight grip.

[Quinsar]

He, grinning madly, looks around, the burning up thing, isn't happening.
It's about twenty minutes to the ground!

So I get twenty minutes to yell at you then? Good. Where she's from, people can't fly at all without airplanes. Well, actually, some Wind bases can, and a few Fire bases. But, she's Water base. So, she sees no way out of this other than death.

[Quinsar]

Didn't I tell you nothing's going to hurt you?

Her tone suggests she's not very happy about the situation.

Ok, there must be something you know that I don't. Nobody would be this calm right now without being able to get out of it.

She seems hesitant. So, for now, she just does a little spin on the spot.

She might see a tiny little fire ball flying at them...>.>

What's that? she asks, pointing at the fireball.

Hey! It's Flare!

THe fire ball stos and exstinguishes itse;f, it's a little grey, super cute puffball, it flies arond Merna, inspecting her.


Short deadtime while I run to the stor.

Flare? She sees it. Awww...

Square nods, and just stops, floating mid, leaving them to fall.

That's...different. Cute. She watches it shrink for a moment, then looks back at Quinsar. You know, you could have started this whole thing a little better. You know, rather than scaring the crap out of me. She gives him a stern look, but she can't keep it for long. She smiles. But, now, I think I'm having fun. She does another spin on the spot, but this time, small jets of water come out of her hands, so water spirals around her for a moment.

He hold sup a sign that read 10!

She smiles. You thinks that's pretty, watch this one. This time, it's a combo of water and ice.

He claps.

he holds up a sign with the infinity symbol.



The ground is getting close.

She decides to try a back flip now, and notices the ground. So, uh, about us not hitting the ground...

Oh yeah!
Close you eyes and brace for impact!
Trust me! You'll be fine!

She doesn't seem to trust him at all. But, what else can she do? She gives him a skeptical look, then closes her eyes.

And, in about...
Three seconds, she should feel her feet gently touch the ground, if she opens them, she'll be back in the rom she started in.

She opens her eyes. There is an obvious look of confusion and relief on her face as she looks around the room. What...how... She just doesn't know what to say.

She is still obviously confused. Yeah...you did...but...how...?

There's a big portal twenty feet off the ground around the tower...
It teleports back here....

Another moment of confusion, then Merna smiles. Then she giggles a little. Then she goes to hit Quinsar on the arm. You scared the crap outta me. She's still smiling, though.

She smiles again, then nods.

He smiles and begins to walk towards the door that leads to the ledge...

She follows. She still has a small smile on her face.

He opens the door, instead of the ledge, it leads to a hallway....

And she's surprised by that. Wow. How did you do that?

[Quinsar]

THe tower...
Changes its layout a lot...

He tries to lead her down the hall and up a set of stairs.

She follows, looking around in awe.

The stairs enter a room, at the very top of the tower. It's a dome, a glass dome, the view is even better than at the ledge. In the center of the room is a a table with two chairs, a plate, some bread, a white table cloth, a plate, two cups with ice water, and in the center of the table is a lit candle. The whole set up is very pretty.

She stares at the room in awe. Wow...it's so beautiful...

He smiles and pulls a chair out for her.

She sits down in it. Thank you.

He sits across from her.

He nods, and says something magicy.

Well, like how you can make portals. Or how you made this food appear. There's so many things here I've never seen before. It's going to take a while to get used to it all.

Well, I guess magic is similar to what we have. But we call them Base Abilities. And there are ten Bases; Wind, Water, Fire, Earth, Lightning, Kinetic, Shadow, Light, Time, and Life. Everybody has Abilities tied with one of the Bases, but it's not something you choose. Just born with.

We can train our's...
BUt, we have ones that come natural.
For example, I'm a spirit, while my brother is... All of them...
Anyways, you're a water base?

She nods. Yep. And we still have to train with our abilities in order to use them better. A Water Base has to train for a little while before they can use ice Abilities. She sips her water again. So you have a brother?

They appear in a horse drawn carriag, being pulled through a romantic park.

She looks around in amazement. Ok, you planned this one. She smiles.

She smiles. Well, it was a good choice. She goes to kiss him on the cheek.

The Town?
About two years...

Really? Huh. I've only been here about a month.

The horse is walking into a lake now...

Well, the first couple days here were horrible. But, it's ok now.

And deadtime has hit. Nighty night.

What happened?
The horse is completely under water, the caiirage is staring to go under too.

Um... She seems slightly distracted by the water, but decides to shake it off. I was part of a small force sent here by an organization called the Kuroko. Our mission was to eliminate a person who had almost completely destroyed the Kuroko some years ago. We found him and tracked him for a while. Somehow, he found out where we were. And he came for us, and...well...I'm the only one that survived.

She stares in wonder at the scenery, the current discussion having just been driven out of mind by it.

He smiles, the horse pulling them down a little road down the lake.

It ashoots out a bunch of multi colored bubbles, then it eats said bubbles.

She smirks at Quinsar just a,little, then watches the fish. Then "oohs" and "aahs" appropriately.

He tries to kiss her cheek, the carriage is leaving the lake.

She looks down at the ground below. Proportions are very weird. Normally, we could barely get this close to the ground. Now, it's so far up.

She looks at him for a moment, then shrugs and jumps in.

Good thing she thought of that last minute. The sound of him coming must have tipped her off. She steps to the side.

He lands with a bounce and stands, grinning.

He begins to jump to nearby platforms.

He comes to a small hole in the stomach wall.

If he goes in, she'll follow.

He does go in, and it launches them outside of the frog.

She enjoys the way down. She'll land on her feet, but the momentum makes her roll forward. Which means she ends up on her back.

Quinsar land head first, his head sticking under ground.

He says, voice muffled by dirt.

Merna gets up and looks for him. She gasps a little when seeing him. Hold on! She goes over and tries to dig him out.

He falls down from his headstand position onto his back, alright.
He starts laughing.

She starts laughing too.

He sits up, grinning ear to ear.

Well that was fun. She says, smiling. Then she smirks and tries to push Quinsar back by his forehead. Just to make him fall down again.

He not only falls back, bu goes into the hole which makes him flip over to his stomach.
He lands with an "Oof!"

She starts laughing. Oops.

He gives her an obviusly fake glare and laughs.

She decides to plop down onto the ground near him. She lays back and watches the sky.

THe sky is starless and moonless at this time.

He says, opening a door, inside is a small bed with white blankets.

Before she goes to sleep, she'll unpack her stuff. If his room is close enough, Quinsar will hear her humming happily. She'll stick Semaj's bin in one corner of the room, get into bed, and go to sleep.

Quinsar went somewhere to do some work.

Well, unless something out of the ordinary happens, she'll sleep through the night.

In the mornig she might smell food outside her door.

She does. She'll sit up in her bed, stretch a little, then throw on her slippers and walk to the door in her pajamas. She opens it and looks around.

On the floor is a covered platter with a not attached to it.

Curious, Merna will bend down to grab the platter and the note. She take them back into her room and set the platter on her dresser. Then she'll go to read the note.

The note is scrawled in messy handwriting.

Dear Merna:
Gone out for things, be back soon
I made you breakfast, hope you like it.=)

Aw. She'll put the note on the dresser, and then open the platter.

There's are two huge waffles with a cut up strawberry, syrup, and powdered sugar on top, theres some bacon, and orange, and some milk.

Wow. She grab the fork and knife that I am assuming were there and start eating.

Yeas, utensils for all!
The food tastes good.

Once finished, she'll lay back on her bed for a moment, since it was that good.

Then, she'll get up, get dressed, and take the stuff into the hall. She'll start walking around, looking for the kitchen.

Well, she's lucky!
The kitchen is on the floor below her, if she finds it, it's jsut an open kittchen area.

She'll try to find the sink, to wash the dishes she's carrying. She figures it's the least she could do, since he made such a nice breakfast.

She can wash the dishes.

Once washed and dried, she'll figure out where they go and put them away. Then she'll leave the kitchen and walk down the hall till something catches her eye.

Htere's the distinct sound of whistling from one room.
The door is cracked.

Curiosity strikes, and Merna will go to the room, listen for a moment, then see if she can see anything through the crack.

There's a young, black haired man in blue robes painting a vase.

For now, she watches, curious.

He's just painting, kind of in his own ittle world.

Merna decides to leave him be. I mean, it'd be kind of rude to interrupt him. She'll continue down the hall.

THeres a covered window at the end of the hall.
She could open the blinds.

And she does, because she wants to know what the view looks like.

She's fairly low to the ground, maybe the third story.
She's looking out at a city with sand lined seats.

She watches the scenery for a while, seeing if there's anything interesting to look at.

Out beyond the city walls is desert and some mountais.
She might see Quinsar unlocking the main gate of the tower...

She smiles and decides to watch him.

He's carrying some bags, and once he pushes the gate opens he walks into the tower.

She'll head down the hall and towards the front door. Whenever she meets up with him, she'll smile. Need any help with those?
