This is a monk prestige class for monks who like to use those never-used, silly monk weapons. He uses precise strike/ability score damage as his main form of offense, but he sacrifices it for a lot of the normal monk's defensive abilities.

Disciple of the Snake

These martial artists have trained extensively with the deadly siangham. By mimicking the strikes of a snake, they can dart past their enemy’s defenses and strike at vital spots. Indeed, some disciples have learnt how to disrupt the life force of their targets by channeling their Ki energies into their sianghams, causing powerful ailments that seem almost like the venom of a snake. Most disciples are monks who have decided to focus on using the siangham, rather than their fists, as their primary means of heightening their physical prowess. But there have also been many cases of mercenaries, duelists, fighters and barbarians traveling to monasteries so that they may learn this deadly art.

Requirements: Combat Reflexes, Weapon Finesse (Siangham), Weapon Focus (Siangham), Base Attack Bonus +6

Base Attack Bonus: Good
Saves: Fortitude Good, Reflex Bad, Will Bad
Hit Dice: d8
Skill Points: 4 + Int Modifier
Class Skills: Same as Monk
A Disciple of the Snake gains no weapon or armor proficiencies.

Special Abilities
1: Snake’s Defense
2: Precise Strike +1d6
3: Fury of the Snake
4: Pit Viper Strike
5: Precise Strike +2d6
6: Eyes of the Snake
7: Black Adder Strike
8: Precise Strike +3d6
9: Way of the Snake
10: Death Cobra Strike

Snake’s Defense: When wearing no armor and using a siangham, the Disciple of the Snake can add one point of his intelligence modifier to his AC per level of Disciple of the Snake he has. He retains this armor bonus against touch attacks, but not when flatfooted. This stacks with the monk’s AC Bonus.
Precise Strike: At 2nd level, a Disciple of the Snake gains the ability to strike precisely with a light or one-handed piercing weapon, gaining an extra 1d6 damage added to her normal damage roll. When making a precise strike, a Disciple cannot attack with a weapon in her other hand or use a shield. A Disciple’s precise strike only works against living creatures with discernible anatomies. Any creature that is immune to critical hits is not vulnerable to a precise strike, and any item or ability that protects a creature from critical hits also protects a creature from a precise strike. At 5th and 8th level, the extra damage on a precise strike increases by +1d6.

Fury of the Snake (Ex): The Disciple gains the fighter feat Weapon Specialization for the Siangham

Black Adder Strike (Su): The Disciple deals an additional 1d6 constitution damage in his attacks with a Siangham, a fortitude save negates this damage. The difficulty check for the save is equal to 10 + the number of Disciple of the Snake levels + the Disciple’s Ki Weapon bonus to damage.

Ki Weapon (Su): The Disciple of the Snake can transfer his Ki energies into his Siangham, but cannot be encumbered by armor while doing so. A Disciple of the Snake can, if he had these abilities before entering the prestige class, make Stunning Fist, Ki Strike and Quivering Palm and all other unarmed special attacks using his Siangham. Furthermore, he gains bonus damage to all his Siangham attacks based on his unarmed strike damage before. If his unarmed strike damage was 1d6, he gains a +1 to damage, 1d8:+2, 1d10+3, 2d6:+4 and 2d8 or more:+5.

Eyes of the Snake (Ex): The Disciple gains the fighter feat Greater Weapon Focus for the Siangham

Pit Viper Strike (Su): The Disciple may choose instead to deal an additional 1d6 strength damage in his attacks with a Siangham, a fortitude save negates this damage. A Disciple may not use both Pit Viper Strike and Black Adder Strike in the same attack. The difficulty check for the save is equal to 10 + the number of Disciple of the Snake levels + the Disciple’s Ki Weapon bonus to damage.

Way of the Snake (Ex): The Disciple gains the fighter feat Greater Weapon Specialization for the Siangham

Death Cobra Strike (Su): The Disciple may choose instead to deal an additional 1d8 dexterity damage in his attacks with a Siangham, a fortitude save negates this damage. The Disciple may not use Pit Viper Strike, Black Adder Strike or Death Cobra Strike in the same attack. A Disciple may not use both Pit Viper Strike and Black Adder Strike in the same attack. The difficulty check for the save is equal to 15 + the number of Disciple of the Snake levels + the Disciple’s Ki Weapon bonus to damage. Additionally, once per day the Disciple may declare his attack to be a lethal death cobra strike. If the attack hits, the target must make a fortitude save at -4 (DC: 10 + the number of Disciple of the Snake levels + the Disciple’s Ki Weapon bonus to damage) or die.

Sounds good, like most other classes... I don't know how it will actually behave in an actual game: it seems somewhat more powerful than the "vanilla" monk in terms of combat, but then again, the monk wasn't a powerhouse of destruction as it was. On the other hand, it is a viable option for a martial artist who isn't a monk.

I'm not sure I understand the rationale for the ability-hurting attacks (particularly constitution). Perhaps a paralysis attack would be more appropriate? Also, maybe you could include a flurry progression with the signature weapon for some of your classes.

Heh. This is cool. It's like a prestige class version of the styles (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/variantCharacterClasses.htm#monkVariantFightingSty les) I made here (http://www.giantitp.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?action=display;board=homebrew;num=11545714 26;start=0#8) (Striking Viper, a little bit way down the post). Snaky monks w/sianghams FTW!

Ironically, one of the best things for such a monk is a feat allowing their hands to deal piercing damage as well :D
