So, recently in a campaign I am playing in, I cast invisibility. After a fight I leveled, does this mean I increase the duration of the spell?

This is up to your DM.

If it were up to me, I would say no, as you'd cast it as the lower level character. You're already getting bonus HP from the level up; you can survive not getting the +1 round duration on your invisibility.

Then again, if it were up to me, you'd be getting all the exp at the end of the current story-arc, so it wouldn't really matter.

I'd check with your DM, but 99.99% likely the answer will be no.

I'd say you use the caster level at the time of casting. Also, some DMs would simply calculate XPs at the end of the session, let alone end of encounter :)

Yes... but on the current casting, yeah DM's call.

It would have the same answer as
"If I get level drained after I cast a bunch of buffs, do the buff durations get reduced?"

I think I'm with the 'set durations when the spell is cast' crowd on this one.

By the way, you seem to have posted this thread three times by accident (at thread numbers 109945 and 109947)

If you cast it again.
