We need various floor plans and schematics for houses, mansions, giant towers, schools, factories, etc. Far to often do I find myself needing a floor plan (fantasy or otherwise) and not being able to find anything that's worth the search. It'd be nice if we had a bunch of maps in one spot.

If you have a bit of disposable income, there is a very high quality product that gives you dungeon tiles that you can mix, match, and place in a second to make thousands of different designs. They also have a grid on them so you can use them easily with miniatures and Steelsquire spell templates.

Otherwise, dry or wet erase grids are simple enough to draw on. The grid is already there, you just add in the details like walls, pits, stairs, furniture, etc. Not quite as handy to setup/tear down as dungeon tiles, but definitely cheaper and a bit more versitile.

Go grab a bunch of free floor plans, or go and look at actual buildings. You could take maps from RPGA modules, or base some areas on the more labyrinthine of a local university's buildings.

Rackham (http://www.rackham.fr) sells so called "gaming tiles" for their Cadwallon RPG. I don't know wether you can get them in your neck of the woods, and they don't exactly come cheap, but they're really beautifully designed.

That's all well and good, but I'm talking about premade maps so that all you have to do is transfer over the layout to the tiles/erasable mat. That way you don't have to make up a big layout in such a hurry.
