A Crystalline Crawler resembles a slug made of overlapping metal plates, with a large crystal embedded within its back. When a power is stored in the Crawler, the crystal pulses with faint light, giving off light as a candle.

Store Power (Su)
Any psionic character may store a power of a level less than or equal to half the Crystalline Crawler’s HD in the crystal on the construct’s back. Doing so takes ten minutes and requires the character maintain in contact with the Crawler for the whole of the 10 minutes. Once the power has been stored in the Crawler, it may then manifest it, treating the power as if it had been manifested normally by the character that stored the power in the crawler. Only one pwer may be stored at a time.

Construction
The body of a Crystalline Crawler is made from five pounds of iron and a piece of deep crystal, worth a total of 50 gp. Assembling the body of the Crystalline Crawler requires a DC 14 Craft (Armorsmithing or Weaponsmithing) check. A Crystalline Crawler with more than 2 Hit Dice can be created, but each additional Hit Die adds +2,000 gp to the cost to create. A psychic artificer may choose to craft a Crystalline Crawler as a homunculus. If he does so, he must use a pint of his own blood in creating it. So, do these things do anything special around crysmals?
Nah. They have very little crystal in them. For a comparison, think of a stone golem with an iron face plate vs. a rust monster. Just too little crystal for there to be any significant effect.

What about the middle one? If a Crysmal eats its crystal, can it still see ethereal things and shoot force bolts?
