Hey, long time DM of 3.5 here, but I happen to be about to start playing in a 3.5 and a 4th campaign now. It's been a long time since I played as a player.

First things first, I don't really know much about 4e. I've read the books a bit, played in a very short campaign, so I know the basics of it. I was wondering what kind of feats/options I should take? We're starting at level 6... I know I'm taking Tome of Readiness, I was wondering what feats I could take to maximize the number of powers of I know?

Race is probably Eladrin, but I don't rule out human.

As for 3.5, I have no idea what I might do. I'm either pursuing a Master Specialist build or an Archmage/Initiate/Ruathar build, but I'm sure my DM won't allow me to take all three prestiges on the same build. Basically, that one will probably be level one or two. I will probably focus in conjuration, great selection of spells, and that power to teleport 10 feet as an immediate action is absolutely insane at low levels. Which two schools should I ban? I am sure about enchantment, I was thinking evocation as well, although I will miss spells that damage an area. (Yes, I know the orbs are better, but not against large groups, which the dm throws a lot of). Thanks!
