So, been playing the latest Star Ocean and I couldn't help but notice how it's pretty much Japanese Star Trek.
Just recently, I
Went through a Black Hole into 1957 America. And inexplicably was propelled back somehow.
It's complete with Warp Drive, and "Exolithium Crystals" which help contain matter/antimatter reactions. And, all the aliens arbitrarily all look like humans. Since there seems to be religious elements (more Star Trek!) I expect it to be something like "the gods did it!"
Further more, kids seem to get thrust into situations of extreme importance. I'm half expecting to come across my evil alternate universe counterpart, who takes over the ship.
It's still a fun game mind you, and the Grind isn't quite so hideous as it can get in these kinds of games.
