It just occurred to me... has there actually been a jail on panel that hasn't been broken out of by simply ripping the iron bars apart yet?

Using the same contractors that worked on Arkham Asylum?

Read Origin of PCs? The jail in there gets litterally blown apart...

While there technically aren't any iron bars to break, it most certainly fulfills the spirit of the OP

I haven't read any of the books yet (but plan to remedy this over the summer if possible)

So yes, a lot of jails have bars too tough to break, but we don't seem to have seen a jail that is tough to break out of some way. And probably won't as a thousand pictures of somebody sitting in a cell sounds rather dull.

I rather liked the time Elan and Thog spent in jail prior to breaking out. :smallfrown:

at what point did the bars break, other than when a guy with superhuman strength got pissed off, there WAS a jailbreak, but that was the one super smart big dude who just let them out

It is common in fiction: no one stays in jail for long, and it is always depressingly easy to evade.

262 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0262.html) and 458 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0458.html") barely count. This is the same jail that was broken out by Miko in 460 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0460.html").

Not the same cell (at least we don't know) but clearly the same jail.

Especially Thog's "Nailing Not-Nale" speech. Funniest thing ever.

Yeah, I'm referring to jail, not cell.

Even in 120... you don't see a key anywhere, so it's possible the plan was 'kill the guard, smash the bars'. We'll never know. Good catch though

I said I liked it, not that i ever understood it, cause i got dizzy reading Thog's not-Nale stuff. But yeah it was that same that made the alone time for those two so good. Elan gets to see how everyone else feels when he is around.
