Radiance
Evocation
Level: Arcane 5, Divine 5; Components: V, S; Casting Time: 1 swift action; Range: Personal; Duration: 1 round/level

You pull energy into yourself, granting an aura of energy that gives you a godlike presence.
Any creature within 20ft. when this spell is cast must make a Will save or be shaken for the spell's duration.
While the spell is in effect, you exude bright light or deep shadow (your choice) in a 5ft. radius emanation centred on yourself. The bright light acts as a daylight spell, the shadow is a low-light condition, granting concealment (20%) unless the attacker has lowlight vision or darkvision.
You also have a +4 enhancement bonus to Charisma.

Nothing at all?

Imbalanced.

Critically.

How?

I would venture to say that the aura radiated should be according to one's alignment. A good character gives off light, while an evil one puts off shadow.

I'd raise the spellcaster level 1 slot too, considering charisma casters get a nice +2 to all DCs from this.

Due to the magical nature of D&D, 'How?' is a very open question.

What spell did you base this off of when comparing relative power levels? Are you looking to create a 5th level spell, or this specific spell?

This specific spell. It looked powerful, so I put it at the highest level.

I think you could balance it by either:

A: Making it a 10' burst

or

B: Making it a 30' cone.

And I don't know about the casting time of 1 swift action.

Considering a feat gives you a 15' burst, useable as a free action at will with the save effect and a much higher saving throw, that part of the spell isn't at all unbalanced.
