The Flumphs get no respect, are incredibly cute, and are Lawful Good and have since been updated to 3.5 so they don't need to be considered 'outdated freaks' anymore by the jaded world.

So what happened to them after they stood witness in the trial of the order of the stick?

Did they become part of one of the le resistance?

After all, they're lawful good...

And a trade insults between them and the remaining Demonic Cockroaches would be a riot!

Don't worry, they'll come back sooner or later.

Actually, the last time we saw them was in comic 526 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0526.html), during the Azure City Resistance mini-arc.

Wonder if they've done the smart thing and joined with the resistance...

Since I doubt they're getting out of Azure City alive otherwise.

They were last seen in the presence of what appeared to be an evil flumph ghost.

:roy: We're tied now! Roy-1, ground-1

They were actually last seen (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/duad/20090401) with their friend the Gnome (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/files/Dnd1.mp3) and his pet Minion Badger, Francis (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/files/Dnd3.mp3), in his gorgeous lair (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/files/Dnd2.mp3). :smalltongue:

I don't recall any of that in the strips. :smallconfused:

Isn't that campaign an April Fool's Joke?

Why not?

Wait...they have names? I've just been refering to them as the "outdated monsters" for what seems like forever.

Why not?

Obviously because nothing in the comics has indicated a shift to 4.0 rules. Jeez guys, we're trying to have a serious analysis here

Maybe they left before the battle.

Out of interest, since I've never encountered a Flumph in a game what could they offer the resistance?

Padding, presumably.

Imagine an aberration that, when flipped upside down, becomes helpless. Though, they are Lawful Good for some reason. Now, of what use are they?

I think they skipped 3.x though, jumping from 2nd edition to 4th edition as part of an April Fool's joke. At least, this is the impression OotS + Fool's Delve gives me.
