In the face of tragedy, terror, and despair, not all prevail. The wills of some collapse, and they seek any relief from the tortures of a conscious life. Thus, they become Dreamers.
Applicabled to: Any humanoid with caster levels. Applied at creation or after a huge tragedy.
Stats:
LA +3 (might be too high)
Neutral: Dreamers lack a general sense of right and wrong.
Bonuses and Penalties:
Dex -2: While lethargic, Dreamers can withstand more damage.
Str: -1
Con +2
Wis +2
+2 to Will Saves
+2 to Fort Saves
-2 to Reflex Saves
+4 to Concentration checks
-1 to Initiative checks
Spells cast on a Dreamer that induce fear or work as Suggestion receive a +2 DC. (Dreamers are prone to nightmares and the suggestions of others.)
Immunity to confused, fascinated, nauseated, sickened, fatigued (until they become exhausted) and stunned.
Abilities:
Dreamwalk: When a Dreamer is put to sleep, or is sleeping, they may choose to 'stay awake' as they fall asleep. If they do, a Dreamer may move and act as normal but in a trance. While in this state, they receive +2 DC to all spells they cast that induce any degree of fatigue or sleep. Any bonuses and penalties mentioned above are double for this duration. They also receive a -10 penalty to all skill checks except Concentration. All spells cast by a Dreamer in this state act as if cast by a spellcaster 3 levels higher. (An addition 2 levels higher, if the spell induces fear, sleep, fatigue, or works like Phantasmal Killer)
Dreamers can 'Dream' at will, as a spell-like ability.
Astral Projection (1/month): On self (does not include others), while sleeping until the body is awoken either voluntarily or by others.
Rest(3/day): A Dreamer may automatically fall asleep at will up to three times a day. If standing, they may remain standing.
Spellcasters with the Dreamer Template only need to sleep (without the Dreamwalk ability) for 4 hours to prepare their spells, or they may decide to prerpare them normally.
