View Full Version : Versatile Spellcaster
After a google search I was unable to find an answer to my question, hopefully I can get some help here. Does the Versatile Spellcaster feat from Races of the Dragon allow a spontaneous caster to cast a metamagic spell at first level.
IE give up two level 1 slots to cast a Silent Charm Person.

No, I have massive hatred for the FAQ, Custserv, and Sage, but I know it's out there. Someone will probably be along in a minute.

Here is your answer. (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/4ask/20080603a) That is exactly how the feat works as-written, and judging by what I linked I'd say that's exactly how the designers intended for it to be used.
