You made some mistakes with the links.

Anyways, my vote is for 568.

I vote for 566. That Oracle got what was coming to him. If only it was more permanent.

Has to be 568 surely?

And I just noticed that the link gave the wrong number. Okay, let me edit my answer than.

568 for creative civics.

Also the turning point for Belkar's character, this is when he began to be interesting.

EDIT: Vote changed due to flubbed first post. The links don't match the issue numbers.

I was all set to vote for 568. I mean, it's the easy choice, right? But then Haley finally stops taking Belkar's crap and tells Celia to shut the hell up? It may not have lasted for long, but that was pretty sweet. Possibly the lone vote for 570.

Dalenthas
2009-06-09, 08:21 PM
Anyone else notice it goes 566-569, then jumps to 590? Oddly enough 590 is numbered right, but the others are numbered one less.

Another vote for 570.

568 with the power of the Mark of Justice.

On a side note. I will be gone all summer and won't be able to do my assisstant duties. Anyone out there who wants to be a temporary assisstant to the Stick Awards while I'm gone? I think Aaron wouldn't mind.

I'd like to cast another vote for 567. All of the others were good, and some were funnier, but I definitely think 567 was the best overall strip for dialogue and story.

Oof. Really tough call between 568 and 570. Brilliant comedy vs. Haley's bad-assitude. Going with 568, but by a narrow margin.

570 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0570.html)

Unlike the vast majority of this board, I hate Belkar. He's annoying, he's stupid, and it's a pain in the rump to imagine being in a game with him. He was funny sometimes before Azure City, then he lost some of his funniness until Roy died, and then he just got annoying. And more annoying. And more annoying.

As a GM I would've asked him to leave the game after the Oracle. I would have said, "I'm sorry, but your character is interfering with the fun of the other players, and you have to either shape up or ship out." I think that's what we saw, btw, when Belkar was fixed.

Also unlike (apparently) the majority of this board I do not appreciate his attitude towards women and I really wish that would come back to bite him in the ass, in a big way.

Well, I cast my vote for 657. I mean, oracle death, people!

On an unrelated side note, I will be covering for Silverraptor while he's gone for summer as the Stick Awards assistant. And as such, I remind you to please to bold the numbers of your votes, so Nazzo, the 102nd will have an easier time counting them. I will also remind you guys that the polls close today at 7:00 PM forum default time, so cast your votes, people!

Okay, so I forgot about Lickmyorangeballshalfling, but while that would have made 568 the favorite I didn't think it would win in a landslide against 567! That 567 wound up in a battle with 570 for second tells me forum and in-jokes might not succeed as well as you might think, but for 568 to run away like this tells me it's probably the favorite for BotQ and could actually challenge 542 at BotH.

572 has Belkar's "last breath" and Roy keeping his memories, 573 has banter between Haley and Celia, 574 has Celia's stupidity, and 575 might be best of a weak group (another BotQ runt, maybe worse than 565) with more of Celia's stupidity, crazy-Belkar in action, and the antics of Mr. Grubwiggler. (I didn't mention 571 on purpose.)

BotQ looks to come down to 552, 560, and 568, and really only 560 and 568.
