So I'm messing around with Inkscape, and I'm finding that when I try to put words in word balloons, that they end up being cramped and difficult to read or take up too much space.

Like so:

This isn't part of a larger strip, it's just something I made to amuse myself. But trying to do word balloons well is driving me up the wall, and this is a good example. How do I set up Inkscape with a decent font size (and font) so that I don't have to deal with a) resizing and b) legibility issue? How much space should word balloons take up?

Personally I like to use rounded rectangles.
And I use size 10 font.
and the Inkscape Help Thread (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=111767) may be of some use to you.

Good point on the rounded rectangles.

And thank you for the pointer to the other thread. :)
