Am I the first one to notice that the three fiends actually appear in comic 380 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0380.html), but it implies that they are/were in coordination with Sabine before we first saw the linear guild?

No, it was first noticed within about a few minutes after the comic with their appearance on the island came up. It hasn't come up recently, yes, but mostly because it's accepted fact. :)

Think nothing of it. :) We're an obsessed bunch. If you find yourself asking the question "Has anyone else noticed that x from comic y had appeared in comic z earlier?" more than a few days after comic y comes up, the answer is most assuredly "yes". XD

No, actually...I came up with one that everyone seemed surprised at.

So which one is which alignment - Qarr (lawful) has no trouble shifting to that plane which is the home plane of the one with yellow eyes, but the one with orange eyes is the one who gets the throwaway joke about his "college buddies" being the Blue Devils and Sundevils mascots.

Has it ever been explicitly stated which one is which? Or which soul was which alignment, for that matter?

I presumed that as well, except that there are some little inconsistencies.

For instance, the Orange Fiend seems to be a devil (went to Devil colleges (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0640.html) and has control over a LE soul (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0633.html)), but it's the Yellow Fiend that is Director Lee (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0637.html).

That's the major one, but there are other little problems as well, IIRC.

I just chalk it up to the whole CEdric, LEe, and NEro name thing being a deliberate red herring. :smallwink:

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the IFCC stresses equality and cooperation between the three fiend races, so naturally they may be some atypical task distributions among them. Hell, maybe they even picked their pseudonyms based on that idea, and Lee is actually Chaotic Evil. We shouldn't be able to tell, because the point is for them to work together.
