Class Features:

Smite Unbeliever (Su): The first ability a crusader gets is the power to smite those who would oppose his deity. The crusader can use this ability on anyone who neither shares his alignment nor worships his deity, but it is usually reserved for those who are the target of his crusades. He can use this ability once per day at first level, and one additional time per day every three levels thereafter. This attack, which cannot be combined with any similar ability such as a paladin’s smite evil, adds the Crusaders charisma bonus (if any) to the attack roll and her Crusader level to the damage roll. If the crusader accidentally smites a believer, the ability is still used up.
Divine Favour (Su): Starting at 2nd level, the crusader can call upon the favour of her Deity. This takes the form of a +2 sacred (or profane, neutral crusaders can choose either) bonus to attack and damage rolls for a number of rounds equal to the crusader’s crusader level + his charisma bonus (if any). This is usable once per day at 2nd level, and an additional time per day every 6 levels thereafter.

Bonus Feats: At 3rd Level, A crusader gains weapon specialisation with his deity’s favoured weapon, even if he does not meet the prerequisites. At 6th Level he gains Greater weapon focus for the weapon, and at 9th he gains greater weapon specialisation. If he already has any of these feats, he gains no benefit.

Improved Magic Weapon: At fifth level, a crusaders affinity with his weapon allows him to better empower it with his divine magic. When he casts Magic Weapon on his deity’s favoured weapon, it grants a +2 bonus, rather than +1.

Code of Honour: If a Crusader ever rebels against his deity’s orders, or his alignment moves more than one step away from his deity’s, he loses all abilities from this class except the bonus feats. He must atone before he regains them and can again take levels in this class, or qualify for it through a new deity, in which case he can switch the bonus feats to this new deity’s favoured weapon by meditating for a number of days equal to his previous crusader level, and having them blessed by a cleric of the deity.

Multiclass Note: A paladin who advances as a crusader can freely Multiclass back to paladin

This is my first homebrew. It's meant for militant wings of any particular church, mainly for the use of favoured souls and paladins though fighters with a dip could also make use of many of the abilities. Be nice

So if I read this correctly, a level 4 anything level 1 cleric with the War domain can enter this prestige class.

Compared to a Paladin, what are your balancing conciderations? And what about this Magic Weapon thing? It doesn't stack with the enhancement bonus of magic weapons.
