So, I'm thinking about running a campaign with d20 Future/Modern where the PC's are Military and/or Freelance mech pilots who help defend a major metropolitan center from Kaiju-style monsters (think Godzilla, Gedorah, etc.)
(Also, I'm wondering if Big Eyes, Small Mouth would be better for this setting? I've never actually gotten a chance to see the book in person.)
I'm thinking of doing it in a style that sort of lampoons the genre, calling the main city Futropolis or something along those lines. It would be rare that the PC's would leave this city during the campaign.
Has anyone run a mech campaign from the d20 Future book? If so, what should I watch for in regards to balance issues?
Also any ideas would be appreciated, especially in regard to creating some Kaiju monsters.
