Hi, I need some help in order to create a Wizard/Loremaster/Archmage/Something else.

I don't plan to use the character right now, but I'm toying with the a character concept. The only pre-requisite is that he must be human and have the feat Exchew Materail components in the first level.

Thanks in advance.

What sources are you working with? That's really the most important question. In Core, the best you can really do is Wizard 7/Loremaster 8-10/Archmage 3-5.

Mostly anything, but if it would be nice to keep it at complete arcane/mage.

*shrug* Toss two levels of Divine Oracle in there. Levels 5-6 are basically free due to the shared Skill Focus: Knowledge requirement (you can use it to qualify for Loremaster too, and then pick a bonus feat to make up for it from Loremaster progression).

Other than that, I don't know what to tell you. Wizard 5/Divine Oracle 2/Loremaster 8-10/Archmage 3-5 (depending on how many High Arcanas you want) is the probably the way to go, unless you want Master Specialist, less Loremaster more Oracle or some other class.

Really, I don't know what to tell you; you aren't giving me terribly much to work with. I don't really see what part you need help with; seems pretty obvious how that exact build goes.

The right reserve feats can give you an ability similar to the archmage's Arcane fire, without having to sacrifice a higherlevel spell.

What divine oracle do? I don't have the books at hand now.

Since there are so many great wizard builds floating around out there, what role are you trying to fill within the party?

I second the use of reserve feats if you have Complete Mage available, especially when used correctly. While the Summon Elemental reserve feat isn't all that great in battle, it's fantastic for having free scouts without tying up your spells.

So in considering feats, etc, what type of wizard do you want?

Divine Oracle improves your Divinations and gives you something like armored uncanny dodge and handy stuff like that. The kicker ability is on 10 where he becomes immune to surprise, but you won't get that far. Just more useful than Wizard tho.

A type of battlefield controler tactician.

The character usually uses some form of divination to see what he will need the next day and go with it but don't over do the optimisation.

In the setting all the broken spells (polymorh line, celerity, etc) are "legendary" spells, so he either doesn't have acess to it or if he uses it too much people will start to look after him indefilitely for all the right and wrong purposes. Oh yeah, the world isn't all that optimisation heavy, since 1st-2nd level heroes are quite commun, but past 5th-7th you are a renowed hero and at 10th level there are probably as much as a few dozen at the same time (very low life spectative at this range). Oddly enough, there are quite a lot of level 20+ NPCS walking around.

The party members include female fighter -> would be horizon tripper (the char best friend and future girlfriend) and after that comes: a cleric that think healing in combat is the best idea and a homebrew rogue CN succubus (less power, HD and LA).

Yes, it's from a story i'm thinking about, but the build can be handy for future references.

Edit: Uhm... nice! The divine oracle looks cool and kind of fit the character.
