I realized i read in a monster manual of a creature that was a hideous thing that was covered in mouths and when it ate something it was sent to a demi plane inside itself. I think it was monster manual 5 but im not sure..... anyone sound familar?

The Dalmosh.

I was reading through MM1 to MM5, focusing on beings with a high CR, looking for things that might be MitD. The Dalmosh has a CR of 17 if anyone is intersted :-)

I thought it looked a good candidate, but it appears to be unique (so no father) and it dosn't have any listed abilities like wish, miracle, gate or similar.

Strength fits though - 42 !
