Crimson's eyes flick away in embarrassment.

What she doesn't understand is why those sisters hadn't come for her yet.

Because Irene and friends were on a magical plot trip?

Crimson smiles happily and drops the subject, snuggling up to Irene a bit more.

Irene was kinda hoping the sisters would show up here while they were away and get smacked around by the other members.

Bursting into tears, she flees from the Detention Wing.

Eladrin wiggles his toes about in the hot tub. He pulls his sword out and start to polish it.

(Everyone seems to be occupied with there own little things)

Dani might feel a cold presence in the air around her as if a cold breeze had settled on her. (It's Alexis' spirit.)

She nibbles his bottom lip. I thought you might like those...And I have more to offer...

Lex smiles in her cell. I sure loved talking to you Dani!! She calls behind the fleeing girl.

Irene stretches a bit. "Do you want to watch another one?" She doesn't really seem all that interested in moving though.

"Okay."
Crimson says, resting her head on Irene's lap once more.

"Sure." Huh.

Irene is making no move. Oh well. It's like the cat in the lap syndrome. You just don't want to disturb it.

Crimson looks up at Irene with a big, content smile on her face.
"Hi."

[Reinholdt]

"Hi." Irene looks down.

Then blushes a bit and looks away after realizing how long they've been like this. "So... which one would you like to watch?"

Alex shivers some more, and his eyes widen a little. More? I wouldn't have thought that was possible...

Dani, crying a little more at the pixie's taunt, pauses in the hallway outside the detention area, looking up as she feels a chill, rubbing her arms.

Crimson sits up a little at the question and looks over all the ones they have available.
"Um..."
She finally settles on Cinderella.

She chuckles and kisses along his neck, wrapping her legs around his waist. Seems I have much to show you...

The chill seems to follow Dani, as if watching her. It tries to "Hug" her.. It would feel like increased pressure and cold in the areas you'd feel pressure from a hug.

"That's a good one." Irene pops the movie in and gets it started before sitting back down.

This time, Crimson scoots into Irene's lap and pulls her blanket around both of them as the movie begins.

Alex isn't just shivering, more like trembling now.

He goes to trace his fingers across her back.



Dani shivers a little, then pauses as she gets the distinct feeling she's being hugged...
Not knowing quite what is going on, she decides to try to hug back...

She ends up hugging what seems to just be cold air. Unless she can see spiritual energy of course.

Irene blushes a little more before wrapping her arms around Crimson and sitting back to watch the movie.

Crimson doesn't seem to notice Irene's blushing, but keeps her attention on the movie this time.

Dani can't, but she figured if something was hugging her...
Who's there? she asks in a whisper, eyes wide, tears still shining on her cheeks.




Alex nods, and leans over to Alexis* lips, trying to catch them with his and kiss them passionatly. If not quite expertly yet.
His hands run down to her bottom and try to give it a squeeze...

Alexis kisses him back deeply, letting his hands wander as much as they want.

There is no answer but the air seems to swirl around Dani, and get colder. As if trying to get her to remember something through the temperature.

Irene waits patiently for the movie to get through, though shifts once or twice to keep her legs from falling asleep under the weight.

Eventually the movie ends, and Crimson smiles up at Irene.
"I liked that one too."
She snuggles into the nymph happily.

Dani does remember, and her eyes widen a little.
...you're not...no, you're not coming back to gloat!

Alex's hands wander a good bit, concentrating on her backside but also wandering up and down her back and sides as he kisses her eagerly and passionatly right there in the pool.

"You like the ones with happy endings, don't you? There are some movies that don't end happily."

With one pull of a string, Alexis' bikini top falls as she moves to kiss his neck.

Crimson frowns.
"Why would someone make an ending that wasn't happy?"

This has predictable results on Alex...
Should we...go to your room? he manages to gasp out as his hands go to explore the new territory.

Mmm, probably... But she makes no move to get out. He's probably going to have to carry her, not that she weighs much really.

"Well.... some people see it as art. Or some say its more realistic. Some people just like seeing unhappy endings I guess. I suppose it gets their mind off their own lives or something. I don't know."

The wind buffets louder around her, getting colder trying to indicate a wrong answer.

Crimson pouts a little, pulling her blanket tighter around herself.

After a moment Dani calms, and seems to realise something more, helped perhaps by the wind...
...is that you, Lexie? she whispers, eyes very wide.


It takes a minute for Alex to get his mind operating enough to process to carry her. :smalltongue: But he shifts his hands to support her weight...yeah, that's it...as he climbs out of the pool and carries her to her room.



Quinn, finished in the Infirmary, heads for her room for sleep, trying to climb into bed next to Misaki without awakening the younger girl.

"Don't worry about it. You don't have to watch any of the sad ending ones if you don't want to. Not everyone likes them." Irene gives Crimson a reassuring smile.

The wind goes quite and then softly blows on Danis' cheek as if stroking it.

She kisses along his neck all the way there, letting her own hands wander. Her bikini top remains behind in the pool...

Alex quickly closes the door to her room behind them, going to fall back onto the bed with Alexis on top of him, his hands sliding under her bottoms now as the curtain stands poised and ready...



Dani starts crying softly, tears of joy more than anything else.
I'm sorry we didn't come for you, we tried...I...I kinda followed your advice, Sam and I are engaged...but...I love you, Lexie...
She reaches up herself to try and stroke her own fingers across the chill caressing her cheek.

Crimson looks somewhat reassured as she hugs Irene.

Grinning, she sits up giving him a nice view and pulls the curtain across.

The wind feels icy and cold under Danis' fingers perhaps reminding her of the finality of death. However Alexis doesn't seem upset at all at Dani's decision.

It's really a fairly bitter sweet chapter of Danielles' life. I'd be surprised if you weren't

"I think that's enough for one night though." Irene hugs Crimson before working on standing up and stretching. Two movies is a lot.

Crimson nods in agreement and watches Irene stretch as she stretches herself out over the couch.

[Reinholdt]

"I'm going to head to bed. Maybe work a bit on those redemption classes first. Night Scarlet."

Dani gently tries to run her fingers across the icy wind as best she can, smiling softly as her cheeks glisten with tears.

Quinn falls asleep hugging Misaki.

She pauses when she gets back to her room though, thinking about something. She turns and heads to the detention center and starts checking the cells to see if Shrike is still there.

Quinn wakes up and tries to slip out of bed without waking up Misaki to go take a shower.

Alex is busy sleeping off the most exciting night of his life...

Misaki wakes up, sitting up in the bed and yawning.

She'll hear the shower running, and Quinn's singing coming from it.

Misaki's a bit bleary for practical jokes, so she'll just sit and listen to the singing.

Quinn is singing another of her Celtic melodies, this one sounding sad and melancholy, yet with an undercurrent of love.

Little Misaki's heart is moved by the song, and she sits, a little bit entranced.

The song comes to an end, the shower shuts off, and a minute or three later Quinn emerges, wrapped in a towel and smiling, heading for the closet.

"Hi, Quinn. That was really pretty."

Quinn starts a bit, not having noticed Misaki awake, then glances back with her cheeks a little pink. Oh! Didn't see you, sweetie, good morning! And you really think so?
She slips into the closet to change.

"Yeah. You have a beautiful voice." Misaki sat on the bed and waited for Quinn.

I'm glad you think so. Quinn emerges from the closet a few minutes later in her normal clothes and smiles. You need to freshen up before we go get breakfast?

Misaki gave a tiny little nod.

Quinn chuckles slightly and offers the girl a hand up off the bed. Well then, you go take care of that and I'll meet you in the kitchen, how's that?

And she'll then start for the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

After getting properly ready, Misaki skips into the kitchen. "What's for breakfast?"

Pancakes, sausage, hash browns, grits and toast. Quinn gives Misaki a grin over her shoulder from her spot at the range, where the delicious scents of breakfast are already filling the air.

Misaki grinned and took a seat at the table. "So, what are we going to do today?"

Well, I was thinking maybe we could make use of the Training Room? Quinn starts flipping the pancakes out onto plates. You're old enough that I think you should start learning self-defense, at least. Especially around here.

Misaki's eyes widened a bit. "Really?" She swallowed a bit nervously.

Really. Smiling, Quinn carries the plates over to the table, returning a moment later with a pitcher of orange juice and two glasses. I'm sure you've noticed it can get a little...well, dangerous around here at times. I want to be sure you can take care of yourself if I happen to get knocked silly again. She giggles a little self-consiously as she takes a seat.

Misaki nodded with a serious that just came off as adorably precious on the face of a ten year old. "Okay! I'll do my best!"

Quinn grins and and reaches over to give Misaki's shoulder a squeeze. I know you will, sweetie. And I'll do my best to teach you, too.

The old man takes the fan. As he does, he flickers, and his expression grow a little more malevolent.

The old man heads off.

Well, she has no way of stopping that. Once in there, she yells and tries to break through it. Why did you send me here! I did nothing!

Falgorn looks at Alexis. "Alexis?"

Dani, wearing her usual ultra-skimpy swimsuit, smiles and waves back at Eladrin as she sinks into the pool, then blushes, looking up and seeming to blow a kiss to the air.

The air swirls almost cheerfully before settling beside Dani, a cold spot in the air.

Ella smiles and does... well, she does something. It's a kind of healer's blessing, mostly just positive energy. She sends it at Eladrin.

The energy seems to flow into him, then back out filling the air around him with positive energy/vibes. He responds with a smile a warm charming smile that should make her feel quite elated.

The old man fades out, leaving a skeleton in white armored robes, wearing a white crown, with a paper fan in one hand. He attempts to blast the front door open.

Eladrin runs to the front door having heard the noise. Sword drawn, however he is still unarmoured and otherwise unarmed.

He tries again to blast through the door, this time with a lighting bolt.
(The first time was with a fireball.)

The door takes some damage, but still holds.

A drone appears behind the man.

Warning: Cease this attack at once!

It aims a stun beam at the man.

DC now has an ion cannon pointed at the door. In case the guy outside gets in, of course.

"Foolish pawn, The White King can not be stunned."

The skeleton turns, and blasts at the drone with a fireball.

It gets fireballed and clunks to the ground.

The White King turns, and looks at the door.

"Metor Swarm."

The spell blasts at the door, one ball of fire after another.

The door starts to give way... allowing DC's next action....

Eladrin, starts to sing a song that will permeate the air near him with positive energy healing people who can hear it and damaging undead.

As the door collapses, DC fires the ion cannon out the doorway.

The White King is blasted back.

"What fools stand between The White King and his victim? A bishop, with a troublesome song, and I'm not sure about the other, but the bishop will fall."

The White King fires a lighting bolt at Eladrin.

The lightning bolt crackles over his skin, Seemingly doing nothing. Angels are immune to Electricity. He continues to sing louder the positive energy intensifying.

DC lowers the cannon and draws a rather bulky-looking high-tech pistol.

And opens fire on the White King with it. Oddly enough, it fires bullets. These particular bullets are wreathed in energy, however, which might help explain the gun's bulk.

Yay mixing of energy/projectile weapons.

The bullets hit the White King, some boncing off the robes, others hitting and doing damage.

"Urgh. Almost certainly a rook. Well, I do have the means to silence you, bishop. Banishment."

[Darkcomet]

Both the ion cannon and the gun float out of DC's hands into the air above him, and the cannon fires at the White King once again.

The gun's being reloaded.

Banishment success.. Eladrin is sent back to the plane of eternal music. His song however releases in an explosion of positive energy

Another drone teleports in, but instead of attacking, it projects an image onto the floor beneath the White King. An image of the chessboard.

Observation: The King can only move one square at a time, and may not move into check.
Further Observation: And it is not your move.

The White King is badly damaged.

"Definately a rook. Well, I know when its time to leave."

A bright flash of light appears in front of DC, hopefully blinding him for a litte while. The White King summons a water elemental in the fountain.

DC is blinded.

Luckily, he cheats. Stupid clairvoyance.

The gun opens fire on the summoned water elemental, while DC raises a hand toward the White King, launching a telekinetic blast at him.

The water elemental is disrupted, and the White King is thrown back.

"You can not capture the White King!"

The White King creates a wall of iron between him and DC, then starts to walk away from GLoG, one chess square at a time.

The drone just stares dumbfounded.

Surprised babbling: I really didn't think that would work.
Confused musing: Perhaps if I...

The black side of the chessboard fills with pieces, projected by the drone.

..oh, wait.

DC floats over the wall, the gun going back where it came from, while the ion cannon floats with him and fires at the White King.

"Agh! That's one rook too many, and I don't have all my pieces yet. That's cheating! Stun!"

The last word is a spell, aimed at DC. He still tries to get away from GLoG.

DC is stunned and falls back over the wall.

...that must hurt.

The cannon falls too, and DC's lucky it doesn't land on him.

Alarmed observation: Someone is wounded!

The drone goes flying over the wall, causing the projected chessboard to disappear, and takes Darkcomet to the infirmary. (permission obtained in chat)

"Time to go. Expeditious Retreat!"

The White King runs away.

Med drones report that DC is suffering from a concussion, but he'll be fine.

Once he wakes up, anyway.

Quinn chuckles softly, then nods. It's a good start, we'll have to work on that. She steps over to the wall, and retrieves a pair of soft traning batons, handing one to Misaki. This is kinda like a game - you try to touch me with your baton, while I use mine to block it. Clock is 15 minutes, if you touch me, you win, if I don't get touched, I win. Ready?
She twirls her baton and, grinning, takes a pose.

Misaki held her baton a bit clumsily and nodded. When Quinn indicated go, Misaki would lunge forward and try to tag Quinn with the baton.

Dani rests quietly in the pool, seeming at the moment to have released all her cares and to be relaxing and content.



Quinn parries Misaki's first lunge easily, gently deflecting the blow before stepping back. The first thing you need to remember is to use the size of your opponent against them. You're smaller than I am - that's an advantage you have.

Misaki frowned as she recovered. "How is being small an advantage?" She tries again with the same methodology.

And once again, Quinn parries easily.
Because you can slip past me, under me, being smaller means you're more maneuverable than I am. You're faster.

Misaki kinda wanted to whine "no, it doesn't!" but she wasn't one for whining. Instead, she tried it again.

This time, she hits Quinn!
Second lesson, don't keep trying the same tactic over and over. Quinn grins and goes to gently bop her on the head with her own baton.



Dani, relaxing in the pool, opens her eyes, then looks over in the direction of her companion spirit.

DC wakes up in the infirmary, then heads to the bulletin board to put up a new notice.

Quinn steps forwards and drops down to wrap her arms around Misaki and hug her tight. Nobody is at first. I managed to blow a hole in the ceiling when I first started exploring my abilities. She smiles reassuringly. That's why you need to practice and learn. Before you know it you'll be bowling me over on your first strike!



Dani smiles softly and reaches out to try and brush back. I'm glad you're here. I wish you were alive but...I'm glad to know you're...not trapped or anything... She sniffles just a little.
