Or some other unholy undead thing!

Here's the proof! (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0224.html)
In the 5th panel Roy is clearly missing his arm, the only logical conclusion is that Elan ripped it off when he fell down from the cart.
And just two panels later it either grew back completely or he was able to reattach it.

And we all know that only zombies and such have limbs that can be ripped of easily and get reattached.

THIS.CHANGES.EVERYTHING

but then, how was he unaffected by the turn undead in this strip: http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0016.html

Good catch, but it was fixed in No Cure for the Paladin Blues.

No, there's some other living race that can reattach its limbs by holding them in place for a moment. I forget what they are, though.

Or Durkon just healed him off-panel. He does that a lot; usually with CMW and company, but there's no reason why he wouldn't cast Regenerate off-panel as well. If the Giant considered it unimportant that Roy has briefly had his arm ripped off.

After all, the casting time is only... three... rounds... Hmm. Something doesn't add up here  Maybe Roy is a zombie after all.

Still, Resurrection should cure that. If Roy looks different after ressurecting to the way he did before dying, we'll know something's amiss.
If not, just sue Adobe Illustrator :amused:

Troll is far more likely than zombie, in my opinion.

Wow, you're impressed by improper use of terms? That's pretty damn 56k.

Actually, wouldn't Roy being a Tarrasque be far more logical?

EXTRA EXTRA: Roy Greenhilt is father of MitD

(Begin "House" mode)
It's NEVER the Tarrasque!

well, Haley is also a zombie! the whole group might be undead!

in the last panel here (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0001.html), her hand fell of,
and here (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0011.html), she tried to use an extra arm which has to be a leftover from one of her victims

Why is it so hard to see that Roy is clearly scratching his backside in that scene? You try wearing the same armour for six months non-stop, see if it doesn't chafe a bit.

As for Haley - meh, I wouldn't trust anything I thought I could see of a rogue's hands at the best of times. She's probably practising. Gotta keep your skillz sharp, y'know?

No, this is somply evidence that:

a) Haley steals everything.
or
b) Haley possesses some absurdly esoteric template that prevents her from having enough skill ranks to lock an amazing lock at around 11th level. (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0262.html)

Or he just leaned backwards to avoid being hit as Elan fell.

You think losing an arm is weird? Belkar droped his face!

That can mean only one thing...:smalleek:

You can see Belkar's mouth. He's looking away.

Whereas Roy is a zombie.

Actually he was trying to do a spot check on... Haley's goods.

Sadly yet predictably he failed it.
