That's just to prove that the succumbus that the yellow talks about is in fact Sabine. They are indeed connected; that's really the only reason they're there in the first strip.

I just noticed that she said "plane shift power" - i.e. it's a SLA, not a spell, proving my theory that the portal-ish plane shift is a SLA that fiends are houseruled to have (and maybe it only goes to their between prime material and their home plane / any of the lower planes), not the spell

it just proves that the fiends are diverse... they have more than one plan to gain power. or, they contacted V because sabine told them.
