First, I'll note that this thread will require aid in finishing. It is here that the truth may be known to all. Those who would delude themselves with worshiping Rex or other such inferior beings are not welcome here. Due to my general lack of skill at homebrew, I would request assistance in the stating of vestiges, selection/creation of domains, and stating of avatars (and in Snuggles' case, avatars of his avatars). Corrections on content are welcome, but those that have been tricked into believing Cat and Good cat will be ignored (except in corrections concerning the false belief of said entities).

Now then. After studying this (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=93068) thread and the truths it holds. I have been able to ascertain these facts of the origin of the Cat Pantheon. If you note errors, feel free to inform me and I will decide if you are worth listening to.

THE ORIGIN OF THE CAT PANTHEON
In the beginning there was Snuggles. However, Snuggles was bored with the nothing, so he created existence to hunt in and the gods to be his prey.
But the gods feared Snuggles and so they fled creating planes to hide in and creatures to populate them in hopes of distracting the Dark Lord Snuggles. Some went so far as to create creatures in Snuggles' own image in hopes of currying favor with him.
For a time, all this pleased Snuggles, but soon he again began to grow bored. For Snuggles enjoys playing with his food, and all knew that if they had become his prey it was useless to resist. As such Snuggles decided to take on eight guises, which were known as Cuddles, Leoparddles, Bengal Tigger, Lionddles, Wuggles, Couggles, Siberian Tigger, and Pantheggles. Each represented a different alignment from his own natural Chaotic Evil and allowed him to better play with his prey, giving them false hope and able to take it away at any time if ever he got tired of playing with them. Upon taking up these guises, Snuggles decided on a whim to commemorate the event by granting cats, which one of the long killed gods had made in his image, eight extra lives.
Soon after many came to worship the Cat Pantheon, though only cats knew of its true nature as guises of Snuggles. This worship however soon brought into being a tenth guise of Snuggles, for like all cats, when given much catnip Snuggleswould forget himself and become frisky. When in such a state he would forget such things as good and evil and become Primordial Elder Cat, destroying and creating planes on a whim with no rhyme or reason.
And so all guises of Snuggles gained worshipers and the Cat Pantheon was created. Only cats knowing its true form which they hide from most others. Worshiping whichever guise suits them knowing it matters not for all worship will got to Dark Lord Snuggles.

Information on the Cat Pantheon
Note: All Cat Gods can give themselves (or remove from themselves) the titanic template at will.

Snuggles doesn't need to see, Snuggles can smell your fear, and hear your screams for pain after the greater missile storm lands. Assuming you live. You won't live. But, Snuggles is not without mercy. Snuggles wears a collar of True Resurrection. Snuggles is also not without a sick sense of sadism. He raises you, only to kill you again. Snuggles is adorable, lethally so, all who sees Snuggles' normal form must must succeed on a will save or have their body reduced to pink fluff. Snuggles doesn't sleep, he waits. Dark lord snuggles dines only on Epic Salmon canned in infernal bronze, the only can opener worthy of his attention is a holy avenger, which he uses as a toothpick after dining first on your charred corpse, and then on the salmon at his leisure. Those who disturb his catnaps shall suffer DISINTEGRATION! But not before being toyed with. Snuggles is Master of the Schrödinger Domain, allowing him to be simultaneously fractured and whole, dead and alive, all powerful.
As far as snuggles is concerned, there are only 2 types of people:
1) those of us blessed with the knowledge that he will be our death
2) those who are in for a bit of a surprise
Snuggles enjoys playing with his food, so much so that he gathers worshipers to his other aspects for greater entertainment when he inevitably turns upon them.
(May need Correction)

His left eye is the Cateye of Deception and casts all illusions other than those from the shadow subschool at will as spell-like abilities and his right eye is the Cateye of Change and casts all transmutation spells at will as spell-like abilities. He has a breath-weapon that does a random type of energy damage. He also has the ability to smell weariness. Couggles is an energetic playful, attention-seeker that demands all to realize how cute and cool he is. He also likes being fed tuna, his favorite food. Couggles is a rather unreliable individual whom switches allegiance at his own convenience usually to fight someone whom happens to be irritating him at the time. He also finds stupidity annoying.

Primordial Elder Cat
Symbol: Tangled yarn of various colours
Alignment: Chaotic Chaos

He appears as a spotted cat whose right eye casts Sublime revelry and whose left eye casts righteous glare at will as spell-like abilities. His message is to experience and enjoy life and to try to understand new ways of doing so whilst helping those who cannot enjoy life and casting out those whose enjoyment comes at the expense of others. Any individual whom he breathes on is subject to a greater vigor spell. He enjoys lying in sun-beams and eats different tasty treats every day. He can smell misery and seeks to eliminate its source.

Bengal Tigger
Symbol: A licked kitten (Needs image)
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Gender: Female
Portfolio: Protection, mothering, kindness, love (mostly but not only of the platonic kind), generosity, affection, comfort
Worshipers: Paladins of Freedom, seekers of guidance and protection, lovers of affection, lovers of peace and tranquility, idealists, desirers of harmony between all beings, bakers
Cleric Alignments: Any Good
Domains: Good, Cat, Protection, Animal, and Pie
Favored Weapon: Net (She creates her's from hairballs)
Titles: Good Cat, Mother Cat unto Snuggles, Good Cat Mistress
Description: Bengal Tigger whom is most often refereed to by her title "Good Cat" appears as a tortoiseshell house cat except when she is in titanic form whereupon she is orange with black stripes. Due to her mastery of puns in any language, her tortoiseshell fur also acts as natural armor. She radiates an aura of calm emotions and anyone who looks at her left eye is affected by a charm monster spell, realizing that she is a being of perfection and cuteness whom must not be harmed. Her right eye allows her to cast any abjuration spell or mage amour on a target she looks at even if the target of the spell is normally self or the range touch. She can do this at will as a spell-like ability. Although she wears the Collar of True Resurrection common to all Cat Gods, like her brother Couggles, she doesn't really like the conformity of uniforms and thus uses prestidigitation to alter its appearance multiple times a day. As mistress of the Pie domain she has ultimate control of Pie and its delicious goodness. She can create and destroy pies at will and can deny an individual (even Cat Gods) the ability to make pies by any means and can fill the efforts of the most inept baker with wholesome flavor or ruin pies baked by the greatest of professionals. Her desire for peace and harmony often put her at odds with Snuggles and they bicker more than any other pair of Cat Gods. She often denies Snuggles pie as a method of voicing her disapproval. She is often refereed to as the mother of the pantheon. This is not literal motherhood (all Cat Gods are siblings (actually guises of Snuggles, but few know that)) yet she takes the role of the mother as nurturer, voicer of disapproval and appeaser of Cuddles' strictness.

Lionddles
Symbol: Black mane with crown above it.
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Gender: Male
Portfolio: Authority, order, pride (both meanings), law, heirarchy, the superiority of cats over other species.
Worshipers: Worshipers: Judges, rulers, lawful organisations, all who wish to emulate the pride.
Cleric Alignments: Lawful individuals whom have completed the necessary forms and bureaucratic procedures.

Favored Weapon: Quarterstaff (His cold iron staff of ruler ship with which he shall crush rebels)
Titles: His Awesomeness, Lord of the Pride, His Mightiness, Grand High Ruler of All He Sees, The Maned One, etc.
Description: Lionddles appears as an axiomatic brown cat with a mane of black hair that does not contain a single strand out of place. He goes everywhere with at least a pair of servants who fan him and carry his crown and staff. He has placed diamond studs around his collar of True Resurrection. He is an arrogant individual whom expects all to conform to his wishes. However, he is a fair lord, wishing for all to have a place in the kingdom of cats. His right eye is the Cateye of Ruler ship and casts all enchantment spells at will as spell-like abilities and his left eye is the Cateye of Control which casts a version of telekinesis with no cap at 120th level as a spell-like ability at will. He can also roar which does sonic damage and causes fear and deafness.

Wuggles
Symbol: A cat clawing at a tree
Alignment: True Neutral
Gender: Female
Portfolio: Tolerance, acceptance, nature, understanding, trying new things, being true to ones nature, multiple viewpoints

Titles: The Truest of Cats, Queen of Cat Dominion, Mistress of Felinekind
Description: Wuggles appears as a brown cat with a green left eye that casts baleful polymorph at will as a spell-like ability and a yellow right eye that casts confusion at will as a spell-like ability. She can smell stubbornness and can breath sleep-gas. She teaches that all must be true to their nature and to never dismiss another. In fact, she encourages others to try to experience life the way others do in order to fully realize what ones true nature is. She also teaches that all have a purpose in their true nature and as such, none must try to change another. She hunts when she feels like it and eats whatever she catches for that is the way that was meant to be.

Siberian Tigger
Symbol: Cat tail dripping blood
Alignment: Lawful Evil
Gender: Female
Portfolio: Slavery, tyranny, the working of the lessor races to death to glorify cats as superior beings
Worshipers: Slavers, evil employers, fascist governments, narcissists
Cleric Alignments: Lawful Evil, Neutral Evil and a small minority of Lawful Neutral
Domains: Animal, Cat, Cold, Death, Destruction, Domination, Evil, Fire, Hatred, Law, Tyrant, Weather
Favored Weapon: Her tail (which is considered an unholy axiomatic vicious whip)
Titles: Queen of the Slavers, Mistress of Tyranny, Grand High Duchess of Cat Superiority
Description: Siberian Tigger normally appears as a skinny siamese cat. She can smell pity. However, in titanic form she is muscular and orange with black stripes. Her right eye can cast geas as a spell-like ability at will and her left eye can cast wrack as a spell-like ability at will. Her eyes are yellow and flash when she uses their power. Her unusually long and thin tail is used to whip her many slaves into submission and she breathes hellfire. Siberian Tigger is very vain forcing slaves to do all her work and build monuments in her image or to her glory. She believes that all other cats should follow her example in this. She has absolute control of the temperature in her surroundings and her footprints either freeze or catch fire. When in a bad mood, she turns the surroundings into a barren desert of nothing but sand or a frozen wasteland. She also spends a lot of time polymorphed into lesser species to search for new slaves.

Pantheggles
Symbol: A cat's shadow with red glowing eyes
Alignment: Neutral Evil
Gender: Female
Portfolio: Nekocatsy, magic, pain, fear, undead, rodents, plagues, disease, filth, despair, negative energy
Worshipers: Undead, nihilists, sadists, masochists, those whom consider their lifetime to be to short to serve cats
Cleric Alignments: Any Evil
Domains: Animal, Cat, Death, Destruction, Evil, Magic, Pestilence
Favored Weapon: Bite (her teeth count as unholy and poisoned)
Titles: The Dark Queen, Mistress of Nekocatsy, The Plague Bearer, Bringer of Fleas, Harbinger of Ticks, Lady of the Undead Rodent Army, Mistress of Despair, Queen of Negative Energy, Black Death
Description: Pantheggles appears as a black cat with red eyes. Her left eye act as a symbol of pain and her right eye as a symbol of fear. The area around her is considered unhallowed and negative-dominant. Her breath does negative-energy damage and her fur releases disease and parasites. No healing magic works near her and all near her risk disease even if she does not wish to fight. She is considered incorporeal when it suits her. She likes to hunt, kill her prey, take a couple of bites out of it and create undead from the remains. She is the creator of undead, the first of which were rodents (most of hers still are). As such, she is considered the Mistress of Nekocatsy. Of course the schools name has been altered by the humanoids. They replaced "cat" with "man", added an "r" and changed the spelling and pronunciation. She can smell joy and loves to spread misery, disease and death.

Cat
Symbol: A cat's face with glowing yellow eyes
Alignment: All
Gender: Any it desires to be
Portfolio: Everything that cats have dominion over. ie. everything
Worshipers: Those who don't realize its really just Snuggles when he isn't pretending to also be all the rest of the cat pantheon. Also all who've realized the superiority of cat kind.
Cleric Alignments: Any
Domains: All offered by any Cat God
Favored Weapon: Kick
Titles: There is only CAT and that is all that will do CAT justice.
Description: CAT appears as a black and white cat with yellow, glowing eyes. CAT has all the combined added and synergised powers of the entire cat pantheon. CAT has all alignments and is always treated as the alignment most convenient to CAT. Pronouns are never used when referring to CAT as they do not allow CAT'S awesomeness to be expressed. CAT is not likely to be encountered as CAT usually spends CAT'S time spit up into the cat pantheon. Little else is known or understood about CAT as the times that CAT has displayed CATSELF to humanity are rare and leave few witnesses.

The Book of Jaw chapter 16

"Those who turn their back on the light of Good Cat shall see only the darkness of Snuggles"
The Letter to the People of She Purrs 12:19

In the beginning was the Primordial. And the Primordial was with Cat. And the Primordial was Cat. And so it came to pass that, upon looking out at the Nothing and Emptyness and Void surrounding it, Cat was filled with a great Emptyness, and so strove to fill the Emptyness with it's Unknowable Feline. From Cat's Unknowable Feline, nine aspects were forged, one from each part of Cat's Unknowable ethics. From each aspect there arose a great yowel, and from the yowel all things that were, are, and shall ever come to be were made.

From the Litter, there were two in Opposition, and they were called Snuggles, for it was Great and Unknowable in it's devouring rage, and Good Cat, for it was Great and Unknowable in it's compassionate mercy. Seven more sprang forth from Cat's Unknowable Feline, and they were called Cuddles, Leoparddles, Lionddles, Wuggles,Couggles, Siberian Tigger and Pantheggles, for they were Great and Unknowable in their varied powers.

And so it came to pass that the first of Men, those insignificant and knowable simians, to Understand the Unknowable Cat came to Understand Snuggles...
My First Book Of Cats, Chapter 1

Snuggles, in its Great and Unknowable devouring rage, fell upon its peers, and unto Cat didst yowl "Alone of Cat's Great and Unknowable aspects do I rule! My Dominion is Terrible, and with none of the Litter will I share power! Mine was the First Believer, and Mine shall be all Believers, that I might Toy with their everlasting souls in unending torment!"

In hearing the yowl of Snuggles, in its Great and Unknowable devouring rage, Good Cat didst yowl "Away from me, Snuggles! Yea, be Gone from within my sight! Your Dominion is not Terrible, For with the whole of the Litter must you share, or from you Cat, in its Unknowable Feline, will withold the Sweetmeats of Power and the Pie of Dominion!"

Upon hearing the yowls of Snuggles, in its Great and Unknowable devouring rage, and Good Cat, in its Great and Unknowable compassionate mercy, both in opposition to the other, Cat, the Unknowable Feline, with the Eternal Primordial, did cast away Snuggles and Good Cat, in their Great and Unknowable opposition, yowling "From my Great and Unknowable Feline wast thou made, and so thou makest war, one against the other! So I shall cast thee from my teat, nevermore to speak nor smell nor hear of thee, until once more you are made one with Cat and the Eternal Primordial."

Having seen the treatment of their Litter's Greatest and Most Unknowable, the further seven didst remark amongst themselves, "Surely it is with the Litter that the Litter should ally, not with Cat in its Unknowable Feline and the Eternal Primordial?" And so it came to pass that the Litter did leave Cat, only to be united with the others Away from Cat. Upon uniting, however, Snuggles, in its Great and Unknowable devouring rage, once again fell upon its peers, but didst yowl not. The Litter, seeing Snuggles' Great and Unknowable devouring rage, united against it, and didst cast Snuggles away from their Feline persons.

Once this accomplishment became known to Cat and the Eternal Primordial, Cat, the Unknowable Feline, didst decree "As my Litter cannot be united without making war, one against the other, it shall come to pass that never again will an aspect of Cat be together with another. In such a way will I protect all that is, was, and evermore shall be!"

And so Cat, the Unknowable Feline, did protect all of its Creation. So ends the First Lesson.

Bless Pie: (pies only) creates a holy pie which acts like holy water (i.e. a direct hit by a holy pie deals 2d4 points of damage to an undead creature or an evil outsider) and those creatures have a -1 morale penalty to attack on the following round.
Create Food and Water (Desserts and tea or coffee only)
Spiritual Pie: a pie made of pure force springs into action, and acts on its own dealing 1d2 points of bludgeoning damage when it hits. Creatures hit with a pie attack at the next round with a -1 morale penalty for looking silly.
Locate Pie: You can sense the direction of a pie like locate object.
Animate Pie: You imbue inanimate pies with mobility and a semblance of life. Each animated pie then immediately attacks whomever or whatever you initially designate as though it were an animated object of the appropriate size category.
Hero’s Feast (Desserts Only).
Symbol of Pie: the mystical rune causes all creatures of 10 HD or less within 60 feet of the symbol of pie to search for all the ingredients with which to bake a pie for 3d6x10 minutes.

Proposed Schrödinger's Domain:Schrödinger's Domain

Domain Granted Power

Granted power: You gain immunity to plant-based poisons but not to magical poisons.

Spells
1. Omen of Peril
2. Curse of Ill Fortune
3. Beast Claws
4. Death Ward
5. Life’s Grace
6. Revive Outsider
7. Renewal Pact

9. True Resurrection

Many of these spells can be found in the Spell Compendium.

More cat domains can be found here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76770&page=13) (near the bottom). You can also find a number of cat related classes here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76770). All of which is made by Bhu.

What is still needed:
Everything that is unknown
Images of the symbols
Vestiges for each member of the Cap Pantheon
Avatars of each member (and in Snuggles case avatars of his avatars as he is so powerful his avatars are equal to gods themselves)
Likely a cat domain
Other stuff as needed.

Schrödinger's Cat (by Debihuman)

A Schrödinger's cat is spontaneously created when a wizard’s cat dies from being poisoned with cyanide. The same cyanide that caused its death now flows through its saliva.

During the day, a Schrödinger's cat appears as a normal living cat. Not even a true seeing spell will reveal its undead nature. A detect aura spell reveals it as a normal neutral cat. More importantly, a Schrödinger's cat is unaffected by a cleric’s turn or rebuke undead ability during the day.

Only at night does the Schrödinger's cat reveal its neutral evil alignment and undead status. As soon as the sun sets, the Schrödinger's cat undergoes a frightful transformation, becoming unnaturally thin with decaying flesh and missing tufts of fur. It will attack anyone other than its master.

Even in undeath, Schrödinger's cats are loyal to their masters, regardless of alignment, and will not harm them unless forced by magical or supernatural means.

Combat

Schrödinger's cats prefer to sneak up on their prey. They rely on their poisonous bite to kill prey and defend themselves.

Poison (Ex): Schrödinger's cats have a poisonous bite. Initial damage is 1d6 points of hit point loss; secondary damage of 1d6 Con. A successful save halves the damage (DC is 13 and includes a +2 racial bonus). The save is constitution-based.

Skills: Schrödinger's cats have a +4 racial bonus on Climb, Hide, and Move Silently checks and a +8 racial bonus on Jump checks. Schrödinger's cats have a +8 racial bonus on Balance checks. They use their Dexterity modifier instead of their Strength modifier for Climb and Jump checks. *In areas of tall grass or heavy undergrowth, the Hide bonus rises to +8.

A few suggestions.

Replace true strike with feather fall. It's more cat-like.
Replace Keen Edge with Dominate Animal. What cat isn't in control?
Replace Heal/Harm with Animal Shapes (Cats). Again, more fitting.

Owrtho

Possibly, but that spell is a higher level, and I'm not comfortable handing it out at level 3. Maybe drop Repel Vermin to level 3 and add Dominate Person at level 4.

In that case, I'd prefer to see Shapechange dropped for Dominate Monster. I can't see turning into a dragon that just looks like a cat (but still breathes fire and so forth), but I can see a cat cleric cuddling up next to it's giant demon/dragon/angel thrall. And it's an adorable image.

You Snugglites really cannot accept the truth can you? Oh well, I shall asist you in the truth even if you merely add it as "false beliefs that the deluded have been tricked into via Snuggle's genius".

First of all, you are confusing Bengal Tigger and her brother Cuddles. You've given Cuddles her titles (with the exception of Ceiling Cat and the angelic cat of virtue) and gender. Not that She'd mind much seeing as She is a kind, generous and loving deity whom gets along very well with her good brothers, but as one of her prophets mentioned and quoted earlier I should correct you. Also it should be noted that She has the Good, Protection, Animal and Pie domains.

You have also left out the colours of the other CatGods. They are the same as their morally identical sibling's colour.

It should also be remembered that the entire pantheon is reffered to as CAT which acts as a single all powerful individual.

Bengal Tigger, Wuggles, Pantheggles and Siberian Tigger are female.

The Holy Symbols of Cuddles and Bengal Tigger are the Cateye of Truth and a licked Kitten respectively.

The favoured weapon of Cuddles is the Claw of Justice.

I need to go home now. I'll tell you more tomorrow.

The only actual disguise of Snuggles is the so called LG Good Cat. Which has clouded the minds of the weak and ignorant quite well. Others are just ramblings of diseased minds, even more so than the Good Cat. Therefore, they're mostly inconsequential.

I added the correct information noted. The Claws of Justice as a favored weapon seems odd though (seeing as it sounds like a specific weapon rather than a type that followers might gain proficiency in). Also the theory of Cat is mentioned in the texts. In truth though it is just Snuggles when his attention is undivided by pretending to be other cat deities.

Also, it seems that we now need pie, Schrödinger, and entire domain of good trapped inside a small jingly ball domains. The last would likely just be the same a the good domain, but make jingly noises when you cast the spells. The others though may require more work.

Cat Domain

Deities: Bast, Felix, Garfield, Morris, Schrodinger.

Granted Power: Cats are inordinately lucky. You gain the power of good fortune, which is usable once per day. This extraordinary ability allows you to reroll any one roll that you have just made. You must accept the result of the reroll, even if it's worse than the original roll.

Cat Domain Spells
1 Cat's grace
2 Allergic reaction (see below)
3 See invisibility
4 Repel vermin
5 Commune with nature
6 Cat gravity (see below)
7 Hairball (a.k.a. repulsion)
8 Mind blank
9 Foresight

Allergic Reaction
Necromancy
Level: Cat 2
Components: S, M
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target: One living creature
Duration: 1 round
Saving Throw: Fortitude negates (see text)
Spell Resistance: Yes

Coughing and sneezing caused by a severe allergic reaction to your presence leaves the target dazed for the duration of the spell. The dazed subject is not stunned (so attackers receive no special advantage against that creature), but it can't move, cast spells, use mental abilities, or take any other actions.

Any bonuses or penalties the target has on saving throws against poison also apply to the saving throw to negate the effect of this spell.

Material Component: A flake of cat dander.

Cat Gravity
Enchantment (Compulsion) [Mind-Affecting]
Level: Cat 6
Components: S
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: Personal
Target: You
Duration: 1 round/level (D)
Saving Throw: Will negates
Spell Resistance: Yes

You surround yourself with a sphere of power that has a radius of 5 feet per caster level. Each creature within this area must make a successful Will save or be affected as if by a slow spell.

[Editorial Note: We suggest you visit the artist Robin Wood's website for the complete story on cat gravity, as she is the originator of the Theory of Cat Gravity and foremost expert on the topic.]

Thats good to know. I'll put that in the first post (with a correction to what gods have it). Still need pie and Schrödinger domains though.

Also, might be a good idea to stat out a cat race to go along with this. As in a (preferably LA+0) race for playing normal intelligent cats (as opposed to supernatural ones). May or may not speak common naturally. Most likely cant use items or somatic components without some special ability or magic.

I give you the first few spells of the Pie domain. (unsure about the higher level ones)

Goodberry 1
Delay Poison 2
Create Food and Water 3
Neutralize Poison 4
Fabricate 5
Hero’s Feast 6
Fire Seeds 7

Oh, and remember that many deities have the name of their weapon listed under favoured wepon. The claw of Justice is naturally a claw.

Also you should note that all CatGods can give themselves the titanic template and take it away at will and each one can smell a different emotion (one that they consider themselves to be above.)

I shall now give the description (to the same detail as Snuggles for Cuddles more to come later.

Cuddles apears to be a white housecat with blue eyes. his right eye is the Cateye of Truth and casts all divination spells of 9th level and lower as spell-like abilities at will and his left-eye casts hold-monster at will, his voice is the voice of infinate authaurity and anything he commands acts as a suggestion spell, he also wears the colour of True Resurrection theat is a badge of office for being a CatGod. Cuddles can smell Greed. Cuddles doesn't need to hunt or be fed. Anything that he wishes to eat automatically fills his bowl.

Ok, I'll finish off Cuddles, then I'll start on Bengal Tigger.
Cuddles
Portfolio: The rule of cats and their guidance for lesser species. Wisdom and truth. The purging of all that is evil and indecent (especially among non-cats).
Worshipers: Paladins of catkind, Rulers who listen to cats, fair judges, all who wish to serve catkind as superior benevolent beings.
Cleric Alignments: Good, especially Lawful Good, a small minority of Lawful Neutral zealots
Domains: Animal, Cat, Community, Glory, Good, Inquisition, Knowledge, Purification, Wrath

Bengal Tigger

Portfolio: Protection, mothering, kindness, love (mostly but not only of the platonic kind), generosity, affection, comfort
Worshipers: Paladins of Freedom, seekers of guidance and protection, lovers of affection, lovers of peace and tranquility, idealists, desirers of harmony between all beings, bakers
Cleric Alignments: Any Good
Domains: Good, Cat, Protection, Animal, and Pie
Favored Weapon: Net (She creates her's from hairballs
Titles: Good Cat, Mother Cat unto Snuggles, Good Cat Mistress
Description: Bengal Tigger whom is most often reffered to by her title "Good Cat" appears as a tortoiseshell housecat except when she is in titanic form whereapon she is orange with black stripes. Due to her mstery of puns in any language, her tortoiseshell fur also acts as natural armour. She radiates an aura of calm emotions and anyone who looks at her left eye is affected by a charm monster spell, realising that she is a being of perfection and cuteness whom must not be harmed. Her right eye allows her to cast any abjuration spell or mage armour on a target she looks at even if the target of the spell is normally self or the range touch. She can do this at will as a spell-like ability. Although she wears the Collar of True Resurrection common to all CatGods, like her brother Couggles, she doesn't really like the conformity of uniforms and thus uses prestidigitaion to alter its appearance muliple times a day. As mistress of the Pie domain she has ultimate control of Pie and its delecious goodness. She cn create and destroy pies at will and can deny an individual (even CatGods) the ability to make pies by any means and can fill the efforts of the most inept baker with wholesome flavour or ruin pies baked by the greatest of proffesionals. Her desire for peace and harmony often put her at odds with Snuggles and they bicker more than any other pair of CatGods. She often denies Snuggles pie as a method of voicing her disapproval. She is often reffered to as the mother of the pantheon. Theis is not literal motherhood (all CatGods are siblings) yet she takes the role of the mother as nurturer, voicer of disapproval and appeaser of Cuddles' strictness.

More to come later.

I updated the first post.

I decided to try making a house cat race. Not sure how good it is, but here is what I have.

Cat
Information: It's a house cat, you should be able to figure out what they are (especially if your using the content of this thread)

Cats have the following racial traits:
-6 Str, +6 Dex, -2 Wis, +2 Cha. Cats have good dexterity, however their small size causes them to be rather weak. They tend to be curious which can get them into trouble. However they have a way of getting people to do what they want due to being so cute.
Tiny size. As tiny creatures cats have a +2 modifier to AC and attack and a -8 to grapple against medium creatures. They also gain a +8 bonus to hide checks. They also only take up 3/2 feet and have 0 reach.
Cats are Magical Beasts. As such they have lowlight vision, are proficient with their natural weapons, and need to eat, sleep, and breathe. They do not however have darkvision as most magical beasts do.
Speed 30ft
Lowlight vision. As magical beasts cats have this.
Cats have scent.
Cats have a +4 racial bonus on Climb, Hide, and Move Silently checks, and a +8 racial bonus on Jump and Balance checks. Cats use their Dexterity modifier instead of their Strength modifier for Climb and Jump checks.
*In areas of tall grass their racial Hide modifier increases to +8.
Handle Humanoid (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/fools/20030401c) always counts as a class skill.
Cats gain Stealthy and Weapon Finesse as bonus feats.
Cats have a Primary Claw attack doing 1d2 plus Strength Bonus, and a Secondary Bite attack doing 1d3 plus half Strength Bonus. If you make a Full Attack you get 2 Claw attacks and a Bite.
Lacking hands, cats cannot use the Craft, Disable Device, Disguise, Forgery, Open Lock, and Use Rope skills. They also may not use weapons or armor that has not been designed for their use (Such equipment costs 5 gold more than normal). Cats also may not use spells that require somatic components unless using a feat or ability that makes it not required or allow them to do so.
Cats cannot use spells requiring verbal components unless using a feat or ability that makes it not required or allows them to do so.
Languages: Cat
Bonus Languages: Any, however cats cannot speak them without the use of a spell or ability.
Favored Class: Any

Silly peoples! That link I posted has been there for YEARS! As to the cat people, why not use the anthropomorphic template from Savage Species?

The typical cat (or housecat) is in the SRD, why bother making up new stats for it. Here are that official cat stats:

Cat
Size/Type: Tiny Animal
Hit Dice: ½ d8 (2 hp)
Initiative: +2
Speed: 30 ft. (6 squares)
Armor Class: 14 (+2 size, +2 Dex), touch 14, flat-footed 12
Base Attack/Grapple: +0/-12
Attack: Claw +4 melee (1d2-4)
Full Attack: 2 claws +4 melee (1d2-4) and bite -1 melee (1d3-4)
Space/Reach: 2½ ft./0 ft.
Special Attacks: —
Special Qualities: Low-light vision, scent
Saves: Fort +2, Ref +4, Will +1
Abilities: Str 3, Dex 15, Con 10, Int 2, Wis 12, Cha 7
Skills: Balance +10, Climb +6, Hide +16*, Jump +10,
Listen +3, Move Silently +8, Spot +3
Feats: Stealthy, Weapon FinesseB
Environment: Temperate plains
Organization: Domesticated or solitary
Challenge Rating: ¼
Advancement: —
Level Adjustment: —
The statistics presented here describe a common housecat.

Combat
Cats prefer to sneak up on their prey.

Skills
Cats have a +4 racial bonus on Climb, Hide, and Move Silently checks and a +8 racial bonus on Jump checks. Cats have a +8 racial bonus on Balance checks. They use their Dexterity modifier instead of their Strength modifier for Climb and Jump checks. *In areas of tall grass or heavy undergrowth, the Hide bonus rises to +8.

Pie Domain

Purify Food and Drink: (Pies and Cakes only)
Bless Pie: (pies only) creates a holy pie which acts like holy water (i.e. a direct hit by a holy pie deals 2d4 points of damage to an undead creature or an evil outsider) and those creatures have a -1 morale penalty to attack on the following round.
Spiritual Pie: animated pie acts on its own and does 1d2 points of bludgeoning damage when it hits. Creatures hit with a pie attack at the next round with a -1 morale penalty for looking silly.
Locate Pie: You can sense the direction of a pie like locate object.

As to the cat people why no use the anthropomorphic template from Savage Species?

I'm not sure where your getting cat people from. Unless you misunderstood what I meant when i mentioned a cat race.

The typical cat (or house cat) is in the SRD, why bother making up new stats for it.

I didn't make up, nor suggest the need for new stats for the typical house cat. I did both for the typical house cat as a race. This is to allow people to play as a normal cat (not a cat person). I tried to base it off the Monster manual entry (which matches the SRD entry), with a few changes for being a player race. I made it magical beast instead of animal (so as to get rid of all the no int greater than 2, must be always neutral, etc.), but noted it does not get dark vision. I also made it have a bonus to Cha (cuz cats can get others to do stuff for them) and a penalty to Wis (due to such things as the saying curiosity killed the cat, but then again that might do with changing due to how willful cats are) despite that the MM entry had those backward. I think it balances fairly well as a LA+0 race due to the large Str penalty making it worse for melee classes, and the inability to cast spells with verbal or somatic components making it worse for the caster classes, and the inability to use certain key skill making it worse for rogues (no disable devise, open lock, etc.). I might be wrong though. Hence the reason I requested it be looked at.

As for Pie Domain (I'm not quite sure what that has to do with cats) but you could have:

Pie Domain

You cast spells with the food or drink descriptor at +1 caster level

Purify Food and Drink (Pies and Cakes only)
Bless Pie (pies only) creates a holy pie which acts like holy water (i.e. a direct hit by a holy pie deals 2d4 points of damage to an undead creature or an evil outsider) and those creatures have a -1 morale penalty to attack on the following round.

Locate Pie: You can sense the direction of a pie like locate object.
Symbol of Pi This mystical rune causes all creatures of 10 HD or less within 60 feet of the symbol of pi to calculate the mathematical formula for 3d6x10 minutes.

I am somewhat uncertain about the pie as well, but it seems to be the case that Good Cat has some kind of link with it. As for those spells, they seem like they could be good, but what levels are they for?

...I can't believe one comment of mine would spawn THIS.

Well, as for pie, we all know that pie is the awesomest, most delicious thing ever ever. So, if the good cat is an embodiment of all that is good, it would definitely be at least 72% pie. As for making things up as I go along. his is simply not true. I cannot however spend all my time educating you on the cat pantheon. I have work to do after all. I will however accept requests on which order you would like the CatGods to be revealed.

For now, I shall do Couggles.

Couggles
Symbol: A legal document that has been shredded by cat claws.
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Gender: Male
Portfolio: Energy, randomness, non-conformity, flightiness, mind changing, oppertunism, the tendancy of cats to ask you for something and then change their minds after you give it to them.
Worshipers: Anarchists, gamblers, rogues, anyone who refuses to plan ahead
Cleric Alignments: Any Chaotic or any that he decided on a whim to accept as one of his representatives.
Domains: Animal, Cat, Celerity, Chaos, Liberation, Luck, Trickery
Favored Weapon: Bite (his teeth are anarchic)
Titles: The Eminence of Neutral Chaos, The One True Lord of Cats, The True Representative of Cathood, He Whom is Pure Feline Chaos, any other elaborate title that he decides to have that day.
Description: Couggles the master of feline chaos appears differently every time he is met. He hates the fact that as a member of the Cat pantheon he has to wear a collar of true resurection as his uniform and keeps moving it to a different part of his body. Couggles is an energetic playful, attention-seeker that demands all to realise how cute and cool he is. He also likes being fed tuna, his favourite food. Couggles is a rather unreliable individual whom switches allegiance at his own conveniance usually to fight someone whom happens to be irritating him at the time. He also finds stupidity annoying.

No, no no no no. It's yarn Throne. Singular, not plural. These are just false prophets before Snuggle's glory. There is no god but Snuggles, and he doesn't need a prophet, he's just that good. Or bad.
EDIT: by the way, nice pie domain.
Though I think it should be a bit more powerful, what with pie being the aforementioned awesome.

No, it's not balanced. Tiny races are a no-no. So is the massive stat adjustments, even with a net of +0. Even with the "no-hands" thing, that just pigeonholes it, so that it'll be really good for some classes and terrible for others. It isn't worthy of LA, though. In the end, not a PC race.

Not sure if i agree with that assessment. The biggest issue I've seen with tiny races is that while they would be somewhat balanced as far as melee classes are concerned (due to the lack of reach, and strength penalty), they are to powerful for casters. However the inability to use spells with verbal or somatic components mostly removes the advantage casters would have. As for the large stat adjustments, I went off what I thought was standard for if a medium race was shrunk to tiny size (as far as the Str and Dex are concerned). Also, the "no hands" doesn't seem to pigeonhole it. I can't think of any class that benefits from the no hands or is better off than the others when lacking hands (except maybe psyonics, but I'm not particularly familiar with them). After all, melee classes can't use weapons, casters can't use spells with somatic components, and skill monkeys can't use some of the more useful skills they have.

I think that a cat race could be balanced to play as. I just am not sure of some of the more specific balance.

All right, as there are no requests so far, I'll do Lionddles.

Lionddles
Symbol: Black mane with crown above it.
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Gender: Male
Portfolio: Authority, order, pride (both meanings), law, heirarchy, the superiority of cats over other species.
Worshipers: Judges, rulers, lawful organisations, all who wish to emulate the pride.
Cleric Alignments: Lawful individuals whom have completed the necessary forms and buerocratic procedures.
Domains: Animal, Cat, City, Community, Destiny, Domination, Fate, Law, Nobility, Oracle, Pact, Planning
Favored Weapon: Quaterstaff (His cold iron staff of rulership with which he shall crush rebels
He has placed diamond studs around his collar of True Ressurection. He is an arrogant individual whom expects all to conform to his wishes. However, he is a fair lord, wishing for all to have a place in the kingdom of cats. His right eye is the Cateye of Rulership and casts all enchantment spells at will as spell-like abilities and his left eye is the Cateye of Control which casts a version of telekinesis with no cap at 120th level as a spell-like ability at will. He can also roar which does sonic damage and causes fear and deafness.

EDIT: and as said earlier, thanks for the Pie domain.

As I still haven't received any requests I shall reveal to you the dread of the Dark Queen Pantheggles!

Pantheggles
Symbol: A cat's shadow with red glowing eyes
Alignment: Neutral Evil
Gender: Female
Portfolio: Nekocatsy, magic, pain, fear, undead, rodents, plagues, disease, filth, despair, negative energy
Worshipers: Undead, nihilists, sadists, masochists, those whom consider their lifetime to be to short to serve cats
Cleric Alignments: Any Evil
Domains: Animal, Cat, Death, Destruction, Evil, Magic, Pestilence
Favored Weapon: Bite (her teeth count as unholy and poisoned)
Titles: The Dark Queen, Mistress of Nekocatsy, The Plague Bearer, Bringer of Fleas, Harbringer of Ticks, Lady of the Undead Rodent Army, Mistress of Despair, Queen of Negative Energy, Black Death
Description: Pantheggles appears as a black cat with red eyes. Her left eye act as a symbol of pain and her right eye as a symbol of fear. The area around her is considered unhallowed and negative-dominant. Her breath does negative-energy damage and her fur releases disease and parasites. No healing magic works near her and allnear her risk disease even if she does not wish to fight. She is considered incorporeal when it suits her. She likes to hunt, kill her prey, take a couple of bites out of it and create undead from the remains. She is the creater of undead, the first of which were rodents (most of hers still are). As such, she is considered the Mistress of Nekocatsy. Ofcourse the schools name has been altered by the humanoids. They replaced "cat" with "man", added an "r" and changed the spelling and pronounciation. She can smell joy and loves to spread misery, disease and death.

Incidently, I see that I left out a couple of details on previous CatGods. Bengal Tigger can breathe black tulips as the spell rain of black tulips and smell hate and Lionddles can smell indecision.

edit: is now orc. now hates former self for short, bearded individual he was. must crush former self under cry of waaaaagh!

Seeing as though this thread has somehow fallen to the second page, I shall now revive it with information on Siberian Tigger

Siberian Tigger
Symbol: Cat tail dripping blood
Alignment: Lawful Evil
Gender: Female
Portfolio: Slavery, tyrrany, the working of the lessor races to death to glorify cats as superior beings
Worshipers: Slavers, evil employers, fascist governments, narcissists
Cleric Alignments: Lawful Evil, Neutral Evil and a small minority of Lawful Neutral
Domains: Animal, Cat, Cold, Death, Destruction, Domination, Evil, Fire, Hatred, Law, Tyrant, Weather
Favored Weapon: Her tail (which is considered an unholy axiomatic vicious whip
Titles: Queen of the Slavers, Mistress of Tyranny, Grand High Duchess of Cat Superiority
Description: Siberian Tigger normally appears as a skinny siamese cat. However, in titanic form she is muscular and orange with black stripes. Her right eye can cast geas as a spell-like ability at will and her left eye can cast wrack as a spell-like ability at will. Her unusually long and thin tail is used to whip her many slaves into submission and she breathes hellfire. Siberian Tigger is very vain forcing slaves to do all her work and build monuments in her image or to her glory. She believes that all other cats should follow her example in this. She has absolute control of the tempurature in her surroundings and her footprints either freeze or catch fire. When in a bad mood, she turns the surroundings into a barren desert of nothing but sand or a frozen wasteland.

The real question is, is Mr. Scruffy in this pantheon?

While Mr. Scruffy is a worthy and powerful being, a shredder of faces, a killer of casters and a companion to rulers and rangers, he is merely a herald to the CatGods, sent to protect their interests in the OOTSverse. If he was a CatGod, the comic strip would be over as he would have already accomplished everything that needed to be done.

I must admit that I forgot to add some important information on Siberian Tigger. That she can smell pity, that her eyes are yellow and flash when she uses their power, that she spends a lot of time polymorphed into lesser species to search for new slaves and that one of her titles is Hypnocat.

Now onto Leopardles as I've spent enough time in the deep end of the alignment pool.

Leoparddles
Symbol: A fluffy spot
Alignment: Neutral Good
Gender: Male
Portfolio: Contentment, introspection, philosophy, advice, counsel, sunbeams, healing, help
Worshipers: good philosophers, healers, sun lovers, those who believe in doing good as the oppertunity arrives and enjoying life in the mean time.
Cleric Alignments: Any Good
Domains: Animal, Cat, Celestial, Healing, Knowledge, Community, Mysticism, Protection, Sun
Favored Weapon: His ball (considered a holy orc shotput)
Titles: Leo, The Cat Brother, His Coolness, His Deepness, The Great Homie, Mr. Fluffy-pillow
Description: Leoparddles or Leo as he's often reffered to is the most laid back of the CatGods. He appears as a spotted cat whoose right eye casts Sublime revelry and whoose left eye casts righteous glare at will as spell-like abilities. His message is to experiance and enjoy life and to try to understand new ways of doing so whilst helping those who cannot enjoy life and casting out those whoose enjoyment comes at the expense of others. Any individual whom he breathes on is subject to a greator vigor spell. He enjoys lying in sun-beams and eats different tasty treats every day. He can smell misery and seeks to eliminate its source.

It is indeed possible. While he is obviously holding back his power it may be that he is holding back far more than I believed. If this is true, someone whom has seen though his disguise should write him up. I can't do everything by myself you know.

In the meantime, here is Wuggles.

Wuggles
Symbol: A cat clawing at a tree
Alignment: True Neutral
Gender: Female
Portfolio: Tolerance, acceptance, nature, understanding, trying new things, being true to ones nature, multiple veiwpoints
Worshipers: Druids, barbarians, totemists, people with a live and let live attitude, philosophers
Cleric Alignments: Neutral Good, Neutral Evil, Chaotic Neutral, Lawful Neutral, True Neutral
Domains: Animal, Cat, Mind, Oracle, Plant, Protection, Travel, Weather
Favored Weapon: Claws
Titles: The Truest of Cats, Queen of Cat Dominion, Mistress of Felinekind
Description: Wuggles appears as a brown cat with a green left eye that casts baleful polymorph at will as a spell-like ability and a yellow right eye that casts confusion at will as a spell-like ability. She can smell stubborness and can breath sleep-gas. She teaches that all must be true to their nature and to never dismiss another. In fact, she encourages others to try to experiance life the way others do in order to fully realise what ones true nature is. She also teaches that all have a purpose in their true nature and as such, none must try to change another. She hunts when she feels like it and eats whatever she catches for that is the way that was meant to be.

I'm also glad that the Schrodinger domain is getting done. I thought that I might have to do it. I agree that the divine ranks of the Cat Gods will be high but it is beyond my ability to stat them out as I own neither the 3rd ed version of Deities and Demigods nor the Immortals Hanbook. It would make me very happy though if someone was to stat them up. I''ve added a discription for completeness below but I must warn you that the following individuals are beyond humanoid comprehension, especially sane humanoid comprehension. I've done my best with the little I understand but others (especially servants of Primordial Eldar Cat would know more.

Primordial Elder Cat
Symbol: Tangled yarn of various colours
Alignment: Chaotic Chaos
Gender: Vaarsuvius?
Portfolio: Chaos, creation, destruction, fate, inevitability, oblivion (probably in need of correction and additions)
Worshipers: fatalists, nihilists, the desperate, philosophers, chaotic individuals (probably in need of correction and additions)
Cleric Alignments: Chaotic
Domains: Animal, Cat, Chaos, Creation, Death, Destiny, Destruction, Dream, Fate, Madness, Wrath (Needs correction)
Favored Weapon: Unknown (it appears that his method of killing is to simply decide that the individual in question no longer exists) (Needs correction)
Titles: Unknown (Needs correction)
Description: Primordial Eldar Cat is considered to be the cat that all the multiverse depends upon. The cat that sustains creation simply by paying attention to it that will one day move destroying everything and creating an entirely new set of planes. More details are undoubtably known by its cult yet few are brave enough to read or listen to such information. (Needs correction)

Cat
Symbol: A cat's face with glowing yellow eyes
Alignment: All
Gender: Male/female/hermaphrodite/asexual/a/alpha/black hole/Vaarsuvius/F+/F-/Hfr/+/-/F'/pin/thrum/golden delicious etc.
Portfolio: Everything that cats have dominion over. ie. everything
Worshipers: Those who don't realize its really just Snuggles when he isn't pretending to also be all the rest of the cat pantheon. All who've realised the superiority of catkind.
Cleric Alignments: Any
Domains: All offered by any CatGod.
Favored Weapon: Kick
Titles: None. There is only CAT and that is all that will do CAT justice.
Description: CAT appears as a black and white cat with yellow, glowing eyes. CAT has all the combined added and synergised powers of the entire cat pantheon. CAT has all alignments and is always treated as the alignment most conveniant to CAT. Pronouns are never used when reffering to CAT as they do not allow CAT'S awesomeness to be expressed. CAT is not likely to be encountered as CAT usually spends CAT'S time spit up into the cat pantheon. Little else is known or understood about CAT as the times that CAT has displayed CATSELF to humanity are rare and leave few witnesses.

Bhu

Divine Rank is as follows:

0: Quasi deity. Cant grant spells, but is immortal, may have a mortal parent.
1-5: Demigods. Has a few hundred to a few thousand worshippers.
6-10: Lesser God. Has a few thousand to possibly tens of thousands of worshippers.
11-15: Intermediate God. Has hundreds of thousands fo worshippers.
16-20: Greater God, may have millions of worshippers.
21+: Overdeities. They do not grant spells or answer prayers and are so far beyond mortals as to no have worshippers.

A Deity of at least Rank 1 has 3 Domains. If it wants more it needs a Salient Divine Ability called Extra Domain for each Domain past the third. A deity gets a number of Salient Divine abilities equal to it's Divine Rank. So right now each cat god has (number of domains -3) as it's minimum divine rank. Plus one mroe for each other divine ability you want it to have

Sereg
2009-07-08, 09:59 AM
I rechecked the holy original thread and Snuggles officially has a divine rank of 25. His siblings are considered to have a similar level of power yet him and Good Cat are reffered to as the "greatest and most unknowable", suggesting that Good Cat also has a Divine Rank of 25 and that their siblings have divine ranks of probably 23-25. I'm sure that the worshipers of Primordial Elder Cat would say that it has an even higher divine rank as it is basically an abstract cosmic entity. CAT would have an even higher divine rank as CAT is made of the essences of the other CatGods and is beyond comprehension. Giving CAT your kitty domains (obviously CAT would have them) gives CAT a divine rank of 54 just from domains and ignoring all of CAT'S other powers.

Incidently I'm not an artist so I can't help in that respect yet I would also llove to see their holy symbols drawn.

Okay as a base, all deities have 20 outsider Hit Dice, and most have 40 Hit Dice worth of class levels (usually level 20 in 2 classes).

I've thought about it a bit and I think that Cuddles would probably have levels in paladin and maybe in monk and knight. Couggles would probably be a barbarian/rogue. Lionddles would probably have at least one level of aristocrat (he'd care more about bossing people around than optomisation. Possibly also beguiller, enchanter and knight. Wuggles would probably have druid and totemist levels. Siberian Tigger probably has levels in paladin of tyrrany and enchanter. Pantheggles would definately have levels in necromancer and dread necromancer nekocatser and dread nekocatser. Thus far still unsure about the others.

She doesn't have an allowed alignment for druid. Maybe wizard (possibly speciallising in abjurations)?

Liondles: Fighter 20, Barbarian 20

Neither the alignment, nor the personality for barbarian. Maybe knight?

Wuggles: Druid 20, Scout 20?

Siberian Tigger: Paladin of Tyranny 20, Wizard 20

The next thing that would need to be decided is their Divine Rank. Just about everything is influenced by Divine Rank, and it determines how many Salient Divine Abilities the Deity will have. Of course it looks like the bulk of the Snuggles Pantheons abilities will all be Extra Domains. Most Gods usually have 3-5 Domains.

CAT would have an even higher divine rank as CAT is made of the essences of the other CatGods and is beyond comprehension. Giving CAT your kitty domains (obviously CAT would have them) gives CAT a divine rank of 54 just from domains and ignoring all of CAT'S other powers.

Bhu, you forgot that CAT as the totality of all catness would have your kitty domains.

I can't really get much more specific than that as I am unsure how many salient divine abilities that they would require to be able to do what they can canonically do.

@Bhu: Pretty much. That's what canon says anyway. It is believed that a large discrepincy in power would result in one side no longer being able to meaningfully contribute to the multiverse.

@Rigon: I'm assuming that you now read the first post and found the information that you were seeking.

Description: Snuggles appears to be a black house cat that has its right eye replaced with a Shield brooch, and its tongue replaced with a Wand of Isaac's Greater Missile Storm, and is wearing a collar of True Resurrection. His left eye can cast Disintegrate at will.
Snuggles enjoys playing with his food, so much so that he gathers worshipers to his other aspects for greater entertainment when he inevitably turns upon them.

with Alter Size the cat gods can be any size they want, but what size are they normally? Tiny?

Also gods have the following stats: 35, 28, 25, 24, 24, 24. Then you have increases by level and Divine Rank.

Other than that, cool so far.

Let me look at the templates. Quite honestly he may not need them as many of the abilities he gets as a deity will be better than what he gets fro mteh template or could be simulated by salient divine abilities.

The wand is a wand of Isaac's Greater Missile Storm (http://nwn.wikia.com/wiki/Isaac's_greater_missile_storm). As for the jingly ball, I don't think that Snuggles cast's spells from it as he merely uses it as a toy and most of those spells have the good descriptor anyway, making him not eligible to cast them.

Also, in addition to being a familiar, Snuggles has 16 more Salient Divine Abilities to choose. I'll probably give him ones related to his classes but what else do you guys want? He's already gotten everything appropriate from his description.

Combat

Fluffy like other cats prefers to sneak up on his prey. He is particularly good at stalking wizards' smaller familiars.

Frightful Presence (Ex): When Fluffy makes a loud sound (a growl, or hiss), he inspires terror in all creatures within 20 feet that have fewer Hit Dice or levels than he has. Each potentially affected opponent must succeed at a Will save (DC 18) or become shaken—a condition that lasts until the opponent is out of range. A successful save leaves that opponent immune to Fluffy’s frightful presence for 24 hours. The save is charisma-based.

Greater Damage (Ex): Damage dice for the Fluffy’s natural attacks are increased by one die type.

See in Darkness (Su): Fluffy can see perfectly in darkness of any kind, even that created by deeper darkness spells.

Skills: Cats have a +4 racial bonus on Climb, Hide, and Move Silently checks and a +8 racial bonus on Jump checks. Cats have a +8 racial bonus on Balance checks. They use their Dexterity modifier instead of their Strength modifier for Climb and Jump checks. *In areas of tall grass or heavy undergrowth, the Hide bonus rises to +8.

Feats: As a paragon creature, Fluffy gains the Flop Feat as a bonus feat. Fluffy can gracefully fall down and captivate a nearby humanoid with his remarkable cuteness. As a standard action, Fluffy can fall prone, forcing one humanoid of his choice within 10 feet of him to make a successful Will save (DC 18) or be dazed for 1 round. The target must be able to see Fluffy. This extraordinary ability is a mind-affecting effect. The save is Charisma-based. As a monster of legend, Fluffy also gains Improved Initiative and Multiattack as bonus feats.

Designer Notes:
Paragon Creature Template is from Epic Level Handbook and Monster of Legend Template is from Monster Manual 2. The Flop Feat is from Fabulous Cats!, an article on the Wizard's of the Coast Website.

Since the Paragon Legend added significant skill points and Monster of Legend only reconfigured them as the base creature, I updated them per the Paragon template and didn't recalculate. Fluffy's type changed from animal to outsider (native) with the Monster of Legend template.

I take no responsibility for anyone who actually attempts to use this creature. For entertainment purposes only!

I don't really see Snuggles as having a familiar unless his jingly ball is an item familiar, though a Quasit might work as well if he had the improved familiar feat.

Bhu

Okay I need to edit in the fluff, add more Salient Divine Abilites (and write up his new ones), add attacks and Feats, and I believe Snuggles is done.

Bhu
2009-08-12, 07:11 AM
While editing i nthe fluff to Snuggles I noticed a few things I have questions about:

All Deities have 1 Favored Weapon used by their clerics. Snuggles (and most of the cat deities) appear to have many. Was this intentional?

Snuggles Portfolio has several names identical to Domain names, and they're domains he does not have. Should he? Becuase if he does thats where some fo the leftover Salient Divine Abilities can go.

Yes. I thought I'd posted earlier. Must have accidentally closed the tab before I did though. Anyways, I'm not actually sure about that myself. I've never actually looked at how gods are statted or anything. Also, it would likely be best to find one of the better informed followers of Snuggles. As it is though I'd say that it would be one way to take care of the issue.

Owrtho
2009-08-21, 03:59 PM
Sorry, missed that there was a new post. If I am correct in the idea that an avatar is sorta a fake version of the god that can be summoned, then yes, all the cat gods have one.

Owrtho

Bhu
2009-08-22, 02:43 AM
An Avatar is a portion of the deities power that it can manifest on the world. A greater deity can have up to 20 at once, and they knoiw everything he knows and vice versa. They have half the Divine Rank of their creating deity, so they are much less powerful and have less Salient Divine Abilities.

All the cat pantheon would have avatars then I think.

As for having a familiar, I can actually see that, though he'd probably be the type to keep his familiar out of the action out of fear of it dying (which is why it is not well known).

I ask because there are always class variant levels I could use. He could have some ability other than a Familiar.

Since nobody else has worked on the Schrödinger's Domain, I thought I'd take a stab at it.

Schrödinger's Domain

Domain Granted Power

Granted power: You gain immunity to plant-based poisons but not to magical poisons.

Spells
1. Omen of Peril
2. Curse of Ill Fortune
3. Beast Claws
4. Death Ward
5. Life’s Grace
6. Revive Outsider
7. Renewal Pact
8. Discern Location
9. True Resurrection

Many of these spells can be found in the Spell Compendium.

why plant based poisons?

Debihuman
2009-08-31, 01:32 PM
Why plant-based poisons?

Because the original experiment was predicated on poisoning the cat with a derivative of cyanide which is plant based. It also balances well with the other domain powers. Full poison immunity is too powerful as a domain power.

Bhu, I doubt that anyone is in a great rush for this. I don't even think the original poster does much with this thread any more as the first post hasn't been edited in quite some time.

I'm glad you liked the Schrödinger's Domain. Anyone want to stat up a Schrödinger's Cat, which is probably an undead creature that appears to be a normal cat during the day but at night it appears rather gruesome.

Well, actually I've just been waiting for things to be completely finished before updating it. But your right there isn't too much of a rush. As for a Schrödinger's Cat, I'd expect something more along the lines of that people have an x% chance to see it as a normal cat or one a little more dead.

The now famous cleric-wizard Schrödinger was a disciple of Snuggles. His familiar was poisoned by cyanide and became the first Schrödinger's cat. Unfortunately, the familiar's name was lost to the annals of time.

You left off the granted power in the Pie Domain in the first post: "You cast spells with the food or drink descriptor at +1 caster level"

Alternatively, you could gain the Cast Iron Stomach feat which is open gaming content from Seafarers Handbook.

CAST-IRON STOMACH [General]
You can consume the most unpleasant fare without so much as a second thought.
Prerequisite: Con 13
Benefit: You derive nourishment from spoiled food and can avoid dehydration by drinking seawater with few ill effects. By subsisting on these unusual provisions, you double the amount of time you can go without fresh food and water.
Normal: Without this feat you can go without food for three days, after which time you must make a Constitution check (DC 10, + 1 for each previous check) or take 1d6 points of nonlethal damage. Without this feat you can go without fresh water for one day plus a number of hours equal to your Constitution score, after which you must make Constitution checks as described above, with similar effects for failed checks.
Special: For this feat to take effect, you must have access to formerly edible foods and a supply of salt water. Otherwise, you are just as vulnerable to starvation and dehydration as any other character.

Debihuman
2009-09-22, 09:53 PM
The pie domain already lets you do that with the create food and water spell [desserts and after-dinner drinks only] at level 4.

Has anyone statted out catnip? I would think it would be a poison resulting in mild euphoria -- causes cats to be distracted for 1d4+1 rounds (Will save negates). It probably has a DC 12. It doesn't seem to work on the larger cats, such as lions and tigers. While distracted, cats will roll around and purr.

There is a Celestial Domain in Book of Exalted Deeds page 86. I found it on Crystalkeep. Originally I thought I it was a "Celestia" Domain but I was wrong.

Any thoughts on Divine Abilities for Leoparddles? I've got 13 slots left to fill.

Debihuman
2009-10-26, 10:40 PM
Leoparddles or Leo as he's often referred to is the most laid back of the Cat Gods.

You left off the ability to breathe the greater vigor spell on an individual and the fact that his right eye casts sublime revelry and his left eye casts righteous will as at will spell-like abilities.

You need 13 more Salient Abilities...

Here's my list and why I think each is a good idea:

Since he's is supposed to be laid back: Alter Form (for sneaking away when someone's looking for him); Alter Size (so he can appear more imposing when necessary or shrink to avoid others [this is a prerequistite for Alter Form]; Call Creatures [cuz he's fundamentally lazy]; Control Creatures [he's laid back not stupid]; Divine Celerity [that cat-like speed], Divine Dodge [those cat-like reflexes];Divine Fast Healing [he's got 9 lives and he'd like to keep every one of them and this is a prerequisite for Rejuvination]; Divine Inspiration: Hope [cuz it's a good thing to do]; Divine Radiance [perfect for sun worshiping and following the sunbeams]; Lay Quest [this falls under law but I think counsel fits as everyone has to learn something the hard way...], Mind of the Beast, this is stretching a bit but it goes for giving counsel, Rejuvination saving those 9 lives as often as possible....

Are we there yet?

BTW, the Celestia Domain is in the Planar Handbook. That's how I got confused the first time.

Until then I will be working a minimum of 4 days a week, 10-14 hours a day (sometimes 5 or 6 days a week). So my participation will get a lil tricky tween now and then sometimes. I shall do my best to keep up tho.

For some reason the pie domain didn't have the granted ability I made for it. It's in my original post. You'll have to look through this thread for it as I am working from someone else's computer and have no access to my files at the moment.

[Edit] See Post # 36. You cast spells with the food and drink descriptor as one level higher.

I like the Druid/Scout for Wuggles. Destiny domain is from Races of Destiny. BTW, Crystalkeep has a pdf which summarizes all the domains and lists their sources. I find it very useful.

Minor update to Wuggles.

Bhu
2009-12-14, 05:47 AM
Hmm...I may need to make some Salient Divine Abilities for GOds who have classes other than the ones from teh PHB. Its kinda limiting when you cant qualify for a lot of stuff cause your not using one of those classes.

Okay the next several weeks are gonna be kinda icky for updates. It's crunch time at work, and we'll be processing 20+ thousand cases of wine and such a week until the holidays are over. Be patient and I will update as I can.

Sorry to hear about your friend. I hope you have a happy holiday season despite work and your friend's heart attack and let's hope she recovers completely! As for the Cat Pantheon, it can surely wait a couple of days. In the meantime, here are my suggestions for more of Wuggles' salient abilities.

I think Alter Form might be a good salient ability fits both nature and trying new things portfolios. Alter Reality would be useful since it works with Mind of the Beast and also fits for trying new things. Clearsight fits the multipleview points portfolio. Command Plants should be required since Wuggles has the plant domain. Divine Blessing (Wisdom) Note that Wuggles just barely qualifies for this as she needs a score of 40 Wisdom herself. You totally forgot Divine Druid since Wuggles is a 20th level druid herself. Divine Recall would fit her portfolio as an oracle. Footsore is almost required for the Travel domain. Grow Creature is part of the Nature portfolio. Mind of the Beast is also part of the Nature portfolio [Requires the Alter Reality salient ability to make it permanent]. Power of Nature fits the weather portfolio. Speak With Creatures is salient ability that fits the Nature portfolio.

That should complete Wuggles portfolio.

As for more Feats: Run, Fleet of Foot (Divine Feat). Wuggles would need Run as a prerequisite feat for Fleet of Foot. Plant Control and Plant Defiance are other good Divine Feats. Other feats that might be good are Colossal Wildshape (Epic Feat) and Dragon Wildshape (Epic Feat); I think she qualifies for those as well.

Siberian Tigger
Symbol: Cat tail dripping blood
Alignment: Lawful Evil
Gender: Female
Portfolio: Slavery, tyranny, the working of the lessor races to death to glorify cats as superior beings
Worshipers: Slavers, evil employers, fascist governments, narcissists
Cleric Alignments: Lawful Evil, Neutral Evil and a small minority of Lawful Neutral
Domains: Animal, Cat, Cold, Death, Destruction, Domination, Evil, Fire, Hatred, Law, Tyranny, Weather

SIBERIAN TIGGER still needs 5 more salient divine abilities.

Pantheggles should have a lot of metamagic feats.

I think the stuff on the front page was still subject to editing. There were a lot of notes indicating that stuff "may need correction."

Still, you are doing an amazing job on this pantheon. Keep up the good work! :smallcool:
