Back at the bandit's camp he was hanging upsidedown, acting drunk from bloodrush, and mistook the overly enthusiastic killer sorceress for his aunt.

Also, not to nitpick, but I think you meant "I'd" in the title, not "Ild".

IIRC, Rich mentioned in the book commentaries that he didn't want to go too much into Belkar's backstory because a serious presentation of how he got to be the way he is would ruin his humor value.

I'm sure he could write a subplot with one of Belkar's relatives and avoid that pitfall if he ever chose do so, but I don't really expect that to happen.

I always thought it would be funny if Serini was related to Belkar in some way. Probably not going to happen, but I just imagine them fighting their way through Kraagor's gate... only for Belkar's grandma to grab him by the ear and lecture him about killing all her expensive monsters.
