Hm. According to this comic http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0001.html , Dwarves are exceptionally stable.

But in this comic http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0665.html it looks like Durkon is pushed over on his behind by the impact of lithe little Celia charging and bull rushing (rushing the bull, he he) Roy.

So... perhaps it's the added force of long with-held love that overcame even Durkon's stability?

Methinks that was Durkon jumping back to avoid incoming Celia(it woulda'nae do to stay between two grapplin' attackers...) or more likely to avoid Roy's sword swinging around from impact.

This. Anyone can simply let the charge/overrun/bull rusher pass as a free action.

Hm... "Roy's sword"... now I'm a grown-up man, but I'm still grateful that the Giant mercifully didn't make that one explicit...

Actually, I figured it was a voluntary jump backwards to keep a naked Roy from being slammed into him....

I agree with the others--Durkon is definitely not being knocked over there, or else he'd be flat on the ground in the next panel. He's just trying to avoid getting a faceful of Roy's buttocks, I think.
