Ok guys, I need things to do in Colorado or my dad is going to ground me. If anyone lives or has gone there, I need cool places to go or my dad is going to yell at me again. :smallannoyed:

Wait, if you don't go out and do something you will be restricted from going out and doing something?

Colorado is about a hundred-thousand square miles so a more specific locale might be helpful.

OK, that's where I lived just before I moved to Alabama (took a job with the Army).

Gaming:
Castle Games and Gifts
5975 N Academy Blvd # 203, Colorado Springs, CO 80918

Compleat Games and Hobbies
326 N Tejon St, Colorado Springs, CO 80903
(My two favorite game stores, if you go to Castle Games and Gifts, tell Jeff I said Hello.)

Other Stuff:
Garden of the Gods. Driving tour, hiking tours, nature.
Pikes Peak (Watch your brakes coming down. Low Gear is your friend)

Downtown:
Lots of stores and stuff to look at.
Old Colorado City Historic District

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo (They used to have a Night at the Zoo. Check it out) It's not as big as the Denver Zoo, but still has a lot of animals

Cliff Dwellings

Peterson Air and Space Museum

Sky Sox Stadium (Minor League Baseball)

What do you like to do? If I tell you to go rent or buy a mountain bike and you answer that you're allergic to fresh air and can't leave your bubble... Mute Embarrasment all around.

Be sure to drive up Pike's Peak, it's a really great view and there's a small store up there and a weather station...

Avoid Denver like the plague if at all possible.

Ooo... Colorado Springs... Nice place. Unfortunately only my dad's been there and he'd mostly recommend restaurants...

In Colorado I've only been to Steamboat Springs. Fabulous skiing.

I lived in Ft. Collins for 2 years and agree that you should avoid Denver, can't really put my finger on it but I don't like Denver at all.

One place you should visit if at all possible is Estes Park. It's quite a beautiful place, and it also home of the Stanley Hotel, where they shot parts of the Shining movie.

If you do find yourself in Denver, you must go to Casa Bonita.

A friend of mine named Andy lives in Colorado Springs. Maybe you could hunt him down and throw eggs at him for me. I think he works at a Little Caesar's pizza if that helps.

I personally like Denver (having grown up in Littleton), just avoid it during rush hour and you should be fine. I-25 can get particularly bad.

In Denver, there's the wonderful Denver Zoo (http://www.denverzoo.org/), the Denver Museum of Nature and Science (http://www.dmns.org/main/en/) where my brother has worked on some of the displays and artwork and the IMAX theater (http://www.dmns.org/main/en/General/Imax/CurrentFilms/). For the IMAX I wouldn't recommend the Grand Canyon Adventure film, it's mostly propaganda... Or the Denver Botanic Gardens (http://www.botanicgardens.org/). If you like 6 flags, there's Elitch Gardens (http://www.elitchgardens.com/). Casa Bonita (http://www.casabonitadenver.com/) is always an interesting experience.

Information on Pike's Peak (http://www.pikespeakcolorado.com/), one of the few 14'ers in CO that you can drive up to the peak. Or there is Mt Evans (http://www.mountevans.com/) with the highest paved road in North America.

You could probably go down to Durango and do some stuff in that area...
That's where I go....

I agree with caw, I've been to the festival several times. It's in Larkspur, CO, north of Colorado Springs. Just be sure to arrive early to avoid the lines.
