Its another dim day in the underdark, everyone here has awoken to a call from the Matriach of the el'geth house. You all will go to the new dwarf encampment that has started, and bring me back prisoners for the glory of our spider queen. I have decided that should you succeed, i will let you stop sleeping with the goblin filth, and begin having your own rooms again. You have the rest of the next 4 hours to get supplies, then you will leave the minor protection this city offers, and will go bring me a new playtoy.

She hands each of you an emblem of the el'geth house if you die this will inform me... Also she walks up to the new drow slave, you serve me now, you will keep an eye on these wretches, now out of my sight!

You are all ushered out into the bustling streets of rongath, what are you guys going to do?

Darky will shift around uncomfortably keeping his distance from the group trying to size up each one. He eventually will seem to shuffle towards the center and opens his mouth to say something but immediately freezez before any statement is said and instead stares off into space for the moment. Taking time to concentrate on something off into the distance, when he looks back at the group he seems cheery now.

Greetings friends, how are we all today? Perhaps we should move on to this dwarf camp. Now all we have to do is decide who walks in front. Naturally I think that... A pause for a few seconds while he loses complete focus again instead staring at the ground with complete interest. Everyone should shut up and lets get a move on He ends the sentence grumpily

OOC: In pbp games it is good etiquette to keep ooc thoughts and comments seperate.
Just thought I'd pop that in. I doesn't actually bother me. lol.

Chepis'quran frowned. The closest thing to a comment he could make right now was a grunt. The Matriarch seemed in a particularly foul mood today. Her actions were rude and gruff even for her and her lack of finese showed. Something was up perhaps. Chepis'quran drifted into his thoughts for a moment on the topic. Perhaps there were a few he could ask. But right now no one owed him any favours. He held nothing over any of the Drow.
Maybe he should keep shut and do the task. But that is the path of the weakling servant. Down that road lies a pitiful death.
"No, I must try and find out what is going on ahead of the others. But I have been given little lee-way." He thought to himself

"Her words are clues maybe? then you will leave the minor protection this city offers This city was one of the mightiest in the entire underdark. No single force could even hope to make a dent in the Drow defences. There was nothing minor about it. Unless the threat was not from without. Perhaps the Matriarch is in danger? Parhaps the church of Lolth is in danger? What else is new to both of them." He continued his assessment "Also and will go bring me a new playtoy new playtoy? Where is her old one? Who was her current one? I cannot remember. Died tasting her food perhaps? Died in the bedroom maybe. No she is too old and powerful to lower herself to such antics. Either the displeasure of the Matriarch or Assination would be my bet."

Chepis'quran finished his private musings and snapped out of his short reverie and caught the end of the other Drow's comments.
"I think the party order will not be of great importance for some time. We should make haste to the most recent Dwarf settlement. Though she failed to specify which one or indeed which type of Dwarf. But she made it clear that we leave right now."

Adinbryn doesn't make a sound. It's his duty to obey his lady, and this new one happened to command him to conquer... Something he's not opposed nor unaccustomed to. In fact, he sort of looked forward to the death up ahead. It reminded him he's got a true purpose, and he's good at it.

With a heavy gait, he steps forward, and joins the party. Unlike his his cheery... traveling partner, he was not as enthusiastic. It was not everyday his lady doubted his powers. His queen never did so. And the nerve of the fellow telling Adinbryn to shut up. Only one person [ooc: at a time] gives him orders... Hell, she could order him to keep his thoughts quiet and he'd become mentally silent.

Berg'dorl brow furrowed temporarily, causing small wrinkles to form in his otherwise smooth gray skin. His lady's action were strange for her. Still she had given him a job he would enjoy completing. Walking out into the street, Berg'dorl view drifts over each of his companions. His eyes narrow slightly as he is told to shut up. Still he controlled himself for now."We should leave soon, it is the desire of the Matriach."

Well then let's stop dawdling around here waiting to displease those much stronger than us, and move on.

He pauses yet again staring off into space after this and starts patting his body. I can't believe I don't have any on me, I'll be dead before the rest of these people and that's no good. His tone changes to cheery.

I do seem to be low on a few things though. I didn't expect to leave this early, perhaps we could visit a magic store for some potions and maybe that belt I think I saw up in the shop. It will certainly benefit the party for us to have these if you would be so kind as to allow me the chance to go get them and return. You may come if you wish. I understand that she wants us to leave right now but I'm sure a moment will not bother her.

Securely tying the belt around his waist (that would also be his first and only possession)... Having spending money was so unusual, the only payment received in the pits was you life, and that never came easy, but with his queen dead, he's the sole heir to her fortune (most of which went into decorating her casket, on his orders, covering it with diamonds, sapphires, and several other precious jewels and metals), and though he originally wanted nothing to do with the money, this little belt he coulda used all them years in the pits.

Siinasaressa

Harmonious and soothing as the passive sound of water, breezes and silence together; her voice was not brash or cruel.
"Be calm, Spiders are quiet and patient. More frantic things often scurry into her webs. "
The Priestess slid into view from behind the Drow messenger. If there was such a thing as breathtaking perfection of body, she was a flawless example. Her long, silver hair shimmered with the rewards of careful attention, partially hiding her eyes and giving you an excuse to look at her face when she was talking. It was beauty that accepted nothing less than an audience's whole attention.
"In the same way as a Spider's offering, you are going to die if you do not heed me."
She let that sink in, judging the Males assembled before her. "Duergar are canny and could almost be called intelligent. They might also be called invisible, so well do they blend with the Underdark. I suspect if you did not prepare yourselves, as you should, you would only succeed in confirming how worthless the Matron believes you are."

She smoothed some ripples in her expensive looking silk clothes. Her posture, her relaxed aura of heavy responsibility -- she expected not to undertake the effort of earning your attention and obedience. It was clear she expected most people to present it.

"If you offered everything else you knew of these 'Dwarves', Siinasaressa, Daughter of the Matron of House El'Geth, would have less reason to demonstrate what happens to incompetents." Her voice did not seem threatening, it had a reasonable, easygoing quality.
"Perhaps they are Duergar, perhaps not. How many 'Dwarves' have you seen? What do their intentions appear to be? Have they bothered with emissaries, or patrols? Have you noticed Wizards, or ugly Priests of a Fat-bellied Duergar God?"

"We Drow cannot abide vague answers to our curiosities, walk with me, and consider what manner of answer I prefer." She inclined her head at the Drow guard. Then her attention was for the others in the slaving patrol. She commanded that One Male should follow her, in the Drow Sign language.
"You are not so useless I should have to tell you to gather more knowledge. Return to this place in one hour, after you've cleansed your bodies of Goblin stench, and asked sufficient questions. Go."

She would work her way through likely sources of information, sentries, city guards, members of patrols through the surrounding underdark, merchants and other ilk. Collectively, she had a series of questions. All the while, she expected the Drow guard who'd met her with his 'killed three patrols' answer to follow. One of the Males from her own House would watch him.

Siinasaressa's QuestionsWhose patrols have been sent out to survey the Dwarves?
Has anyone seen these patrols murdered with their own eyes?
After investigation, how did it appear the members of these patrols died?
What was the relative strength of these patrols, who were they composed of?
Have any Drow patrols returned to this city after being sent out?
How many Drow patrols have been sent out, in total, and which Houses were they from?
What race of Dwarves is nearby, Duergar? Surfacers?
What does it appear the Dwarves are doing? What is their intention for being here?
Do they have Wizardly folk with them, have you seen anyone leading prayer?
Are the Dwarves well equipped?
Have the Dwarves sent any emissaries to the city?
What is inside the cave beyond the Dwarves?
I haven't been there lately, what are the Mushroom fields like?
Are there any rumours concerning the Mushroom fields?
Have the Dwarves been raiding caravans to, or from the city?

(In a less obvious way) Why was the information we were initially given so vague?Notes
If anyone offers to sell slaves, or offers information about slaves, she will hear whatever they have to say, and judge whether it is suspicious or not. She is concerned with getting slaves, and will consider any variety of Slave.

If anyone offers reliable information on the Duergar, she wants that, too. She is not interested in getting Duergar Slaves/Prisoners yet, but she does want whatever information the people who live in the city have.

Making sure that everything is packed safely Darky will look at the new priestess with a forced smile. Despite this his eyes are cheery. He will act humbled around the priestess, keeping his mouth closed he'll alert everyone to where he is going to go sit and wait for the party to come and alert them to their leaving of the city and then leaves the party to their devices. He walks away mumbling to himself.

Information, questions, planning, it's ridiculous, can't even believe we have a priestess.

He'll sit on his bench, pull out his book and start vigorously writing in it.

Ah, a priestess. The only way to truly enjoy a fine pit fight is to have the cooling touch of mystical rejuvenation... Though always followed by a slight touch of pain, to remind him his place. By the state of his life (and by that he means the fact he still has it), it's easy to see he must be quite the fighter.

"My life is yours to command," he says, speaking for the first time. His voice, though slightly gravelly from being choked several times (both in and out of the pits), has an ere of nobility. He doesn't look up, rather his glowing red eyes remain fixed on the path ahead.

Chepis'quran had not bothered to go shopping with the others. As a Deep Imaskari adventurer he was always prepared. As the others had turned to the shops Chepisquran had instead gone to his very humble residences at the quarters for the house Wizards and retrieved his travelling pack and items.
Once he had his essential gear on he signalled to what appeared to be a pile of black robes in the corner. It moved forward with a quick sharp movement and two red gleaming eyes looked up at it's master. The Skeleton warrior moved to stand beside Chepi and he strapped his bedding and a few items that did not matter as much if they were damaged to it's back.
Tucking his wand into his belt Chepisq'quran was ready and set out to gather with the others. He kept to the shadows - and there were many - as he walked to the shops. For no reason other than he enjoyed doing so. He arrived as the priestess of Lolth declared her obvious leadership right over the party. Chepis'quran's eyes glinted a dangerous deep green in the shadows as he listened. As she dressed down the guard and began to lead the guard away, Chepis'quran decided that he did not want to miss out on whatever was about to occur and as quietly as he could he followed, noting her signal for a house male to occompany her. He signalled for his skeleton to remain motionless where it was as he moved away. He was not from the same house as such, not being a Drow. But it couldn't hurt.

"You have passed yours, Male. I am finished with you." She was obviously not as frightening as she should be. "Excuse yourself, or I will make the Matron's threat more tangible."

Having asked a great many people of information relating to the Duergar, she switched topics. The object of her search was the Slave Market, and all information pertaining to Slaves, the Purchase of slaves, or the possible acquisition of slaves. If any non-Drow seemed available, vulnerable, she would make note of them.

Chepis'quran frowned at the guards response. Something odd was going on here.
He watched as the preistess wandered off toward the slave markets and then when no members of the group were obviously nearby slunk back to his Skeleton Warrior. He ordered it to follow him once more and walked from the shadows to greet the others who were standing in a group outside the shops.

Duergar, moving freely in the city. As they seemed even slightly intimidated (probably not familiar with her more sensuous flavour of dancing..?), she decided they may know something about the camp of 'Dwarves'.

"Ah, the emissaries from the nearby Duergar. I have been expecting your arrival. You may follow me."

What an obscene gesture of trust. As if she would ever really be safe enough for something like that. If the Dwarves follow readily, she will lead them as discreetly as she can to where she expects the group has assembled.

"Duergar slaves," Her chuckle was a pleasant sound, her words carried a tone that suggested she thought their answer was dubious. "a keen sense of humour. I understand our negotiations will not seem so tedious now."

She wasted no more time with what she suspected they would see as frivolous conversation. These Duergar were not slaves, first was their widely known history, of which they were fond of boasting. Her Mother's standards were sloppy, if she tolerated a mouthy slave like that. They should have been broken, with their tongues cut out so they could not stain the air she breathed with their foul, gravelly voices. These were not slaves.

If they were, she could always find new ones.

"I will concede you this courtesy. After collecting my delegation, I will escort you from the city personally. Amongst your own guard, we may conduct our negotiations in relative neutrality."

Who were these 'slaves', to turn down such an excellent opportunity; and what delegation would refuse the nearby proximity of what she suspected was a large mob of Duergar?

Assuming she did not have to allay any troublesome requests because they were suspicious.

Siinasaressa will keep the pretence flowing as long as she feels is prudent. At the arrival of the guards, Berg'dorl knew the time of departure had arrived. His shopping had been done relatively quickly, and he had slipped into a quick trance against the wall. He picks up his pack, and flows towards the gathered group.

The endless talking had worn on Berg'dorl nerves. Instead of slitting his throat, Berg'dorl resorts to trying to slow the flow of strange drow words.

So don't waste it, you may need to ask for help later."

Adinbryn follows the guards without making a single sound. In fact, he's so quiet you lose track of him every few seconds. He is the silent spider crawling along it's web, ready to snare a new foe. Adinbryn stays low, keeping crouched like the animal he is. He's poised so to leap from an oncoming foes strike, and his hands are clenched to the point drops of blood trickle down to the ground. But that's how he liked it. It gave him the dark fury required to stand toe to toe with his mightiest foes.

Chepis'quran follows along behind everyone else quietly, his undead minion trudging along just behind him. Even after the short period he had spent with these people he had come to realise that there is a decent possibility that they might just get him killed. He uses a finger to push the rose tinted glasses back onto his nose where they had slipped ever so slightly. He pulled his black leather cloak about his dark purple robes and slowly drifted off into thought, completely ignoring the talkative fellow at the front of the group.

He was pondering a book he had been reading about magical theories and ways to channel energy for spells more dynamically. This intrigued him and was definately worth looking into. If he could dynamically direct the flow of generated negative energy he could do some crazy things with it. The thought made him tingle all over and a few random strands of deep black negative energy crackled and sizzled around his body for the briefest of moments.

At being interrupted by Berg'dorl Darky will look at him with a broad smile revealing that his mouth is complete blackness, his teeth, tongue, everything is black as he allows the signature of Malphas to show at his bidding. He will make sure to smile like this while he talks so that people may see his mouth.

I can be a talker, I can be quiet, I can be who I wish to be as I wish it. I am all things great and small, perhaps my mouth is black and has nothing in it, and yet it does.

At this statement his mouth will revert back to regular as he supresses the sign.

I am as I wish, and right now I wish to be a friend. The names Darkslith but you can call me Darky, I got that one from a friend, what's yours young buck? As for you monk, a wise man knows when to ask a question so I shall sit and ponder about that, I will ask you when the time is ready. Perhaps there is a better time for when I can ask you a question.

Darky will touch his temple at the end of the sentence and flash the monk a wide smile, his mouth now completely black again.

So long as 'Darky' was quiet when they left the boundaries of the city, she had nothing to add. He may look like a fool, a liability surviving until now. Today would probably not be worth the headache. This group was surely some kind of suicide patrol, brought together for the Matron's amusement. The entire city was probably laughing at them. A cruel joke for the Spider Queen to savour.

Siinasaressa slowed her pace, other members of the group gradually passed her. It was not within their rights to tell her how she should walk. She retrieved the small item her mother had given all the members of the group. She held it up where she was certain the Imaskari, who she suspected was a Wizard, could see it -- then she made a show of examining it.

The Ur'Geth glyph was prominently displayed. The Matron said it would alert her if the members of the Slaving Patrol died. How does this work? She wondered, her thoughtful expression only there for a brief time.

"From the depths of the darkest places, thank you, Matron Mother." She said aloud, glancing over her shoulder at the Imaskari Male, Chepis'quran. Strands of the endless web willing, he understood the unspoken intention in some subconscious way. It was in the nature of a Wizard to wonder about enchanted things like the Emblem of House El'Geth.

The Priestess searched to the left side of the column, and held her gaze in that general direction. Despite their bleak prospects, the Matron seemed to have overlooked one important thing. She could tell in how her lie to the Duergar seemed more plausible now. The timing of the city guards' arrival had been convenient. The Slaving Patrol, doomed as they seemed, had been given the most uncertain path. She pocketed the El'Geth insignia, and decided that she would find a way to take the Duergar outside with her, regardless of the external pressures.

Matron may not have realized; the Spider Queen's favour rested with this most unlucky band of fools. Their chances were improved immeasurably.

Chepis'quran was deep in thought, not much penetrates through when he is working on his magical theorems. But when the Drow priestess held up the house insignia they had been given and looked at it in a strange slightly puzzled way he realised she must be pondering something about the magical nature of the device.
He was not sure if she did not know what it did or was simply wondering how it works. Carefully as they walked he approached her.

"Very clever little devices the house insignias are. Only a few of the simplest spells interwoven with each other, yet they produce highly useful effects."
He smiles to show his apreciation for someone who contemplates the truest nature of things as they are.
"Lolth's children are truly the most cunning of creatures."

Siinasaressa

Rustling meant two things -- they wanted to be found, or they were worthless -- she preferred the rustling. Sighing, Siinasaressa brushed her hand across the surface of the mushroom she was resting on. So much for reverie.

"Everyone get up, we're leaving now." Her voice was clear, firm, and relaxed. She spoke in a loud tone, but did not shout.
She slid off the mushroom and crouched as low as she could, while still moving with reasonable speed. She'd at least be partially covered by the large mushrooms while she rushed through them toward Chepis'quran. Better not to stand right next to him. The arrows, crossbow bolts, darts, flying stones, nasty spells and flying glass containers filled with alchemist's fire would probably hit him first.

Smiling at the irony of it, her fingertips brushed his shoulder. She quietly intoned, "Lend this pathetic creature a pair of eyes, he is the hand that does your will. Glorious Lolth, your Ebon Eyes are watching."
The Wizard may not notice the change, at first. She kept walking as if she hadn't noticed anything at all, pretending that she'd decided to move the entire group on a whim.Siinasaressa moves next to Chepis'quran. She uses her prepared spell, Ebon Eyes, on Chepis'quran. It should last 30 minutes.
Initiative: [roll0]Before, Siinasaressa asked Chepis'quran what the magical insignia was meant for. Was it solely to notify the Matron if they were dead, or could it perhaps explode like a fireball; was it a medium for the Matron to scry upon them or were there more devious tricks?

She believed things were not at face value. All the events surrounding this so-called Slaving patrol were suspicious. Composed of disfavoured and unusual individuals, it was a game to decide how long it took them to die.

Although she had been silent thus far, Chepis'quran comes to understand that she does not have faith in the Drow guards. The same can be said of the Duergar 'slaves'. As a favoured of Lolth, he would know that they can never be certain, even if they knew. Therein was Lolth's favour, and their only ally. Their destiny was beyond everyone, far more than Matron realized, and this was the nature of Lolth's Chaos.

Immediate Actions, AfterwardSiinasaressa will stay close to Chepis'quran, until she is able to act again, and use her Darkness spell-like ability. It will be centered on the Wizard.Siinasaressa knew the Duergar, she imagined they were already surrounded, and the Duergar patrols were about to pounce. Worthless watch group, the males should have seen them coming. If these were Duergar, they'd just made the patrol's job much easier.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
Siinasaressa will be moving the patrol in a direction that leads back toward Rognath, and believes the patrol is about to be ambushed. As a result, she does not want to go toward the direction of where she suspects Dwarf reinforcements will come from.

She has no intention of going another step in the direction of the cave, and thinks the males of the Matron's guard are in no position to disagree.

If the rustling proves not to be an ambush, she will continue moving back toward Rognath with the patrol. After she feels threat of attack is not so imminent, she will instruct everyone to find the source of that rustling, or try to find any Dwarf patrols in the area before the Slaving Patrol is found.

If no one ambushes the Drow, and the Drow find a Dwarf patrol, Siinasaressa will have the Matron's guards attack first. Then she will have Chepis'quran support them with magic, while Darky and Adinbryn attack. Berg'dorl can help Siinasaressa keep watch for trouble.

If no one attacks, if after doubling back we find no patrols, then we will proceed forward CAREFULLY. We will not be Driven forward by the Matron's Guards, who frankly, I'm sick and tired of listening to. If I get any more crap out of them, I'll feed them to Chepis'quran's pet skeleton.

Appearances mean nothing to Berg'dorl. His eyes still follow every movement this strange drow makes. He appears insane, but that doesn't mean he isn't dangerous. It's strange to see a lone drow wandering the Underdark.

Berg'dorl suspicions are only enhanced as Chepis'quran fiercly questions the new comer. Warily he makes his way toward Chepis'quran, ready to strike should the intruding drow prove to be dangerous.

The bolt flying from the Priestess was all the confirmation Berg'dorl needed. His rapier moved with deadly precision, as he brings the point to rest at the base of the drow's neck. His voice taking on a murderous tone, "Toss any arms you may possess, to the ground to your right. You will not speak, or offer any resistance to our commands. Anything else but complete compliance will result in your instant demise. If you understand this, slowly extend your arms out with your fingers splayed. "

The Priestess was half-crouched, daring anything to try to make her die; nothing killed she who was genuinely ambitious. She listened, she watched, looking from one part of the camp to the other. Only a fool tried to push a stubborn rothe. Her aim was not what it should be.

Both hands were out at her sides, one holding a hand-crossbow, the other palm down with fingers spread. Her feet were evenly spaced, her legs bent so that her knees seemed wanting to touch. Her torso was leaned forward, it made her chest feel heavier than it was. Life was in everything, in this lie she knew so well.

She was elated, and the only things to express that were her eyes, half-hidden by long silver-white hair. It framed her face, it tickled her sensitive skin, hid her gaze from sight, but made it harder to see.

Fear. Mystery. Danger. A gossamer lover carressing her face.

Lolth was contradictory sensations. Now she would be an assassin who danced at the edge of shadows.

She inclined her head at Berg'dorl. "That will be enough for now, Male."
Her eyes turned to either of the odd duo, sitting on the ground; Darky the Binder and Razhul the newcomer.
"A closed mouth, or an arrow in the throat. You will rest near the spring. What with all that talking, you may better soothe your parched throats. Berg'dorl, make sure they have their fill." It was an invitation to keep a pair of eyes on the enemies within the camp.

"Open your eyes," She called on Adinbryn, and pointed at Razhul. "and ensure that does not happen again. Or it will be your life."
Looking carefully at Chepis'quran, she was trying to decide whether it was a good idea to put him in a mood even worse than it was. She had a feeling that he felt, much as she did, this Drow was probably shoved forward by some brainless Dwarf.

She could imagine what they'd told him:

'You'll make them drop their guard, in return for your worthless skin.'

He was as dead as this patrol, if that plan worked. She would take first watch, and ensure that Adinbryn would, as well. "We leave when I have finished counting to two hundred."

They would find a different, more secluded place to camp. Something that was not so obvious as a spring, a place that could not be stumbled upon by an itinerant fool. If Razhul was a member of some doomed patrol, he would not say it yet. His worthless life was at risk, and he might yet save it.

He stood tall, as tall as most of the party, taller than most in fact. His eyes still burning a bright green and black energy crackled over his purple and gold form. His muscles bulged from underneath his robes. Dark blue veins standing out along the length of his arms and up his neck. It was obvious that barely contained urge to slay the weakling Drow was boiling underneath.
His skeleton minion moved silently beside him, scimitar and shield out and ready. The gleaming bright blade of the Scimitar glinted wickedly in the dull lights of the underground.

He spoke, his voice only barely above a whisper, slow, meaningful and dripping with dreaded purpose.
"This day you are lucky. Your mind tricks may have had some effect on the others, but they will do no such thing to me. I am a chosen of Lolth and barer of her arcane might. Were it not for the quick actions of the others you would be a corpse walking only under my command, assuming that they had not succeeded in slaying you first. Do not be cocky. It would be wise for you to heed to the words of our preistess of Lolth. You shall obey her with the courtesy and respect she deserves." He paused the unnatural glare of his eyes burning into the pathetic Drow in front of him. "I shall say no more to you until it is required of me, lest I slay you out of contempt." With that he rose and clicked his fingers , the undead warrior sheathed it's weapons and stowed it's shield somewhere in the dark folds of it's black rags. The black lightning and energy that had crackled about his body subsided and faded away. His eyes still burned with green fire and hatred however.

If there was someone watching, and they were canny, a clever time to attack would be when they found the new camp. That was naturally, assuming there was anyone there at all. She heard the Wizard whispering, but couldn't tell what he was saying. These words were for the newcomer alone, none of her business.

She searched amongst the mushrooms, listening, smelling, watching. Razhul might have somehow stumbled passed the entire Dwarf camp without anyone noticing. She sincerely doubted it. Drow patrols were as silent as they were lethal -- for the most part -- she thought with chagrin.

Ultimately, she decided they would not go far. When the time came to move...

The New CampSiinasaressa intends to have the group go not very far at all. They will move to an out of the way spot, quietly, and hide. She imagines that the Duergar, expecting them to go some distance, will not believe they did not go very far at all. When the Duergar move, if they are there, they will have exposed themselves and we can then throw spells, arrows, and pointy metals and rocks at them without having exerted ourselves.

We can move when everyone is rested. I suggest we proceed carefully and quietly toward the Dwarves.

If only someone would enforce a brutal discipline she was too busy for. She was getting annoyed with the newcomer already. Skirting around the edges of the camp, she grabbed Adinbryn discreetly, meaning to move to the cave with him. Together they could scout it, remain out-of-sight from the position of the old camp, with an excellent view of it.

The others could wait near the spring, making all the noise they wanted. If by chance, Berg'dorl disobeyed, or Chepis'quran came walking, she would take them too. The other pair was little better than bait, attracting all the predators with their endless banter like that.

She chose to forget her own battle cries, necessary commands, and the like. Relative silence was best.I can see this plan is transparent, as they would have heard us all talking. Darky will stand up immediately and rush over to stand close to the wizard and stare darkly into the face of Chepis'Quran with a deep scowl.

I find your lack of faith disturbing young Quran ooc:Skywalker Perhaps you don't care much for this drow but for some odd reason I do, I feel a kinship of some sort to him even if he feels nothing towards me. Several meters beside the mouth of the cave, Siinasaressa directed the Male (Adinbryn) to watch the interior, while she watched the camp. Every thirty minutes she would reverse their positions. She was busy thinking, doing her best to contemplate her situation, and the nature of the Slaving Patrol. When Berg'dorl arrived with a report, she was making excellent progress.

With a gentle nod, she received his words. They probably know we are here, which is not so bad as stumbling into an ambush.
Siinasaressa had no intention of moving until everyone was well-rested. She suspected that the odd ones had no idea where the new camp would be, if they wandered back, she would leave them to their own devices. Leading a Duergar patrol, part of a Kuo-toa death squad, turning out to be a hungry mind flayer and an easy meal...

"Sleep, Male. This is all the time you will have. Do not stray too far from this place when choosing your place of rest. She handed the (random soft item) back to whoever it belonged to, so they could brush the dirt off.

"It is time, we will proceed now." She said gently, to the nearest member of the patrol.
She set off in the direction of the Duergar encampment, expecting they would need to march for some time before they finally found it. If someone needed to stall, she could accomodate them.

Her own approach would be easygoing, quiet, and very attentive for whatever thing they ran into. It was best to remain hidden -- it was easier to ambush Duergar patrols that way.
She would give orders not to be seen, to be silent, and not to fire the first shot without provocation or command. Please make whatever applicable checks I may need. The Priestess flashed a few fast hand-signs to the others -- when Darky was not looking.Ensure that male walks very far behind the group.

With a small flourish, Berg'doral swiftly sheaths his rapier. Listening with mild interest at Darky's description of the what had transpired away from the group. Thinking to himself, He may be more of a threat then I thought. Still Berg'doral's eyes easily pick up the priestess instructions, responding quickly in kind. Berg'doral's hand briefly flashes, "Yes."

Turning to Darky, "I'm going to take the middle ground, the priestess is situatited in front. Would you mind taking the back watch? Perhaps you can use that useful invisibility to watch us unseen."

DM only spoiler

Bluff check, to see if I can convince him to go to the back.

Darky will take his fingers out of his ears and beam at Berg'doral kindly and nod vigorously. He'll then move to the back of the group continue to hum to himself but now turning invisible every now and then to the maximum of his ability.

OOC: Which means for the first 3 of every 5 rounds he is invisible.

He will still continue to skip and hum to himself but more quietly as if he understands that perhaps that is not the best course of action to take. He does move quickly though making sure not to lose the group ahead of him, staying approximately 20' behind Berg'doral. He will not talk for the remainder of the time, only humming and thinking to himself but who knows what.

as the group continues walking again, after running into that strange elf. You see a mushroom field about 800 feet in the distance

Siinasaressa

Siinasaressa signals a stop while the group is protected in an appropriate cover, and instructs everyone to watch and listen very carefully. Mushroom forests were excellent locations for archery ambushes.

After an appropriate period of watch, she orders the group to move from cover-to-cover, carefully forward.

Berg'dorl quickly executes the priestess orders. Moving carefully from mushroom to mushroom. He is acutely aware of the fact an ambush is likely. Keeping carefully observant of his surroundings.

Quickly he signals the priest silently. His hands flowing through a variety of positions, communicate to the priestess.

"There are others here. I can't tell how many, but at least one. Probably others. Orders?"

Hopefully I can get a little more information, direction and maybe if I can see them.

Darky understands that these orders make sense even if they did come from the priestess. He will rush to do them but taking a slower time then the rest, using his limited invisibility to his advantage and only running from cover to cover while invisible. He keeps his eyes and ears open for a sign of anything. He watches Berg'doral making hand movements.

He thinks I wonder what he's saying.

He will wait quietly in his position to watch Berg'doral's movements to see if he can find out what the plan is but until then will continue to be as aware of his surroundings as possible.

She gestures back to Berg'dorl, Protect your skin, shoot on sight. Force them into the open.

While preparing her crossbow, she intones quietly to Chepis'quran:

"The Male says they are very close. Work your magic, burn them out with a fireball."

Berg'doral nods briefly in response to the priestess' signals. Drawing his bow, he scours the area in between the massive mushrooms. Hoping that he would spot the enemy while remaining unseen.

Darky will notice Berg'doral's movement and follow him but keeping a hold on the invisibility until he comes up next to him. At the sight of the dwarves he will put a hand on Berg'doral's shoulder and mouth to him Wait for my strike then fire on the one to the left, I'll take the one to the right.

He will then turn invisible and sneak over to the appropriate dwarf and then swing as hard as possible taking steady aim at the unknowing dwarf.

OOC: Not sure if you would consider this a coup de grace if they are un-aware or not while I am this close taking the full round action to hit. If so apply the rules if not....well then you don't and that's fine

Siinasaressa

Siinasaressa inches forward enough to see the camp, staying still so she remains out of the fray. She watches, she listens, suspicious that these ones were meant to be bait -- or are in truth, illusory -- and that there are more waiting around the periphery for a counter attack.

She does not join in the attack, she observes it from a reasonable distance.

Center is the magic man, focus there I can handle the melee.
