Whether you like Tim Buckley or not, you have to admit that this is looking pretty prophetic. :smallwink:

it's ok, when i go i'm turning in an application to be deaths apprentice, many reasons i'd like a job like that, but mostly cause then i'd get to see what happens in the years after my death.

Do you know what happened to the last group that tried?

Here's a choice sample. One guy got killed by A VELOCIRAPTOR MADE OF SCISSORS!

These weren't amateurs either. We're talking the group that dropped the Hogfather.

Your best bet is to be very quiet and hope he goes for you last.

Give the prize to the guy who came up with it.

Terry Pratchett. Man knows how to write.

I don't remember a velociraptor made out of scissors... What book? And was it something to do with the goddess of Things That Get Stuck In Drawers?

Don't normally like Pratchett's works, but some of his one-liners really are excellent. Thanks for sharing.

Hogfather, apparently. The scissorman's not exactly a man, but not quite a bird.

It is, however, 100 percent terrifying.

Oh wait... That was one of those people's childhood fears, right? I remember now. Sort of.

They're informally known as "Veliscissoraptors."

Just saying.Although the thread went in a way more interesting direction. It's more like a train leaving the track to soar above the clouds.

Current estimates at roughly 6.7 billion.

But, you know, things always cost more than you think they will.

GrandMasterMe
2009-07-05, 10:57 PM
Hmmmm. So we have 6.7 billion times to get it right before death wins?

That's because it involves Ctrl+Alt+Del. Just sayin'.

But note how CAD is being completely ignored...you are suggesting it has some mystical chaotic effect on those present, like the One Ring?
