Well there is a possibility that i might have to run one in the near future and i was wondering about a few things. Firstly how do you know when you have enough encounters and stuff like that to take up most of the session? Secondly how do you handle treasure, do i just ignore and give the party nothing? And lastly do you playgrounders have any good ideas for one shot adventures?

This will be for 3.5 DnD. And the party will be right around level 11. But no one can cast 5th level spells, we converted this party from 2nd ed. And we just need to fill up a session real quick. It wont have any influence in the current campaign or anything like that. It's just that one player wont be able to make it to this one fight which is going to be awesome. (The fortress of the Hill Giants, we are about to crash the party).
