View Full Version : STR to Hit Points feat?

2009-07-04, 01:00 AM
I'm in the midst of character creation and I vaguely recall a way to apply STR to one's HP in D&D 3.5, but I don't know the name of the feat or the book in which to find it. Can anyone suggest the correct book or a means of finding this or pertinent info? I had the link to an online collection of feats categorized by ability substitution properties (feats that reduce MAD), but it's gone missing.

Thanks for any help.

I think the feat was called "Abs of Steel".

Just on the same note Mind over Body applies INT to HP.

However I cannot find this "Abs of Steel" feat myself. lol.

He might be joking.

I think he may be. lol

I cannot find any feat that gives STR to HP.
Are you sure it wasn't a prestige class, class feature?
I've done that more than a few times. :(

It might be from a PrC. I'll keep looking and report back if I find that repository of feats.

The X Stat to Y Bonus (http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=320889) thread is your friend. Learn it. Use it. Love it.

As it turns out, according to said thread, there is no way to apply Str to your HP. There are feats/abilities to use Int, Wis, and Cha, but none for Str.

Try the X stat to Y bonus thread. I don't sere what you're looking for though.

EDIT: Ninja'ed!

I don't think that you even get the highest of Str or Con to your hit points in 4E. Which is weird, since all of the other major derived stats seem to work that way. Isn't everyone supposed to get three dump stats? Ah, well, that's what house rules are for.

GURPS, incidentally, uses Strength-based hit points. But losing HP specifically represents real injury in GURPS, so there ya go.

Do note that Mind Over Body is only for 1st level. What you would want is Fairy Mysteries Initiate, but that involves being an Elf, and some sort of squicky interactions with fairies...

Could be worse, could be Lichloved...
