When the fiends get control over V, does anyone think they will give V some more soul splices to help them to make V more powerful.

Unlikely. Our writer doesn't go in much for repeats, and so we are unlikely to see any more splices in any case.

Our theory is that V is to be the key in the door, and you don't need much power for that.

Why would they? The fiends said they already got enough from him.

Maybe the souls of
SoD spoilers
Dorukon and Lirian

could be used in some kind of good aligned soul splice?

There are some very funny (and some quite stylish) Good Soul Splice pics over in the Arts and Crafts threat, on "Evil OOTS" thread.

If the Order interrupts Redcloak and Xykon attempting to take over the gate, the fiends could make V jump into the matrix and take it over from the inside. It probably wouldn't take much magical energy to tip control to the fiends.

SoD spoiler.
Xykon probably still has them in his soul-hidey-place black gem.

Didn't Xykon keep the black gem with him after binding their souls to it? If so, then it was probably destroyed along with his body when Roy threw him against Durokan's Gate.

Considering that Xykon still had Durokan's headband to cast cloister, the default assumption is that he also still possesses the soul gem

Chekov's Gun doesn't get melted down offstage unfired and unmentioned.

Less glibly, Rich introduced it for a reason. Whatever that reason may be, having it simply cease to exist and not even mentioning that it no longer exists would serve no narrative function at all.

Hmmmmm.....

There might be a second soul splice.

The three fiends.

With V not in control this time.

That's less a "splice" and more like "possession." :smalltongue:

Semantics.

...and since one of the fiends is a devil....
