Allright, here is the thread.

Plain, basic arena? 100ft by 100ft?

Daily buffs, plus 4 rounds of buffing?

Talic
2009-07-09, 12:37 AM
Daily Buffs, + 1 round buffing.

4 rounds is for pansy wusses that need a ton of magic shields.

As for basic? You refer to no features at all?

Olo Demonsbane
2009-07-09, 12:38 AM
My character is a pansy wuss. How about 3?

That was my intention, yes...

Talic
2009-07-09, 12:41 AM
How bout 0? One round, no more. I'm fine with no buffs, no rounds. The 1 round and daily is a concession.

Talic
2009-07-09, 12:42 AM
Oh, and no featureless arena. Gimme a sec, I'll pull something suitable up.

Olo Demonsbane
2009-07-09, 12:46 AM
:smallannoyed: Ok, whatever :smallmad:

Buffs Daily: Greater Mage Armor, Greater Resistance, Greater Magic Weapon
1 round: Greater Invisibility

Initiative: [roll0]

Picky, picky, arent we? :smalltongue:

Talic
2009-07-09, 12:50 AM
Featureless arenas with long buff time are Caster-biased.

I don't plan on hiding, but I do want some terrain, to make it actually strategy based.

Olo Demonsbane
2009-07-09, 12:51 AM
But...But...But...Im not even really a caster!

Gish-lite I beleive is the proper term, :smalltongue:

EDIT: Good, I did not want to face Stealty McNinja v2 :smalleek:

Talic
2009-07-09, 12:56 AM
No, I'm a physical beatstick, with a minor in Psychic power. Though my stealthy mcninja was able to hide with no cover, concealment, or shadows.

Olo Demonsbane
2009-07-09, 12:57 AM
I know, I watched that fight...

Oooh...wait, damn it...King of Smack? :smalleek:

EDIT: Maybe Im being too paranoid...

Talic
2009-07-09, 01:00 AM
No, no, I've only got 4 levels in PsyWar.

Olo Demonsbane
2009-07-09, 01:01 AM
Whew...should we just use Saph's map? The one with the 4 collums?

Talic
2009-07-09, 01:09 AM
Screw it, let's go featureless, if we're both gish types. 90 feet away from one another?

Olo Demonsbane
2009-07-09, 01:11 AM
90ft? Ok, I guess...

Post your buffs and your initiative...if you have a chance of beating 32.

Talic
2009-07-09, 01:25 AM
Darkvision, currently. You?

Olo Demonsbane
2009-07-09, 01:25 AM
Standard.

Okay, you see nothing.

What do I see?

Talic
2009-07-09, 01:27 AM
Nothing. :) Tell me when you see invisibility ;)

Olo Demonsbane
2009-07-09, 01:28 AM
Okay, on my turn, Izzy casts See Invisibility.

Then she moves to S6

See anything now?

EDIT: You ninja edited me :smalltongue:

End Turn, after you tell me what I see.

Talic
2009-07-09, 01:34 AM
You see a massive beast, occupying A13-B14. Wearing nothing more than a loincloth, he appears as if he'd stand 10 feet tall, were he standing straight... However, he's hunched, knuckles almost scraping the ground. His back appears horribly misshapen, spine bones nearly protruding from the back, skin discolored all the way down, a sickly bluish shade... Around the edges of the disturbing spine alteration, it appears that a very skillful hand performed some stitching. He's got something tiny in his hand, about the size of a large die.

EDIT: My turn.

Standard: Manifest Expansion, Augmented to increase size by two Categories.
I now occupy A12-D15, and have a natural reach of 20 feet.

Swift: Activate scout's headband, 3 charges. Gain True Seeing. What do I see? (Not done)

Olo Demonsbane
2009-07-09, 01:36 AM
Uh oh, that doesnt look good...

Talic
2009-07-09, 01:39 AM
I now have a true seeing effect. What do I see?

EDIT: Incidentally, I'm a half ogre with a back graft (illithid graft).

Olo Demonsbane
2009-07-09, 01:41 AM
In S6, you see a small female figure with red hair, clutching a glowing rapier. She curses as she feels your gaze upon her.

Talic
2009-07-09, 01:43 AM
Move: To E8-H11, Drawing a glowing Javelin as I go.

Current Size Category: Gargantuan

Done.

Olo Demonsbane
2009-07-09, 01:58 AM
Stepping forward, Izzy is covered in shadows and disappears...

Shadow Stride

...only reappearing right next to you and darting through your legs.

Acrobatic backstab

Tumble [roll0] vs DC 25.

She raises back her arm and thrusts her rapier at you as it glows with blue-black light.

Five-Shadow Ice Creeping Enervation Strike with a sneak attack.

Attack vs Flat-footed (assuming success on the tumble) AC with a Brilliant energy weapon.

Attack [roll1]
Damage [roll2]
Extra Damage [roll3]
Sneak Attack [roll4]

Extra Effect:
[roll5]
1-7Make a DC 18 Fortitude save. If you succeed you only take half of the ability damage and negate the special effect:
[roll6] Dexterity damage.
Special Effect: Speed is reduced to 0ft.
8-14Make a DC 18 Fortitude save. If you succeed you only take half of the ability damage and negate the special effect:
[roll7] Strength damage.
Special Effect: -6 penalty to attack rolls and Concentration checks.
15-20Make a DC 18 Fortitude save. If you succeed you only take half of the ability damage and negate the special effect:
[roll8] Dexterity damage.
[roll9] Strength damage.
Special Effect: [roll10] Constitution damage

Then Izzy focuses her mind for a second.

Recover Five-Shadow Creeping Ice Enervation Strike with Sudden Recovery

End Turn.

Sorry that took so long, it was a lot to type out.

Talic

Fort Save: [roll0]

Sneak attack does not happen. I retain my dex to AC when flat-footed.

Though I have to wonder how you have a 9th level maneuver at Character level 13. Normally, you'd have to be character level 17 to even look at that.

Olo Demonsbane
2009-07-09, 02:03 AM
Items items items I love items...

Ouch, that cuts down on the damage...

EDIT: You take 70 damage and 5 Dexterity damage. Or is it 4? I can never remember...

EDIT2: New Oots comic!

Talic
2009-07-09, 02:08 AM
Move: The cube expands to become an iron block about 3 feet across on all sides.
Standard: Ready an Action (no peeking): 20 foot teleport if I'm attacked

Done.

Edit: It's 4. I didn't save to reduce damage by half, I saved to reduce damage to half. And halves are rounded down.

After the fight, I'ma wanna know how you're getting a 9th level maneuver tho.

Olo Demonsbane
2009-07-09, 02:14 AM
DamnitdamnitdamnitIhateHulkingHurlers....

Izzy attempts to stab you, her blade glowing with the same energy as before.

Attack with Brilliant energy [roll0]
Damage [roll1]
Extra Damage [roll2]

Make a DC 18 fortitude save:
[roll3]
1-7:[roll4] Dexterity damage, + speed 0ft
8-14:[roll5] Strength damage, + speed 0ft
15-20:[roll6] Dexterity damage, [roll7] Strength damage, + [roll8] Constitution damage.

End Turn.

EDIT: I get it through an item. Shadow Hands of Five-Shadow Creeping Ice Enervation Strike. Cost: 45,000 gp. Requires 5 Shadow hand maneuvers though.

Talic
2009-07-09, 02:16 AM
Ready action Triggers. I teleport, just before the attack lands, appearing 20 feet away from you.

Your attack then misses. Continue.

Olo Demonsbane
2009-07-09, 02:19 AM
Ah well, probably wouldnt have hit anyway...

Izzy takes a move action 30ft directly away from you.

EDIT: Nevermind, End turn.

Talic
2009-07-09, 02:27 AM
Edit: That not moving thing's a good idea, lol. I still threaten you. Melee block clobber would have been fun.

Free: Drop Javelin
Bloodstorm Blade Swift Action: Thunderous Throw (losing a maneuver - Steely Strike) - This attack is considered a melee attack.
Also, Lightning Ricochet. The weapon will return to my hand right after it hits (or misses), allowing for a full attack with the weapon.

First Attack: [roll0]
If hit: [roll1]
If threat: [roll2]
If Crit: [roll3]

Second Attack: [roll4]
If hit: [roll5]
If threat: [roll6]

Told you I hated Hulking Hurlers :smalleek:

Good Night, I am dead.

Talic
2009-07-09, 02:30 AM
Now, about that maneuver? How the heck ya do that? I'm trying to figure it out.

Olo Demonsbane
2009-07-09, 11:48 AM
Its actually really simple. You know the magic items at the back of Tome of Battle? I bought one. I already met the prerequisites, so...

It was 45,000.
