V's complexity and simmering temper clearly makes him a soup. Soup is the more intelligent choice and that's what V is all about. His thoughts practically boil over, again a very soupish trait. I thought it would be important to get this settled.

Lets get the Mindfl squid thingy back and ask him.

Obviously he's a salad.

He recently exhibited tactical reasoning resembling stale croutons (old, bland, and easily crushed).
He has shown grace under pressure resembling iceberg lettuce (thin, flaky, and easily torn).
He is regarded by many as resembling spinach (using V is good for them, but it leaves a bad taste in their mouths).
His spells resemble cherry tomatoes (bright, flashy spells that are eaten in one bite) rather than a good soup (long-lasting spells that are savored).
His vocabulary resembles feta cheese (huge mouthfuls scattered all over at every opportunity).
His hair resembles purple onions topping a salad.
He has a Soul Splice vinaigrette poured all over him and oozing into every fiber of his being--you can try to scrape it off your salad, but it's still soaked in pretty well.

All in all, definitely a salad.

Intelligent choices ... really? Are we reading the same comic?

If soup is the intelligent choice, then V is salad.

Unusual tasting and difficult to identify what kind of apple it is.

I'm starting to think that there are fewer things that we do know about V than things we don't. Gender? Alignment? Reasons for adopting children? Soup/salad? etc. Maybe V is a thin vegetable soup with many large chunks or a salad with so much dressing, it's served in a bowl.

Nurture. Both V's parents are/were rangers, and it was Aarinadrius' influence that led V to being an antisocial nerd geek wizard.

With regards to chocolate: dark, milk or white?

Dark. V only uses the purest components in her spells, and her Burning Molten Chocolate spell would require dark chocolate and not milk. Furthermore, white chocolate isn't even chocolate per se, but made from cocoa butter.

Poker or Blackjack?

While V would be loathe to play a game of pure chance rather than one of logic and strategy, he would choose poker, because the possible combinations are more numerous. Furthermore, nobody could tell if he was bluffing.

V: Champagne or orange juice ?

V drinks fine elven wine in an average Azurite bar. Definately the sort with more refined tastes than mere orange juice (unless it turns out that the pulp floating in the glass configures a pattern which grants Ultimate Arcane Power).

Life sir, is a continual series of soup or salad questions, each more relevant than 'what's the elf got in it's pants?' The only real question is: Is the gender question a soup or salad question?

Also, nonfiction. If V can't be bothered to be interested in the fictional narrative around V's own life (which it seems most every creature in the OttS universe is aware of) I doubt that any other fiction can engage V's interest.

V: Gondor or Rohan?

Gondor. Rohan is the up-and-coming, still youthful power. Gondor is the more stagnant one. On the other hand, Rohan has flashy cavalry charges. On the third hand, I can't help but draw similarities between the assault on Minas Tirith and the assault on Azure City.

Until that Familicide spell, I would say V was balancing the two quite well. Now, I would put V as heavily skewed to the Yin, but actively working on their Yang.

Sanguine: cheerfully optimistic, hopeful, or confident.
Phlegmatic: not easily excited to action or display of emotion; apathetic; sluggish.

Seeing as I see V as "independent, decisive, and goal oriented", I'd peg him more as choleric.

Melancholic doesn't really fit.

Dreamworks, mainly because of How to Train Your Dragon.

It's a little known fact that the heat from fireballs originates in the legs. Therefore an evoker needs good ventilation down there which leg warmers deny. So socks. Short ones - which we will never see.
