Grunting and straining, Beleg hauled himself to the top of the mountain, the final obstacle to be overcome before he reached the Temple of the Disciplines, where the mystical artefact he sought was kept. He entered the cave he found on the top and, treading carefully, worked his way to the artefact at the back of the cave.

"This is too easy!" he thought as he reached to take the artefact off the pedestal upon which it rested.

Suddenly, a voice inside his head said, "Friend, please refrain from stealing our artefact." Chalking the voice up to some magic in the artefact, he reached out again to grasp it. Again, the voice spoke, "Friend, you don't want to take our artefact." Again, Beleg ignored the voice. Finally, as he reached up again, the voice commanded, "PUT THAT DOWN NOW!" Beleg felt powerless to resist and dropped the artefact. It was only then that he saw the tiny man sitting on a worn mat, meditating with his back to Beleg.

The Seeker of Kaivalya follows a disciplined path of meditation and exercise aimed at realizing the spirituality inherent in humanity. His discipline and insight allow him to influence those around him, eventually coming to control their actions.

Class Features
Monk Abilities – Beginning at first level and continuing at every odd level, a Seeker of Kaivalya gains increased power and endurance. The Seeker of Kaivalia’s unarmed strike damage, armor class bonus, and unarmored speed increase as if he/she had gained a level of monk.

Discipline of the Breath of Fire – Beginning at first level, a Seeker of Kaivalya can imbue his/her body with an aura of fire by making a successful DC 10 + character level Concentration check. At first level, any opponent within 20 feet of the Seeker of Kaivalya must make a DC 15 + the Seeker’s Wisdom modifier Fortitude save or be dazzled for 1 round per class level. At fifth level, any opponent affected by the Seeker’s Discipline of the Breath of Fire ability becomes dazed for 1 round and dazzled for 1 round per class level. At ninth level, any opponent affected by the Seeker’s Discipline of the Breath of Fire ability becomes stunned for 1 round and dazzled for 1 round per class level. Remaining farther than 20 feet of the Seeker of Kaivalya for 1 round automatically ends this effect.

Discipline of the Rising Breath – Beginning at fourth level, the Seeker of Kaivalya’s mobility is enhanced. The Seeker walks between 1 inch and 1 foot above any terrain, and is treated as if he/she had the Flawless Stride class ability. However, unlike the Flawless Stride ability, Discipline of the Rising Breath also allows the Seeker to walk above liquids (water, lava, etc). Additionally, beginning at eighth level, the Seeker may use the spell dimension door twice per day.

Discipline of the Body’s Fluidity – Beginning at third level, the Seeker of Kaivalya’s advanced understanding of the nature of humanity enables him/her to separate his/her spirit from his/her body and influence the actions of others. A number of times per day equal to ½ his/her class level, the Seeker may make a concentration check to attempt to influence the behavior of any single humanoid within 60 feet. If unwilling, the target may make a Will save of a DC equal to the Seeker’s Concentration check to resist the effect. If the target’s save is unsuccessful, he/she behaves as if under the influence of a Charm Person spell

Establishing this control requires a Concentration check and takes full-round action that provokes an attack of opportunity. The Seeker may accept a -10 penalty to the Concentration check to establish control without provoking an attack of opportunity. Once control is established, the Seeker may direct the subject within the limits allowed by the effects of the spell as a free action. Maintaining control requires a standard action, and the Seeker may only move at ½ speed while concentrating on this ability. If the Seeker is damaged while controlling a subject, he/she must make a Concentration check DC 15 + damage dealt or lose control.

Beginning at sixth level, the Seeker’s Discipline of the Body’s Fluidity ability mimics the Suggestion spell. Beginning at tenth level, the Discipline of the Body’s Fluidity ability mimics the Dominate Person spell.

This PrC is based on the powers attributed to Yogi's in Patanjali's Yoga Sutra. I'd appreciate any comments, espcially on the wording of the abilities, the PrC's balance, and any improvements you can suggest that would make it more interesting.

Thanks,

Descriptions of what the powers actually do would be nice.
