"Hi, Rin." Mio brightened up a bit, but was still a bit tense and nervous.

"Hey! I meant to do that!" Boyfriend Tiger got to his feet. "I'm coming in there, and there is nothing you can do to stop me!"

Atsuko smiled at Amelia as they went about cataloging everything in the kitchen.

"Hey Mio."
Rin gives the girl a tired, but fond smile.
"How'd your day go? You feeling a little better?"

"So, is this everything?" Amelia said as they finished with the shelves that she had been helping go through.

Mio smiled at Rin. "...a little." Mio glanced at Mary with an expression that said, "please don't say anything."

Atsuko smiled benevolently at Amelia. "Looks like it. thank you for helping me out!"

"A-anytime!" Amelia said cheerfully, bowing respectfully and turning to head out to the main room. She ends up kind of hover/orbiting around the couch, trying to see what's up.

Mary catches Mio's glance and doesn't say anything about that, she turns back to Rin, "Good that you weren't attacked by a vampire?"

Amelia turned to see who was behind her, and flashed a quick smile at Shizuka when she saw who it was. She quietly reached out and took ahold of one of her hands, giving it an affectionate squeeze, and then shifting a little bit so that their hands were hidden from the people on the couch.

"Why do you need to come in here? I can tell you that we are no longer together from all the way up here."

Rin

"Oh. Yeah..."
Rin seems a bit out of it as she rubs her eyes, trying to cope with the dust and her fatigue.

Is that your boyfriend?! I wanna see!

Harumi creeps closer to the window, very curious.

"Don't please. He is acting weird. I am not sure what he will do. Besides you don't need to give him any proof that you are my girlfriend."

Mio's self concern fell away as she stood up. "U-um, Rin? Are you okay?"

Shizuka squeezed Amelia's hand in kind and smiled, then looked at the couch scene.

"I'm here to take you on a date! Just like old times!" Boyfriend began taking steps back, clearly about to make another running leap at the window.

Apple sighs.

"Don't bother. I will come down."

Apple jumps out of the window.

"I'm fine, just tired."
She smiles reassuringly at Mio.

Harumi opens her mouth to say something but doesn't react in time. She frowns and creeps up to the window and peeks out to see what's going on.

Rin slowly gives a nod, and lies down on the couch, not wanting to move elsewhere.

"Heck no!" Boyfriend Tiger (can he please get a name?) Smiled at Apple. "Come on, I've got a hot date lined up for us!" He dashes off, still carrying Apple.

Rin sneaks out a hand to take Mio's, trying to make it subtle as she rests on the couch.

Mars Bar is caught off guard by the sudden appearance of Harumi and is kicked in the face, dropping Apple!

"What the... boyfriend!?!" Mars looked at Apple. "...well, boy or girl, I still love you and you're still mine!" He looked to Harumi. "Another one... oh my god, you have a harem, don't you? Well, I'll just have to kill them all, then!"

"I was doing some English homework." Tsukiko sat down on her bed.

Mary nods and sits down on the bed, "Perhaps I can help... or at least tell you not what to do!" She blushes, remembering her faux pas the first day in English class.

You're not going to kill anyone, squeaks Harumi furiously. Apple doesn't belong to you or anyone else. She loves and is loved. She chooses her own path and doesn't let anything keep her from what she desires. That's how she won my heart. And that's why I'll never let her go.

She waves her puny fists. If you don't leave her alone, then I will destroy you!

Tsukiko smiled. "Noriko helped me a bit, before she left."

Mars was so intent on Harumi that he left himself open when Apple suddenly stepped in. He growled as he was blown back by the shot. "You can't protect them all, Apple! Sooner or later one of your cubs will be left out in the open, and then I will strike!"

"You will never get her. If you even try I will never forgive you, Mars. Don't you want to at least stay friends?"

Mary smiles, "I hope that whatever we do, we can all be friends. You, me, Noriko. So, is there anything you guys didn't cover that you need to go over." She looks for the English book.

"You're just confused. Once I get rid of these petty distractions, you'll realize that you still love me, Apple! I mean, seriously, you can't really be in love with these inferior beings!"

Harumi gets a dreamy look in her eye and her cheeks redden. Apple-Senpai, she murmurs.

"Listen to her for once, she says, with less agitation now. You lost her because you didn't listen to her and left against her wishes. And now you're doing it again. Don't you think its time to learn from your mistakes?

"I don't need your petty talk. I have a will, and I will see it enacted! And it is my will for Apple to be mine!"

Amelia watched as the crowd around the couch dispersed a little bit, then did a little half-spin so that now Shizuka's arm wrapped around her as they held hands. "And that reminds me, how are you doing in Biology?" She asked quietly, trying not to Disturb Rin, Mio, or Ume. "It's not exactly my top priority these days."

Mary leans back on the bed, "So... is there anything else you might want to do this evening?" She smiles.

Shizuka frowned a little bit. "Not as well as I could be, but I'm not failing or anything."

Tsukiko looked at Mary seriously. "..I don't know, Mary. I can barely do my schoolwork with this thing hanging over my head. I wish I could be as at ease with it as you are."

Shizuka nodded to Amelia. "Okay, but you better not just be looking for an excuse to get into my room, because I really need the help!" She smiled teasingly at Amelia.

Harumi crosses her arms. I guess there's nothing else to say then. Get out of here, meanie!

"No, I really mean it!" Amelia said, her face flushing a little bit. She tugged Shizuka's arm in the direction of her room. "I mean, we just can't ignore classes, right?"


Besides, if that was my plan I'd take you to my room. Amelia's face got a little bit redder and she shook her head, trying to refocus her thoughts.

Apple starts to walk back towards the door into the dorm.

Rin gives a small smile, then glances around to see if anyone is watching.

Amelia plopped herself onto a spare chair, or onto the bed, or anyplace that was close to where Shizuka set up her Biology materials to start studying, swinging her legs idly while Shizuka got set up. "All right, I think I can help with some of this..." she said as she leaned over to help highlight certain points and concepts from the book.

Mary nods, "Let's walk outisde then... it's a little more private." Walking out on the campus a short while later, Mary looks at Noriko, "So... Tsukiko said you guys talked... may I ask what you talked about?"

Noriko looked a bit uncomfortable. "About you and me and her."

Mary nods, "I'm sorry if this makes you uncomfortable... I'm trying to understand myself where all this should go." She looks at Noriko, "Do you mind telling me about this?"

"No, I don't mind." She looks scared, though.

Mary sits down on a bench and pats the bench next to her, "Here, sit down Noriko... tell me why you're scared." She looks concerned.

Noriko sat down. "Because you might not want to be with me anymore."

Mary frowns, "I don't... understand. If we are to be together, that's a relationship that requires trust. Talk to me and tell me why I would be upset with you... did you and Tsukiko do more than just talking? Or did you two talk about something you think would upset me?"

"No. I mean, Tsukiko and I talked about what you'd talked about together. About you staying with her, and just... letting me go."

Mary sighs, "It's difficult, Noriko. Relationships are difficult... I feel strongly about being with Tsukiko, but I don't want to hurt you, and I don't want to hurt her either. It's hard enough going against what most people expect and having a relationship between two women... but three is even more unconventional. Tsukiko isn't sure that it would work... and she's confused about what to do. So am I. You probably are too."

"A little bit." Noriko hung her head a bit.

Mary nods, "I don't know what is right or wrong here... but I do know there are people I care about who I don't want to be hurt. I care about Tsukiko, but she doesn't think she and I can be together til she figures out this whole thing, that's why I'm unhappy. I care about you, but it's probably best that we don't express any more such feelings because everyone is already confused."

Noriko sighed a little bit, her shoulders slumping. "Okay."

Mary puts her arm around Noriko's shoulder, "It's okay, Noriko... I'm not happy right now, Tsukiko's not happy, you're not happy... but maybe soon we'll all find a place where we are... okay?"

Mars is successful at yanking Apple outside, effortlessly jerking her out the door. He ignores Harumi on his back and Apple's teeth sinking into his hand.

Mary nods, "I'm sorry, Noriko... I'm just not very good with this..." She sits on the bench for a while, sulking... feeling sorry for herself.

"No problem. I"m sure you'll do well." Amelia said, smiling at Shizuka. She leaned in and gave Shizuka a chaste peck on the cheek. "I'll see you tomorrow, all right? I've got some studying of my own to do now." Amelia hopped off of her seat and headed back to her own room. Once there she assembled a giant pile of her more occultish books on her desk and started working through them, looking about the nature of pacts, bindings, and how to break them or various known loopholes.

Apple releases his arm. She starts crying from the pain.

Mars leans in close and tries to lick up Apple's tears. "See? Tears of joy! You do love me!" Crazy, creepy delusional tiger man alien thing.

When she sees what Mars is doing to Apple, her eyes start glistening as well. H-how could you ask me to just leave you Apple? She doesn't know what else to do though, she's tried her hardest and he still hasn't given up. She desperately wishes there was something she could do to help Apple.

Apple tries to transform in hopes that he will let go. No one likes to hold a tiger after all.

Being a tiger alien himself, he shapeshifts with her and tries to take her neck loosely in his jaws and drag her long like that.

Fortunately, when Harumi rushes in she immediately sees the most competent, trustworthy person she knows - Ume. She's sobbing now, for the first time since her mother died and she rushes over to her.

What's wrong? Did a convention get canceled or something? Ume asks with concern. Then she realizes that such a thing would result in her cutting herself, so it might be something more minor, like relationships.

Mary gets up from her bench by the lake and starts walking back to the dorm. She pauses when she sees a large tiger dragging another tiger directly toward her. In her moment of stress she channels Kurt Russell. "You've got to be f***ing kidding me!"

No! Harumi cries hysterically. It's Apple! He grabbed and she started crying and now he's dragging her away and I don't know what to do!

Mars Tiger continues to try and drag Apple Tiger off, ignoring inferior humanoid species Mary.

Mary steps in the tiger's way, "Okay, adult tigers don't do this sort of behavior with each other. So, something else is going on. We've already got one shapeshifter in the dorm... why not two... or more. Which of my friends are you trying to carry off?"

Ume's eyes widen. Who's "he"? She asks, concerned.

"Mary it is me, Apple. Help me!"

Mary nods, "Okay... whomever you are. Let go of Apple now!" She does a leap and comes down on the back of the male tiger, striking with her foot as she backflips to one side.

Her mean dummy ex-boyfriend! He's hurting her and he dragged her off! Help her please!

Between the two of them, Apple and Mary manage to get Mars off of Apple. He backed off a bit and growled, low in his throat. "Ah. Another one. How delightful."

Mary chuckles, "If by that you think you are going to scare me off or beat me... I don't think so!" She catches the tiger's gaze and faces him off in a mental duel to put him off or convince him that he can't possibly beat her.

Ume relaxes a bit, it wasn't who she was thinking of. That troublesome vampire. Where was she being taken?

He dragged her away just now,, shrieks Harumi hysterically. Will you please help her?!

Ume nods. Lead the way.

Harumi is still sniffling but she's glad she has a friend as good as Ume. She grabs Ume's hand and rushes back to where she last saw Mars' and Apple, running in the direction they were headed if she doesn't immediately see them.

Mars growled at her. "No, I'm going to eat you." Still he merely paced around her, circling Apple and Mary.

Mary laughs, "I've faced demons and vampires... you think a talking tiger is going to faze me?" She assumes a defensive stance staying between him and Apple, and will be ready to turn his next attack against him.

Harumi dashes onto the scene.

No eating people, she squeaks as she runs behind Mars and pulls on his tail.

When his tail, is pulled, the tiger flips the heck out, leaping forward and slamming into Mary with his front paws, pinning her to the ground and driving the air from her lungs. His crushing weight is pressing down frightfully hard on her ribs. Harumi set flying and lands somewhere, bruised and aching.

Rin blinks a little, waking up and looking around, blinking a bit as she wonders where Ume got to.

Mary flips back up to her feet and goes over to put her foot against the downed tiger's throat. "Surrender, big guy?"

Harumi stumbles over to Tiger-Apple despite her injury. She's afraid of hurting her even more, but she finds she can't stand anymore so she puts her arms around Apple's neck and slumps weakly against her.

Are you hurt? Did I... do alright?

Apple collapses to the ground, careful not to disturb Harumi much. She covers her face with her paws.

Now everyone knows my secret. I will have to leave.

Harumi

Harumi seems to understand what Apple is thinking. She climbs on Apple's back and whispers into her ear. Just run. Run away with me and they won't know that it's you.

Apple

"It is too late. Mary knows. I had to tell her so she would help me."

Harumi

Let's just tell her that you're Canadian then.

"Face it this is over. I am going to have to go back to my planet."

Harumi slumps down and then falls to her knees. I'm sorry. I wasn't strong enough, I couldn't protect you on my own. I'm so sorry... please don't leave me.
