Does Monk's Belt grant you the benefit of Improved Unarmed Strike?

(Non-Monk character)

RAW specifies only unarmed damage and AC bonus. It wouldn't be an unreasonable house rule if you wanted though.

"If the character is not a monk, she gains the AC and unarmed damage of a 5th-level monk."

"Unarmed Damage" is given as a column in the Monk's class table. Improved Unarmed Strike is granted as a bonus feat under the "Unarmed Strike" class feature. So, no - strictly speaking you get the damage boost but you still provoke AoOs and deal non-lethal damage. But as mentioned, it's not a big deal to houserule.

I think you're looking for the Fanged Ring (Dragon Magic, page 101) which grants Improved Unarmed Strike, and Improved Natural Attack (Unarmed Strike).

If you just want Improved Unarmed Strike to go along with your Monk's Belt, the cheapest item granting that feat is Bracers of Striking (Magic of Faerūn); only 1,310 gp.
