Er, that's impossible. Sorcerers never get access to "pretty much every basic spell available." That's the trade-off: no need to prepare spell slots, and more spells-per-day than a Wizard, but only a small pool of known spells to cast from.

Anyway, I'd probably be a Wizard of some sort. Abjuration or Transmutation specialist, perhaps. Or Green Lantern, per Haven's post :smallwink: .

I would be Aarindarius. Aarindarius is awesome and I have the right bookish personality to enjoy being a wizard.

If I'm not allowed to be Aarindarius (or if future revelations make the choice undesirable) I'd like to be an elven wizard (Elven Generalist variant, to be specific). It's not about optimization; it's about that elves and wizards are both awesome and become more awesome when combined.

She is my inspiration and my Muse as a creator of villains, so I would have to be Haera Bloodsoak.

There's no evidence that Lupins or Phanatons exist in OotS world and, while there's evidence of Gnolls from when Nale was dating Haley, they are probably there solely to serve as cannon fodder for adventurers so they aren't really a practical option. Due to a lack of furry races in general, I'd probably go with Halfling beause they are the only Core race I really like, and if I was one I'd have an excuse to never have to wear shoes. As far as class went, I'd want to be a Cleric or Druid above anything else, but Wizard or Sorcerer would be fun as well (assuming I was able to take PC class levels).

EDIT: Now that I think about it, if the Neutral Good afterlife is the same as it is in normal D&D, being a Moon Dog, Musteval or Lupinal would be good.

Practically speaking, I would probably arrive as myself, a mid-level Expert with no combat abilities, and, if I retained my knowledge from this world, my immediate (and probably sole, for the duration of the comic) priority would be staying out of the way of the plot.
If I got to exert some amount of control over what I arrived as but was still basically myself, I don't really know what I'd be or what I'd do. Making up something fun, though...
I'd be a Great Wyrm blue dragon (or shadow dragon, if those exist in the universe). Recently given an...assignment...by Tiamat. I'd go visit the Oracle and ask the question, "How, without it backlashing on me or any other dragon, can I make Vaarsuvius deeply regret everything from killing any dragons, to ever becoming an adventurer, to being born?"

Likely a young bronze dragon, living in a city disguised as a dwarf. My hoard would lean strongly toward rare books and art from distant places, and I'd only get involved in doing good things via proxies like adventurers since I don't like to be bothered directly unless it can't be helped. Mostly, though, adventurers would be a way for me to acquire unusual things for my collection, and make contact with distant but interesting intellectuals with whom I could correspond voluminously, since I wouldn't travel outside of my city.

If I could choose, I'd be, from SoD,

Right-Eye. Unfortunately, while I love the OOtS series, I've never really been able to empathize with a character. Sometimes it was a personality clash, sometimes I couldn't agree with the character's worldview. Until I read SoD and realized that I could sympathize with Right-Eye, as the guy who, more or less, desires to escape the whole mess of principles and alignments and pursue what is tangibly and truly upright. Right-Eye was unique, because really, he has the mindset of an NPC who just wants to live and raise a family, but is thrust into the role of a hero.

Of course, that's my own idealization of the character, maybe not your image of him.

Realistically, the character I would be closest to would probably be Redcloak, ironically. Strongly opinionated, fueled with anger at the world's injustices, frustrated at the world's problems and some passionate, but vague sense of what should be right. Myself, I know I don't have the power, nor should anyone have such power, to set the world the way I wish to see it. But if I had been given a cloak of magical power and a divine plan to set in motion, I'll admit I'd probably be easily carried away from my sense of responsibility into a more twisted vision.

Being serious, I think that I relate most to Redcloak. Being rather radical myself, I just find his desire to be the change he wants to see in the world inspiring. He's not out to conquer the world, he just wants goblins to be equal. He's really the only character I'd want to hang out with, the rest would just annoy me after a while.

Y'see, that's why I was thinking Redcloak at first, too. But his obvious submission to Xykon at this point puts me off, even if it's just an unfortunate necessity of the big plan.

Radicalism is all well and good, but make too many compromises with morality in achieving your goals and all the noble ideals you were once striving for are likely to get lost in the wash. At least, that certainly seems to be the direction Redcloak's character arc is going.

He seems to have lost his way sometime around when he invaded Azure City. Not that the Azurites didn't have it coming, mind, but he's rather less interested in building the just society than in getting petty revenge.

But otherwise I agree. If he doesn't get some friggin' justice by the end of this comic (or a good reason for NOT getting some justice) I'm going to be really irritated.

If I was turned into a stick figure and put into the OOTSverse:

I'm artistic, so I'm guessing I would be a bard. I'd probably tell stories rather than play an instrument, though (I think that's allowed).
My alignment would probably be CN or NG.
I assume I'd still be 24, and I only see myself as human to be honest. Because, you know, I'm human.

If I could create a character for that world, though, I'd be NE or CN, I'd be a magic user, but I'd probably be human anyways. Possibly not female, though.

(Can't find the strip though, I thought it was with the owlbear, but it isn't)
That was #130 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0130.html).

I'd be Axe (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0482.html), because it's nice to be able to stand up to my boss.

Or possibly Blackwing, for the same reason.

Mr. Scruffy

He's the real one pulling the strings, mark my words.

I'd be one of the Ninja assassins trying to kill Hinjo. Getting killed off rather quickly is a terrible habit of mine in RPGs.

Yes!! that's it! thank you.

As evidence for my inclusion in this group of esteemed spellcasters I offer that I wrote two of the chapters of this (http://www.atlas-games.com/pdf_storage/MagiContents.pdf)book. The book that gives details of enchanted Riding trees and the mystical "fruit of the loom" (neither was my work, but my chapters got plenty strange as well.)

Except that you've already blown it by giving your gender in your profile. :smalltongue:

Come to think of it, that's exactly the sort of teensy detailette that V, with her massive intelligence, would completely forget. You qualify.

Then I'm Chuck Norris :smalltongue:

NO. Just, no.

Meh, the plot would be solved too easily. I would just roundhouse kick Xykon and all would be over.

I would be Fire Genasi Psion (see: avatar), constantly mistaken by Belkar to be a Nazi scion. Elan would be constantly suspicious of me, because I have a goatee, just like his brother. Finally, as a Fire Genasi, a character perfectly peaceful, unless someone calls his psionic powers "spells".
"How many times am I supposed to tell you..."
"THESE. ARE. NOT. SPELLS!"
(and everything around him gets burned)
:durkon: Ye didn' need to burn everythin' around ye.
"At least you've got the point."
:belkar: Have you any spells left today?

Andarius, or whatever the name of V's master is. Anyone who taught V, who could probably KILL a high-level black dragon without even looking up from his/her book has got MAD awesome arcane power.

...

Makes me think that maybe V gets ultimate arcane power by taking over his/her master for some reason...

I'd like to be Hinjo, he's proven to be skilled (there are few who could hold their ground gainst Miko even for a few rounds), smart (to deal with the Therkla situation required brains), friendly (he wanted to help Miko even when she had already killed his uncle), honorable (he refrained from just taking vengeance on Miko for killing his uncle and throwing them in even greater problems then they already were) and a great leader (he leads by exemple). Plus, he gets to unleach the fury :smallcool:

You know, I didn't find this (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0253.html) terribly amusing. If it was a Chuck Norris parody on the other end of Thog's axe, though? Hilarious.

I'd be Thog, because I'd get to end Harry Potter, one and for all.

I think I'd be Solt Lorkyurg. (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0539.html)
Allways trying to be nice to people one meets, being totally clueless about their hostility.

If I was part of the Order I would definitely be Roy and if I was part of Team Evil I would be Redcloak. I relate far too well to the sort of beleaguered responsibility that the two of them drag around, and I often find the plans that they concoct to be similar to what I would do in their situations.

I'd like to say I'd be Lord Shojo, mostly because the two of us have similar outlooks on how government should be run. That and I would face a similar fate if attacked by Miko.
