The Divine Power (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/divinepower.htm) spell says that your BAB becomes equal to your character level. This makes no qualifications for epic and doesn't mention epic attack bonus. Does that mean that if your level 21 cleric uses Divine Power, he'd have 21 BAB and 5 attacks by RAW? And wouldn't his normal epic attack bonus stack with that BAB?

I thought you couldn't have more than four attacks from BaB alone.

That's correct. You only get 4 iterive(sp?) attacks from BAB. so your BAB would be +21 with 4 attacks. I'm not completely up to date on epic rules, but I believe that you would keep your epic bonus.

You're right. It appears BAB is worded to only grant 4 attacks maximum. Still, getting both epic bonus and extra BAB seems a bit broken, and definitely seems to go against RAI. But then, this is epic.

Oh well, thanks for the responses.

My interpretation is that it takes BAB to 20, with four attacks - i.e. equivalent to a fighter of your level.

Oh, I'm sure that was intended. It says nothing about that in the spell description though, so by RAW it should give you BAB over 20.

It makes your BAB equal to your character level, even though the usual limit is 20. You still only get 4 iterative attacks no matter how much over 16 your BAB is.

But there are exceptions, epic monsters for example have higher than 20 BAB, but still only 4 attacks. I think it would change to either 20+ Epic bonus or BAB = Level, whichever is higher.
