Years after the world war between the Allies and the lazy Axis, a new threat threatens the threatening threat that is the threatening Earth: Mars. In a UN meeting, it is discovered that Martians have infiltrated the room and are impersonating the Heads of State. The building has been placed in lockdown and our leaders are stuck in that room with the aliens until there are no more, or they all die.

Dun.
Dun.
DUNNN!

Hastily written rules: There is a Day and Night Stage. During the Day, everyone votes for who they suspect as a Martian, and that person is effectively kicked out of the game. The people adjacent to that person in the UN room now split their votes. There will be a map. Each person will start with two votes. It is similar too the first game, except everyone knows where everyone is.
During the Night, anyone with night actions sends a PM to the narrator(s) saying what they want to do with their action.
Anyone who does not vote during the day for three consecutive days will be autolynched.

Roles:
The Good:
Civilizations (villager)--The common civilization, the leaders of which are in the UN room voting. Their goal is to survive and get rid of the martians.
Spy Civilization (seer)--This civilization is adept at spying and at night the leader can find out the role of one civilization. Wins with the civilizations.
Diplomatic Civilization (Baner/something I think is unique)--This civilization has a very diplomatic leader and at the beginning of the game can choose to be immune to lynches during the day, or the ability to save anyone but themselves from a night kill each night. Wins with Civilizations.
The Bad:
Martian Overlord (Alpha Wolf)--This Martian is the leader of those infiltrating the UN. He or she can choose which players he or she wants on his or her team. Knows all the Martians obviously. Chooses the Night Kill with the Martians. Wins with the Martians.
The Martians (Wolves)--Every night, the Martians choose who they want dead, and they will most likely end up dead. Wins when the number of civilizations equals the number of Martians.
Martian Spy (Devil)--This Martian went before all the other Martians and has access to many resources. At night, they can learn the role of any player/civilization.
The Ugly Neutral:
Switzerland--Really has no business at the UN and just wants to get out. Wins by surviving to the end of the game.
Terrorists--These terrorists also managed to infiltrate into the UN meeting. During any night phase, they can choose to blow themselves up and kill someone. A terrorist wins if they blow up the Diplomat, Spy, or any Martian with them.

I think that's all I need. Recruitment is open and the game will start July 31st.
If you have any questions ask. I was kind of hurrying when I typed all this.

Players or whatever they're called these days, and their civilization name should they choose one:

Selrahc: Which unique rules? We still got those, although I might not have expressed that clearly enough in the rules.

The whole map system. I assumed it was gone since it wasn't mentioned... and doesn't really make too much sense in the context of an embassy siege.

Szilard
2009-07-22, 01:33 PM
Well, there are seats in the UN right? Each seat a person has counts as a vote. Each person starts with two seats. Yeah it's lame and doesn't make sense, but whatever.

Or it could be that the absence of a leader forces the people in their civilization to join adjacent civilizations.

If you did not get a Role PM, assume you are a Civilization (Villager).

All of you go downstairs in the UN building to a large room reminiscent of the War Room in Dr. Strangelove. There's a giant map on one wall, and leaning against it is a dead body. Me, the Narrator. It's obvious he was killed by a martian, but who's who? Feel free to send your armies into battle with eachother. Take each other's land, invade them, whatever, everyone has a phone with them. :smalltongue:

(Map to come)

Okay, remember to vote for who you want to invade in Red. Everyone starts off with 2 points to vote with. (Can only vote for one person.) If I do not make any sense say so, I'm in a hurry.

Sorry for not updating yet, my internet wasn't working to it's fullest capabilities last night, so I couldn't really see anything. Updating now.

As we learned of the Martians, wars started. Each civilization and their leader accusing other leaders of being impersonated by a Martians. The Martians, whoever they are, watched, and joined in the chaos, sending their armies and their navies across the world. Information was sent, information was stolen. Nobody knew who who really was anymore. The Deathstar looked suspicious, and even the two Switzerlands were warring with others. Finland, Porea, and maybe some other place, they were also at war.

Then came along a sensible one, the leader of XCOM. He started using logic, but of course, only a Martian would use logic so that everyone would think he wasn't a Martian. So the other civilizations went after him, the armies seized the civilization, and it was split between RedScholarGypsy and Kyouhen, and their respective civilizations.

Night 1 starts and ends in ~24 hours. Send in night actions if you have them.

Slowly, the coffee began to wear off, and all the world's leaders fell asleep. Martian gas might have helped. But the Martians? They don't sleep. Not like a human. They looked around, and they found the owner of the Death Star, possibly the one real threat to the Martians. Nothing a little "accident" could not solve.

That morning, the Death Star came crashing down, along with it a billion people. Only a few million survived, and they joined up with the neighboring civilizations. Why did the Death Star crash? Something was jammed in the thermal exhaust port, and when it could no longer hold whatever thermals it was supposed to exhaust, the main reactor blew up. Martians? Probably.

Oddity was night invaded. He was a civilization. His votes go to Fin and MOD.

Fun fact: if the original Death Star were actually built, it would hold 1.2 billion people, which would be most of China.

Day 2 starts and will end in ~48 hours.

If you want to survive, you have to vote in Day 3 or get auto'd. Day 2 is over, and I'll be typing up my post soon. Recaiden and EagleWiz also have to vote Day 3 or get auto'd.

The People woke up, looked around, and saw the carnage of the deathstar. More of them decided to use logic, even though the last guy that used logic got invaded. But if more of them used logic, it is logical that not all of them would get killed.

Someone pointed out that Shadowhisper looked like a martian. Considering that martians look like humans, it's hard to tell the difference. Or is it? Anyway, they all invaded him for his martian ways. Turns out, he was just a normal civilization. Who would have figured? With a name like Shadowhisper, he had to be suspicious.

Summary: Shadowhisper was invaded. He was a civilization. His votes now belong to Night Surgeon and EagleWiz.

Martians probably used nerve gas or something again, because all the leaders in the War room fell asleep, one by one. Except for the Martians of course.

You see, Martian technology is so much more advanced than ours, just not specifically adapted to Earth, so it actually took a while for them to find the smartest of the Earthlings. One of these were Fin. You see, Fin grew up as a spy and runs his civilization as such. He hacked the internet, and he finds out everything he wants to about a civilization.

Little did he know that Martians can do the same thing. They found Fin being awake in the War room, secretly tapping into the internet. There was an "accident" and Fin was regrettably electrocuted.

But Fin wasn't the only person who wasn't supposed to be awake. A little known terrorist, "The Ghost" snuck into the War Room a while ago. He saw the Martians fiddling with the power supply, and jumped onto one of them and pulled a string. The Martian laughed it's horrible ugly laugh. Then with a look of pure horror on his face, he saw a red one.

Boom.

Summary:
Fin was Invaded. He was the Spy civilization. His votes go to billtodamax and MOD.
Murska was killed by a terrorist. He was the Martian Spy. His votes go to Aemoh and Opeth_Freak.
Bushranger died in a Suicide Bombing. He was a terrorist. His votes go to The Bookworm and EagleWiz.

If he's going away, why would he care about Lamech's votes? As I see it, Lamech could be a power role, scried by Murska, or something similar. If you're really a villager and think MOD's a wolf, make a logical argument on the reasons why you believe MOD to be a wolf.

Of course, none of them might actually be wolves but it's all I've got to work with at this point and the reason why my vote's currently on billtodamax.

Saying this definitly pushed me away from thinking that you may a wolf stirriong trouble, FC. It's only day 2 and the martain spy is dead, plus a terrorist. I think that's cause to celebrate, as it's starting decently.

Also, kyouhen, I offered you a pact of neutrality, and you stab me in the back? not cool.

Might I suggest a non-aggression pact? You go East, I go West? I want to day kill Murska; after that I'm satisfied with dying. Of course, the second either of us shows signs of wolfdom, the pact is off.

By my understanding the pact was to last until Murska was dead. Murska is now dead. Maybe not via day kill, but I'm going to assume the fact that it's now impossible for you to day kill him means the pact isn't around anymore. :smalltongue:

EDIT:
Also I'm not even 100% sure I can go East anyway. I could kill half a dozen nations before I find out I can't go that way. Your border's the only one I see that I can guarantee land from. :smalltongue:

Well, I'm back:smalltongue: I'll update within the next hour or so.

People were starting to go crazy. One of the side effects of coffee and drugs. Some people were so intent on getting others killed, they would have sacrificed themselves if they were wrong. Some people just wanted to stay out and look insignificant. Everyone had their own agenda.

There was one named Bill (who was to da max) that everyone was suspicious of.
Everyone else thought MOD might be a martian.
Who really cares?

Certainly not those two civilizations who have done nothing. They just kept to themselves. So the other civilizations took them over. It was plain and simple.

Then they decided to get Bill, because he was acting strangely.

Summary:
Billtodamax was invaded. He was a civilization. His votes go to MOD and Lamech.
Recaiden was autoinvaded. He was a civilization. His votes go to Aemoh and Fleeing Coward.
EagleWiz was autoinvaded. He was a civilization. His votes go to The Bookworm and Night Surgeon.

Day 3 has ended. Night 3 started and will end in ~24 hours.

Nope, I cannot. I don't have any way to prove it besides logic, and I don't have any logical explanation either. Also, both MOD and Aemoh have their territories near me. If having >4 votes is an instant wolf-tell/night kill invitation, then I want to be as far from it, as possible :smalltongue:

MOD

Day 1 Fleeing Coward hopped on the Shadowwhisper wagon. To give that a push.
Day 2 Started the whole Murska wagoning. Not, as it turned out, was it a bad idea.
Day 3 First he went for Heroic claiming the billtodamax wagon was growing to fast for his liking.. Then oddly enough changed his vote to billtodamax and suggested that RedScholarGypsy and Night Surgeon.
Day 4 Hopped on the MOD wagon against his Day 3 suggestion.

So I’m changing my vote to Fleeing Coward for being on every wagon he could be. For not following his own suspicions, seriously if you don’t follow your own hunches and always vote with the crowd your either a villager without network and no clue or a wolf in hiding, IMO.

Also, I not sure how to write in more emphatic terms that I’m not a wolf. I am a villager, plain and simple. The only reason I can think that the wolves didn’t vote for me is two-fold. Firstly, I may not be near any of them so voting for me, a villager, would give them no benefit in terms of vote power. Secondly, why night kill someone when you can give it the old push on the next day with your other secret wolves with the help of previous day suggestions? Having large numbers of votes doesn’t mean you are a wolf, it just means you have votes to spare and is a poor reason to lynch someone.

Day 1 Fleeing Coward hopped on the Shadowwhisper wagon. To give that a push.

Purely for RP if anyone actually read my vote. As Gar Og Nadrak, I was always going to point at Cthol Murgos on day 1.

Day 2 Started the whole Murska wagoning. Not, as it turned out, was it a bad idea.

Day 2, nothing to go on, pointing at Murska is always guaranteed to get some sort of bandwagon going, good for analysis purposes.

Day 3 First he went for Heroic claiming the billtodamax wagon was growing to fast for his liking.. Then oddly enough changed his vote to billtodamax and suggested that RedScholarGypsy and Night Surgeon.

Again analysis purposes. Single bandwagon days give absolutely no information to the good guys. I had always intended to switch to billtodamax once a counter-bandwagon grew.

Day 4 Hopped on the MOD wagon against his Day 3 suggestion.

I don't follow my own suggestions blindly, that just leads to disaster. When my own theory is proven wrong, I'm more than prepared to follow other's leads to see if they are onto something.

Lynch RSG and Heroic first before you consider MOD. I'm beginning to strongly believe the wolves have been pushing 2 innocent bandwagons the past few days to achieve their victory.

Technically speaking, day should've ended before several of these FC votes.

This second bandwagon popped up too quickly to be quite legit. But the same could've been said about the first. I dislike this; feels too much like a save. Both scriers are dead, and I don't have time to look at the voting records.

I'll be honest; while I did feel MOD's arguments were sound, FC seems to be able to challenge them well enough. Also, FC's been gunning for me since day...2 was it? And he's right next to me, so hell yeah, there was some selfish motivation in there. And it may have clouded my judgement.

Of course, there was also that coward that kept on fleeing. What has he done all day? Nothing much. He must be minding his own business because he's a martian! It makes perfect sense! Right? Maybe, we don't know.

There was also that Aemoh guy. He looked kind of suspicious.

But in the end, everyone went for MOD, one of three or so people who had 5 votes. But his guts weren't green with blue blood, he can't be a Martian.:smalltongue:

I could of sworn I posted my thoughts up yesterday but here it is just in case the wolves choose to kill me tonight.

Those that make up my top 5 wolf suspect list:
1) Selrahc - He's active and experienced yet the only valid point he had all game was against Shadowhisper to protect Murska. Screams wolf to me.
2) Heroic - Has been hiding on a bandwagon every day, one of 2 remaining players that gave the Shadowhisper bandwagon a very timely push.
3) Night Surgeon - The other player that gave Shadowhisper's bandwagon a push just as Murska's bandwagon was getting close. Avoided voting today and has been slowly accumulating votes.
4) RSG - Has been on every successful bandwagon this game including the one that sealed Murska's fate. Sheep or Wolf in Sheep's clothing?
5) Aemoh - 3 successful bandwagons, avoided the bandwagon that saved Murska but didn't vote for him either. The one person I always have a hard time reading.
