My heartfelt sympathy. Losing a loved pet is terrible, particularly because don't have a lot of the loss coping measures for humans available to you.

I remember when my dog Zeus died, almost half my life ago, I was just destroyed for a couple weeks. A sappy part of me imagines that the afterlife is filled with dogs, anxious to welcome their human friends home.

And you don't have to apologize for any 'emoness', it's the natural reaction to such a loss. I think most people probably feel that way after losing a pet, I know I did for ages.

I'm sorry. I know how it feels, my old dog Bentley was like a family member, he was with me since the day I was born. He died a few years ago. I hope you feel better, only time will help. best wishes to you.

Seriously, though, loosing a dog is one of the worst things that can happen to you, I think. It's just like losing a friend. One of my friend's dogs died a few months ago and I'm still sad about it.

Sorry. My dog died almost a year ago. I was away at school. My mom called me telling me he was real sick. I wasn't even here when he passed away. I know it sucks. My apologies to you.

A dog i've known for almost all of my life, and one i've really loved, has terminal cancer, and i doubt she'll last for more than another week, so i guess i'll know your pain quite soon. Otherwise, i've lost many a man's best friend before, and it hurts every time, just as much.:smallfrown:

I'm really sorry to hear that. I know that losing a pet sucks. My dog died a few weeks ago and I've had him since I was four years old.
