Does Anyone else listen to Simon and Garfunkel?

I was just wondering. I listen to them pretty regularly. Most people don't seem too very much, though there was a pretty good turn out at their concert i went too a few years back.

I know most people in this particular subculture aren't really into that sort of music, but maybe they are.

Another "yes" here. The Concert in Central Park took place in 1981, when I was 10, and my Dad bought the album. I can sing every song on it without needing printed lyrics. :)

Moonsinger's school choir is currently learning "Scarborough Fair", too.

Oh man, the 7 O'clock News/Silent Night is by far one of the cleverest juxtapositions of two things I’ve ever heard. It was amazing when I first heard it, and I’m still wowed by it today

Some of my favorites are Cecilia and I am a Rock, but it's very hard to pick favorites and it all depends on mood.

Strangely, there's something about them that I don't like. Maybe it was just the mp3 quality or something, but I listened to it and...wow, it made my ears physically hurt. The music was nice, but I had to stop listening because I felt like my ears were about to bleed. A shame. =/

I love them (though I am a huge fan of "oldies" music) and I'm only 15 :-X. The Beatles, S&G, etc. are my favorite groups (along with Rammstein, The 69 Eyes and Ra). I'm extremely atypical for my age, but they're a really good band regardless :P. Can't name any songs offhand, as I'm about to pass out, but I'll try to remember to edit this post with some good ones.

What has age to do with it? Is it that people are pointing out that they weren't alive when S&G were recording? I wasn't alive when Stravinski was writing, but then neither were most of the people at his concerts today.

Simon and Garfunkel will be liked by someone until English is no longer spoken, I suspect. That's what happens to classically good music.

I think it's a kind of solidarity move, to remind older posters that "their music" won't die out with them, and to let posters in our own age range realise that there are alternatives to the manufactured rubbish put out today(although I do sometimes like said rubbish, but I have my own standards. :P ).

I have every album they have recorded, all of Pauls, and Garfunckles solo work, all the books of written music for all the work they have done, and I also perform their work frequently. (I play guitar). I learned to play listening to their music and Peter, Paul and Mary, the Limelighters, The Kingston trio and other.

My Brother got me a Simon and Garfunkel GH CD for my birthday. It was one of those albums where I already knew half the songs but found out that I liked the other half as well, but I have a very diverse taste of music so that happens a lot.

They sang better together than any other artist so it's dissapointing when you think of all the even better music (If you can imagine) they could have come out with had they not broken up.
