Well, I think this could go into Media Discussion o rhere, but I'm putting it here for now. I've been working on a race of Beastland-touched humans and I've been wondering: has the name "Wildling" already been used? I seem to remember it from somewhere, but I can't place it.

There are "wilding clasps" for Druids.

Seņor Google says:

Considering that that's not a fantasy race so much as a nickname appropriated from the actual word's definition, I'd say you're good to go.

Ah, right. A Song of Ice and Fire. I should have remembered that one. Thanks.

Don't thank me; thank Seņor Google!

You say 'Ice and Fire' to me and I think 'that one Kanto Pokemon Episode with the Arcanine that melts the entire battlefield trying to blast Pikachu'.

Really? I was thinking of the episode where Charizard used fire to create steam when Blastoise would hit the heated rock and use the chance to melee Blastoise.

But see, the episode I'm talking about was called Fire and Ice.

But yeah, that was a decent episode.

Also there is a race called Wildlings in Savage Worlds Sundered Skies. Genetically modified creatures (furries) created, sold and used as slaves by the psychopathic Elves.

Ah, right, Savage Worlds. Don't think it'd be any problem if you created your own Wildlings, though.

Ehehe.... it hasn't been used in official D&D material that I'm aware of, but there's a whole massive series of homebrew races I helped make by that name. Here (http://forums.gleemax.com/archive/index.php/t-1010307.html)'s some, but the full list is here (http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dgmwvmds_53kvq4kcv&hl=en) under (wow) the "Wildling" section.
