Secret Drone Factory - Completely Inaccessible. Who built it? SECRET! Who designed the drones? SECRET! How do the drones even get from the factory to the base if it's 'completely inaccessible' anyway? I SAID IT'S SECRET GODDAMIT!
Particle Accelerator - Why do we even have one of these? :smallconfused:

Helipads - For helicopters and other VTOL type aircraft to land. Duh.

Vehicle Teleporter - Used to get ground vehicles from the roof to the ground. May or may not be a lift-ramp-portal-mass-driver-cannon thing.

Members Only Areas:
Some areas of the base are DNA locked and alignment locked so that only members with no evil intent can enter unescorted. These include the Security Room, the Armoury, the Detention Wing, and the Artifact Vault.

Artifact Vault - Set next to the Armory, this is where GLoG's major artifacts are stored. The door is DNA locked to members only.
The Brightheart
The Brightheart is a plain orb, set upon a stone plinth labeled 'The Brightheart'. Also on the plinth is a note that says:
'Do Not Remove. Ever. No, not even then. (But maybe then.)'
The Brightheart itself glows with inner light, and throws up a positive energy blanket of moderate strength (heals most surface wounds, and makes undead sick) a few meters in radius. Touching the Brightheart results in having a large amount of positive energy run through you (heals all wounds, and drives undead to near death). Inside the plinth itself is a gate to the Negative Energy realm, which draws off the excess positive energy from the Brightheart. Should the Brightheart be removed, and taken away from the base without the necessary preparations being made, two Very Bad ThingsTM will happen.
A) The Brightheart's positive energy will not be siphoned off, and so it will be returned to full strength, throwing up a powerful positive energy blanket about a kilometer in radius, and killing anyone who touches it, living or no, through sheer positive energy overdose.
B) The gate to the Negative Energy realm will become unstable and tear, creating a giant Negative Energy rift in the middle of GLoG.

The GLoG portals:
The portal between GLoG and HALO is still open, providing instantaneous transportation between the two organisations.
But anyone passing through it arrives outside the front door. If they've already been cleared (previously interacted with GLoG without hostilities), they can walk straight in without having to roleplay out knocking on the door and so on.

First time visitors, or people who have previously caused trouble have to wait for someone to undeadtime to decide whether they can enter the building (GLoG), or not, unfortunately. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Rissah' is a part of the opposing faction against my father in the War and is here on your world because she thinks she found a silver bullet, and that just happens to be an individual on your planet.

Sorry, even I don't really know much about this Magtok person. All I know is he's apart of AMEn, and has had many close calls with death that would seem impossible to overcome.
Same goes for me more or less, all I know is that Rissah' is crazy enough to do anything just to get a hold of this Magtok guy.

And I've already found somthing to do. So, what do you do around here?

Here's what I do know we should do. If their plans to attack our organizations until either we lose all fighting capabilities, or lose our leaders, which is very unlikely. The only real thing we can do is call on any allies we have outside of our organizations to help.
Valdin nods.
When, they were attacking last night, they probably weren't trying to kill you guys on the spot, Rissah' probably wanted to evaluate your strength and tactics. Now that she knows that, she'll most likely be ready to counter them the next attack with the appropriate amount of force.

Lowan smiles and places Starly on his shoulder.
I wouldn't say that seeing that technically neither side faired to well from the looks of the bases.

Valdin walks up to Susan and eyes the energy sword.
Susan is it, I have a word of advice for you. Did you notice that out of all the elites you fought last night, only a couple of them had swords.

((This is stating that their would only be 7 energy swords at GLOG's disposal, because out of the 8 elites that had energy swords, only 1 escaped.))

Valdin's voice turn deep and stern.
Those swords, are sacred. 9/10 Sangheili's that join Vadam's Army never even get the chance to hold a sword and its because of their power and honor that they bring to its holder.
Valdin pulls out his sword which is turned off, so technically he's only holding the hilt which has custom curved spikes on it. He looks at it for several second then looks at Susan wildly and carelessly. He activates his swords and locks it in between Susan's two prong blades, not allowing her to swing it anymore.
You may not have grown up learning under the Vadam honor system, but please accept my word of wisdom. The next time you activate that, sword make sure that it is drenched in the blood of your enemies. Not just for your sake of living, but for your allies, you lineage, and everything you hold dear.
Valdin stares at her with his piercing amber eyes, then deactivates his sword.
That is all.

Oh. Dani giggles. Well, I like big things! She blushes and giggles some more. So! What made you decide to come here?

"Will do." She says, as she deactivates it, and pockets it.

Lowan watches the scene between Susan and Valdin and grabs his shoulder as he turns around.
I think now would be a good time to head back.
Lowan turns to Susan and anyone else still present.

Valdin follow but stops briefly looking down at the ground still stained by the purple blood of elites. He kneels down in honor briefly.

Dani nods. Yeah. A lot has been going on and I'm worried about Sammie and a friend of mine has been kidnapped...

You know, there was something I needed to find out in the library, I think. Gotta run, it was nice meeting you!
She grins at Ryuan, then -

She vanishes from the kitchen!

Reappearing in the library!

Where she ponders for a bit what to do about what the dragon's library comment made her think of.
Then decides to quickly scratch out a salt circle.
And chants Histor's name three times.

Cutting off her babble, and with tears in her eyes, Dani suddenly spins and sprints out for Sam's room!

But Dani ran out. So he goes back to his research.

Butler is still in the infirmary. But is now cleaning the place a little, though remaining nearish to Vidalia.

He'd clean Vidalia and all that, but he's not sure she wants that what with being awake now and all.

Butler nods at Marley. "Yes sir. I'm feeling much better sir. Thanks for asking sir." Must've completely zoned out during that attack on the base. Oh well.

"That's good, because a whole bunch of people came here and attacked GLoG, and what's worse, they will be back, with more people.
I want you, when they come back, to stay in the infirmary and make sure those people don't hurt the patients."

Marley thinks for a moment.

"I know, I send a few drone here for you boss around when it gets dangerous, would you like that? Or do you think you can take whoever gets in the infirmary yourself?"

"Oh don't worry sir. I can handle anyone who comes in sir." :smallsmile:

By which he means, help them get better. Cause that's what people who come in infirmaries need!

Marley turns to Jazirian.

Ryuan is in the Great Room. He's looking at the spell he reverse-engineered from Cal and is currently making alternate versions.

Now he just needs a willing target to test it on. I mean, they all work on the inanimate targets down in the basement, but as close to combat conditions as possible is best.

Good to meet you, sir. I've just been reverse-engineering a spell I saw the effects of, and it should be a useful one for when I don't want to kill somone.

I am very glad for you. It seems Czernov isn't, really, and he's just being polite. As that's a damn weird thing to say to someone.

I've also been investigating the kidnap of Alexis. It seems that Cal was responsible. It's actually his spell I reverse-engineered.

It seems he has a new henchwoman. Called herself Mia when she came here, but I doubt that's her real name.

He's a Gold Dragon, and a bookworm. His ways are not for humans to comprehend. :smalltongue: That's his excuse, anyway.

Other than that, I'm just moving in. Enlarging my room into a proper lair. Meeting people.

Ryuan sits down at the table to have a look at the files on Cal that he got out of the Library.

Several construction drones, armed with injectors and a larger budget, go around strengthening the walls, replacing the concrete with... future stuff.

Meanwhile, more construction drones begin installing closable steel blast doors at the entrance of each wing/room/module thing.

Ryuan wanders up to the infirmary, looking at what all the drones are doing. That's a good idea. Looks nicer as well.

"... Because the first thing a person wants to see when they go to the infirmary are sliding plates of steel on either side of the entrance."
He looks at what the drones are doing.
"I guess they'd be nice and shiny when closed though."

No, I meant the walls. Concrete... ugh. Humans have this innate talent for thinking that strong means ugly.

So, what have you been doing?

"I've been authorizing this increase in defense."

He taps the non-concrete stuff. Funnily enough, it looks exactly like concrete. Except white.

I've been reverse-engineering this spell of Cal. It basically dumps fast-hardening sap on the target. I've made some modifications as well, so I've now got a spell in my arsenal that's great for capturing instead of killing. Plus, there are other uses as well.

I still say it looks better.

The origional would need you to get the sap off the person's head, or they'd suffocate. I actually made three variants. One magically forces the sap off the person's head, so the target's encased up to their neck. The second lets air in and out. So, they'd be completely covered, but could still breathe. The third is like the second, but also includes a Sleep spell.

I still need to test it on a living target... I mean, they work fine on dummies, but that's not like the real thing.

It'd also work well for blocking corridors.

Heh. This'd be pretty useless for holding a Dragon of any type anyway. We'd just shapeshift and either shatter the sap or be able to crawl out.

I might post for volunteers... or test in combat, but that I'm not too keen on. I don't like combat tests, they have a way of getting out of control.

He draws a diagram. It doesn't matter how you fight, if you're inside and you're in dragon, you're likely to have collateral damage if your opponent is decent enough to force you to go into your true form.

Unless you're in a dwarf mine, but that opens a whole load of other problems.

Also, apparently they're not the Covenant, they're a faction in a civil war or something. They want Magtok, apparently.

"Because we're totally going to interfere with an attempt to kidnap Magtok. Well, next time, I'm going to make sure they don't come back."

There's a very loud throbbing from the President's office. Literally.
A throb, audible, but visible too - the very air shudders in rippling emanation.

Actually, I think we are. Because whatever they want Magtok for, it's probably bad for us.

Ryuan pauses. What's that?

Misaki is next to Quinn, looking at her worriedly. She hasn't woken up yet. Is it like that one time, when she wouldn't wake up? Misaki is going to try to talk to Quinn through their mental link once she undeadtimes.

[Ashen Lilies]

"It doesn't sound good..."

Jazirian runs up to the President's Office and waits outside, fist hovering inches away from the door as if about to knock.

Ryuan readies the third variety of his sap spell.

Be careful.

Someone can be heard walking around inside.

Ryuan nods to Jazirian. Ready when you are.

"I dunno... maybe it's just the President?"

He backs away from the door slightly.

Then knock to make sure he's alright. That throbbing was not good.

[Fan]

A dark oaken coffin, one emblazoned with the emblem of the Black Dust clan, one with intricate cravings, a crushed velvet inner lining, and one oddly kept in the straight vertical position at all times, despite lacking wires, or other physical bindings that would allow a nearly 500 pound solid oak coffin to remain in that odd position.

A creaking, a stirring of something unstirred for so long, the cracking of age old bones, stiff from lack of movement, and the first foot fall in that long abandoned room, wards of powerful enchanment being swept away with one hand, and a strong hand gripping the door knob, and throwing the door wide open.

Fanboy stumbled into the great room, darkness pushing at the edges of his vision, each foot step like walking through a leaden tar, he reached out one hand towards the blood fridge emblazoned with a bright yellow on black bio hazard sign, all he had to do was make it there, and whatever had forced him back into tropus would be flushed out, then a familiar ringing filled his ears, and he hit the floor like a lead weight.

In the far away nest, a much more mature dragon spread azure wings that were thin like that of a bats, but augmented by the magical nature of her being so that they could carry her dense body upward, and through the skies with little effort.

Venrai crested majestically over the lush green forests that outlined GloG's mountainous surroundings, over crisp evergreens, and through the brush of a great red oak older then the establishment itself.

After a few long hours of flying, she crested around to find the GLoG establishment, weathered from attacks, but standing none the less, the familiar swarm of drones working furtively to repair various breakages, and damages that the building had sustained.

She flew around over GLoG for a few minuets before finding a clear landing spot in a clearing in the garden, a marble fountain depicting various Celestials in a romanesque manner, providing beauty where there is none, and amplifying it where it was present to create a beautiful piece of artwork that adorned this small area.

She then went in for a small dive, air currents whipping past her face, and folding underneath her wings, before her folded them back, the once gliding wings now acting as natural parachutes to slow her decent with each powerful beat. She touched down then, claws clicking against the cobbeled stone pathway, and her final wing beat clearing the area underneath her of dust in a large cloud that was sent scattering into the near by foliage.

He compromises and attempts to use GENERIC-SEE-THROUGH-SOLID-OBJECTS-VISIONTM to see through the door.

He'll relay what he sees to Ryuan, and then deadtime.

Ryuan looks out at Venrai. Okay, while you check that, I'm going to see who this is. Alright?

Ryuan walks down to the Rose Garden. Hello. I'm Ryuan. Who are you?

Misaki looks up from Quinn in the infirmary. Did she hear something...?

The child hops down and goes out into the Great Room. She sees the man there and goes over to him. "Hello? Are you okay?"

[Kaelaroth]

Czernov's standing over something body-shaped, on the floor. Electricity is dancing across the floor.

((Sh- Deadtime. Sorry.))

[Fan]

The man, a pale skinned individual in a stylish dark duster, with a crimson undershirt that came with a matching set of sleek flat soled shoes, was in a state of unconsiousness, his breathing was shallow at best, and if she bothered to check for a pulse, she'll find it non existant.

However if she's the miracle doctor child, or merely versed in scary stories, she'll also see that he's a Vampire by his pearly white fangs.

Venrai snorts a bit at first, the last of the dust she had kicked up in that cloud settling, which caused a rather fiery sneeze.

She then looks up to see the Gold Dragon near her, and his inquiry, before replying simply in her sly tone of voice.

"I am Venrai, of the orphaned brood. Who are you?"

Ryuan, Gold Dragon. Not old enough to have titles yet.

Listen, there's a kid around who's scared of big things, so if you can shapeshift?...

Misaki isn't a miracle doctor child, but she has had some training with Quinn, and she has watched after the infirmary. She shudders a bit at the sight of the fangs and takes a step back.

He looked like he needed help. But he was a monster. What is she helped him and then he woke up and attacked her? But he needed help! But he was scary! But...

The non-existent pulse made her think. Maybe he needed blood? Misaki went to the infirmary and got an IV bag with blood that they used for transfusions when healing magic didn't work.

[Fan]

Venrai issues a snort, which may have been the Dragon equivalent to a sigh, she then shudders a bit, her form shifting, and compacting in various ways as she took on the guise of a Human woman with startling azure eyes that seem to burn with a deep inner fire, and platinum blonde hair that seems to be the same color as starlight that flows down her shoulders. However, as Shape Shifting doesn't include non organic items, she is entirely in the buff at that moment.

She then turns to face the gold dragon, as she says a tone of expasperation in her voice.

"Happy?"

As the blood is infused into Fanboy's circulatory system, his unliving heart began to beat once more, THUMP, his vision began to come back, a small vein of light in a impossibly dark abyss, before spreading to show a small girl with a pack of blood, and a IV stuck into his neck. His eyes fluttered a bit at first, unused to the light that came from the Fluorescent Lightbulb that hung loosely above them.

After a moment he found the strength to move again, sitting up he turned to the girl, and said.

"Thank you."

[Neon Knight]

Misaki sets up an IV drip of blood to Fanboy. She then sits nearby, legs curled up to her chest, arms wrapped around her knees, hugging herself and watching him with anxiety.

I get the exact same problem.

A drone comes up with clothes. And a screen.

Misaki nods at the revitalized Fanboy. "Y-you're welcome." She's rocking slightly back and forth in her sitting position, still a little afraid of him.

[Dirk Kris]

Meridian the ferret sniffs around and locates Misaki in the Great Room. He hunches his way across the floor on a little ferret hop, then twines his body around Misaki's ankle. Glancing up, his mental voice is tinged with concern. What's wrong, Misaki?

[Fan]

I get the exact same problem.

A drone comes up with clothes. And a screen.

Thanks.

A few moments later, after some audible rustling, and some struggle with the drones who had to fly back and forth for away bringing various outfits of different winter tones, she eventually emerged in a simple, but functional, cyan top that exposed a very small portion of her middriff, and a set of navy blue jeans that hung rather loosely around her waist, and knees, but otherwise seemed to fit nicely.

She did a little turn to show off a bit, one thing about Venrai, she was everything but humble when it came to herself.

"This better?"

Fanboy shakes his head a bit, a throbbing head ache filling his head as the blood balance in his body was restored, and he began to feel a little better.

He then noticed that the little one who had saved him was looking rather anxious, and afraid. He quirked a eye brow at this, before saying.

"What's the matter..... I'm sorry. I forgot to ask you your name. I'm Fan Boy Amakirr. Thank you for saving me, and it's nice to meet you."

Jazirian comes down from the President's Office, figuring that whatever it was, he could handle it himself. Jazirian himself, is, for Fanboy's benefit, looking exactly like my avatar, or this (http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x280/kriskatarn/KidKrisPrizeGitp.jpg?t=1238747344) drawing, with the addition of twin holsters at his waist, one the receptacle of a Colt Diamondback, the other a Covenant Needler. There's a Plasma Pistol in his hand. He spots Venrai, and a slow smile spreads across his face.
"Broodmate! It's good to see you!"

[Fan]

Fanboy, the throbbing in his head reduced to a dull pounding, as he finally stood up as well to his full 6"6 head and shoulders, rolling the stiff joints back into a useful position that didn't involve painful cramping, this unfortuantely included a massive jaw opening yawn that revealed the fact that most of his teeth were in fact rather pointy, as he said.

"URGH. Ah, that's better. It's nice to meet you Misaki."

He then looked to down to see the Ferret, and said with a tone of playful curiosity in his voice.

"Who's your cute little friend there?"

Venrai quirked a starlight colored eye brow, not sure exactly what he meant by "already a member" she was born here, but she didn't know about any sort of membership process, as she said, her sly voice less booming now that it had to cope with smaller vocal chords.

"Memebership?"

She then sees Jazirian, and a smile of her own, white as she has yet to sully them with food, and lack of brushings, and went to embrace her brood mate in the human "hug" she had often seen friends do during her brief foray here long ago.

"Jazirian, it is good to see you are well!"

[Neon Knight]

Misaki has started to tremble like a little leaf. He's so big! And his teeth...!

Quailing in front of him, Misaki says, "H-he's Meridian."

[Dirk Kris]

Meridian. The low, male voice is projected into the vampire's head. He notes the fangs and thinks just one thing - carnivore. He stands in front of the girl, back hunched up defensively. As if he could protect her from this guy. What did you do to frighten her?

[Ashen Lilies]

Jazirian hugs her back, naturally of course, being used to his human form, before stepping back slightly.
"It's been a while, hasn't it? How are you?"

[Fan]

Fanboy is rather confused... Had he really been away long enough that the once commonly known friendliness of his had become known only to his old friends, and acquiantineses, and why was the ferret defending the girl, who was shaking like a leaf, from him?

"I.. I.. I don't know. What's the matter, and why is she shaking like that? Is she ill or some such?"

Venrai parts the hug as well, although she only began to release when Jazarian did, which may have resulted in a hug that was "just a little too long".

Her eyes appraise Jaziarian's human form, it had a lot of elements she would have expected, but he really had changed in all this time. She then looked up rather abruptly when Jaziriain began to speak, and when finished she said.

"Too long Jazairian. Now, what is this "membership" the other one mentioned before covering himself in some sort of ooze?"

[Ashen Lilies]

"Oh that, it's just a... formality of a sort, so that we know that they're a part of the organization."

Unfortunately, he too is coated with the ooze as he ((deadtimes))

You look and smell like a carnivore. Surely the girl must sense it too. The ferret is sniffing the vampire. If he's here, in theory, he should be a good guy. But Meridian DID see Marcos in here the other day.

"U-um..." Misaki didn't want to make him angry, but.... "Y-you look like a monster..."

[Fan]

Fanboy chuckled a bit at this, how could he have forgotten that even though he was a champion of good, he was still the stuff of nightmares to small children. Ah, the child was young, so it was a natural fear. He'd merely have to enlighten her as to why he was allowed in this building in the first place.

"Oh? Yes. I am in a sense a monster, no sense in lying to you, but I'm the kind of monster that goes after the bad people who hurt other people. You see, I'm going to tell you a story about myself Misaki, if you'll be kind enough to listen, and stop shaking that is.

[Neon Knight]

Misaki gives him a tiny nod and tries to hold herself still. She's going along with it because she's afraid of displeasing him and making him angry.

[Dirk Kris]

Meridian scampers up Misaki's legs and curls up around her neck, nuzzling her with his tiny face for comfort. I'm here - it'll be alright.

[Neon Knight]

Misaki relaxes a bit and reaches up a hand to pet the ferret, grateful for his presence.

[Fan]

Fanboy smiles, while she was obviously still afraid, it was good to see that she had at least stopped herself shaking, and he began to tell her his tale.

"You see, I used to be one of those bad people your afraid of, one who would hurt other people, and do bad things for no feasible reason. However, that was because I was scared like you are now, people don't like me because of what I am, and what I did, so I lashed out in response to try to make them go away, because I thought I was alone in the world, doomed to live forever spited by the world, and for a while I was. Then I met someone, she was bad like I was, but she was doing it to impress someone who meant a lot to her, and that person had just hurt her really bad at the time. I was there, doing ... well I don't quite know, but when I heard her crying, something inside me stirred, reminding me of the days when I was a good person, like I am now, and I found out how this person had hurt her, and at first I was angry, but when she explained it more, I began to feel for her, and relate, and suddenly, the world didn't seem so hate filled anymore.

After that, we had a few meetings, and fell in love, and I made this place with some help from the working people along with a Saint, a pixie, a girl who's gone now, and the light of my life who would later become my wife. After a short time however, things began to break apart again, the girl Annalee was her name, vanished one day never to be found again, Saint Nil went into hiding because of all the work he had to do, and the organization I had helped build began to fall down around me because of bad people who didn't like us, or the GLoG.

Then me, and Chelonie got married, and many other details I'll fill in later if asked, the new leaders of GLoG were elected, as this is a democratic organization, and Chelonie got sick after our daughter died, and my son vanished, but thats a different story, and now... Well here I
.


He then takes a deep breath, that had been.. quite.. the exposition, and he didn't want to over load the girl quite yet.

"And that is why I'm here. I'm not here to hurt you, or anyone else who tries to help other people in these walls. I'm here to keep the big, mean, nasty monsters out."

Misaki listened as best as she could, but a lot of that was over her head, and it was a bit confusing to take in all at once. The first part of the narrative, the important bit, she got though.

Misaki was quite for a moment, then said, "D-do you... Do you like flowers?" The girl apparently thought the question relevant for some reason, as she looked at him, expectant of an answer.

[Fan]

"Yes... Blue and White roses in particular. Why?"

Fan knew that most of it, a small child would never get, but the ferret was psychic and you never knew how smart they could be, so he did a full narrative for his sake.

[Neon Knight]

"W-well... bad monsters don't like flowers. So, I believe you." Misaki gave him a weak smile.

[Dirk Kris]

Meridian nuzzles Misaki's neck happily. Not so scared now, little one? Funny coming from such a tiny animal.

[Fan]

Fan nodded to Misaki, it was good to see she wasn't absolutely terrified of him anymore, he straightened his duster, brushing off various things from it, dust being the chief thing, before giving her a closed lip smile as to hide the fanged mouth, and heading to infirmary to go check on Happy.

(IF my reading is right, the proceeding should not be wrong...)

When he arrives he sees Melody laying there, and the box of chocolates he had retireved from his extradimensional holding space inside his jacket fell clattering to the floor, and he went to attempt to shake Chelonie into a state of awareness as he said.

"Its.. Its a miracle Happy... Melodies alive!"

[Neon Knight]

"No." Misaki pets the cute ferret.

Sadly Chelonie doesn't respond to the shaking. Mostly because her player needs to step away from the computer. I might be back in half an hour, but there's a small possibility I'll be gone for the night. I never know these days. =/

Meridian nuzzles the girl again. Where did he come from? What happened? He was out delivering, see?

[Neon Knight]

Misaki shakes her head a tiny bit, careful not to dislodge him. "I don't know. I was in the infirmary, and then I heard a noise, and he was out here. He was hurt, and needed help. He was scary, but... I couldn't just leave him like that. So I helped him, and then he got up.. and... he was just scary..."

Appearances are not always what they seem, little Misaki. The ferret smiles. Haven't you learned that yet?

[Neon Knight]

Misaki shakes her head. "No. Are you sure?"

Butler gets a letter from Czernov! And reads it!
And finds a chair to slump in from the shock.
How... how was he supposed to do that? He didn't know how that worked. But if he didn't do it... he would lose his job as butler. :smallfrown:
He buries his head in his hands. Where was Decker? She was supposed to do his thinking for him.

Time will tell. It always does. The ferret's whiskers twitch. Just...try not to be alone with him. For now. If you can. It would make me feel better. No matter what the vampire said, every cell in his ferretty brain is firing, screaming PREDATOR!

Misaki nodded. "Okay... I don't want to be mean, but I'll do it."

[Dirk Kris]

No need to be mean, little one. He knows his appearance frightens you - he should understand. Meridian tilts his head. Why don't you wear your flower crown when he comes around and you are scared? And when we know he's a friend, we can all laugh about this together.

[Neon Knight]

Misaki nods. "Okay. Good idea!" She tries to give him a kiss on his little nose.

"Butler? What's the matter?"

Marely walks over to the chair Butler is slumped in.

[Dirk Kris]

The ferret's whiskers twitch as he is kissed. He kisses Misaki's nose in return. Now, I believe I promised you a coronation parade? Amusement.

"You did!" Misaki giggles as she walks towards the Rose Garden.

Very well then. Meridian fishes out his little flower crown from his pouch and slips it on as he rides on Misaki's shoulder. Everyone make way for Queen Misaki and Kind Meridian, rulers of all the Rose Garden. He mentally hums a little tune to Misaki.

Misaki might be comforted a bit if she knew that the scary man she just talked to was one of the ones who planted the first Rose Garden (since destroyed and replanted umpty times...).

Unfortunately, there are more scary things in store. A puff of flame about the size of Misaki forms in the garden, and quickly disappears, leaving this guy behind:

Miskai recovers her own wreath and puts it on, and then she walks about the Rose Garden, doing her best impression of a regal poise.

It is utterly ruined by her constant giggling.

And then it is further ruined by the sudden fireball. She jumps and lets out a little shriek, and then backs away hurriedly.

Issi shrieks too, and covers his eyes with his hands. He seems to think he's hidden that way.

Misaki dashes into a rosebush to hide.

After a moment, Issi peers out from between his fingers. "Is... is it gone?" he asks.

Misaki's head is slightly peeping out of the rosebush as she hides, and when he uncovers his face she ducks down and lets out another little "eep!"

"D-don't come any closer!" Misaki scampers back into the rosebush, her clothes catching on the branches.

Meridian hops down and chitters at the little demon thing, placing himself between it and Misaki. Get away from her!

Issi cowers from the terrifying ferret, diving behind his own rose bush and hiding his face again. "No hurt Issi! No hurt Issi! Please?"

Fan smiles a bit, stroking a lock of hair from her face, it's good to see she was recovering slightly, a dot of light in the infinite darkness that seemed to be her situation.

In the deepest part of her chosen rosebush, Misaki sends a cry for help across her mental link to Quinn.

~Quinn! Quinn, help, please! There's something in the Rose Garden!~

In the Infirmary, Quinn stirs, Misaki's urgent plea reaching something deep inside her...

Meanwhile, upstairs, in the President's office, the door is opening, veeery slowly. Czernov's being furtive, perhaps. It seems he's talking to someone is hushed tones, too.

~Please, Quinn! I'm scared!~

Misaki hopes that Meridian is okay as she crouches in the rosebush, afraid to leave.

"Butler? What's the matter?"

Marely walks over to the chair Butler is slumped in.
"I think I won't have a job here very much longer sir."
I think Butler's in the midst of a midlife crisis.

[The Bushranger]

And Quinn's eyes suddenly fly open in the Infirmary.

She rolls out of bed, collapsing on the floor...

Then tries to push herself up even as she starts for the rose garden.

"I doubt that, you do a great job.
Yes the drones do a lot of things, but they can be a bit erratic, and all of them are very single minded.
You can do a lot more things than an one drone can."

[Reinholdt]

"No sir. Not the drones sir." Those hideous loathsome machines.

"Czernov says if I don't get it right I'll lose my job sir. It's an order sir." Not speculation.

[Dirk Kris]

The ferret keeps chittering defensively at the strange creature. Don't scratch yourself on the thorns, Misaki. I'll keep it away - go inside.

"Don't do what right?"

Marley raises an eyebrow.

Czernov can be seen, in fact! There he be. Sneaking downstairs? As if to make sure no one's going to see him. And whatever's at the top of the stairs. Ooh.

Misaki scampers out of the rosebush and runs away form the Rose Garden. Probably running into Quinn.

Butler points at Czernov as if to tell Marley to ask him himself.
Marley may note Butler gripping a piece of paper tightly.

Thump!

Misaki runs right into Quinn!
Bowling her right over!
Ow!

"Czernov! What order did you give to Butler?"

Marley walks over to Czernov, holding his cane.

[Neon Knight]

Misaki is knocked over too, lying dazedly on top of Quinn for a few seconds before hugging her tight. "Quinn!"

[Kaelaroth]

He needs to stop evil people getting into GLoG, by just letting them in the front door. We have alignment scanners. There are people living here. It is not safe. Czernov says, slightly distracted, perhaps, as he walks to the kitchen.

"The drones have made the same mistakes, and I don't see you threatening to get rid of the drones.
Besides, the alignment scanners only work when someone goes through the door, how is he supposed to tell if the people are evil or not unless he lets them in?"

Marley follows Czernov.

The ferret keeps backing towards Misaki, keeping himself between her and the imp.

Incorrect. The alignment scanners can be used before someone moves through the door. The drones are going through rapid modification, hence the current shifts in personality matrices. Czernov says, heading into the kitchen.

"Well, how is Butler suppose to use the scanners if no one bothers to tell him how to use them? Answer me that, president."

Quinn hugs Misaki back tightly. Are you OK sweetie? she whispers.

[Dirk Kris]

There is some sort of demonic creature in the Garden, Quinn. It leaped at Misaki. I've got it cornered. Hilarious - the teeny ferret cornering a demon.

[Neon Knight]

Misaki nods, burying her face in Quinn's shoulder. "I-I was in the Rose Garden with Meridian, and then there was this fire, and this scary little thing showed up. It's still there!"

[Kaelaroth]

"Well, how is Butler suppose to use the scanners if no one bothers to tell him how to use them? Answer me that, president."

Czernov turns. His expression is cold. Did I say that Butler is being terminated immediately, because of previous failures? No. I did not say that. I said that if Butler continues to fail, his contract will be. Teach him yourself, if you want. Forgive me, if I am at work, right now.

[ThePhantom]

"Fine then."

Marley walks back to the infirmary, but asks a drone to keep an eye on Czernov.

(Deadtime)

Quinn tries to sit up, squeezing Misaki tight. I think there's an imp that comes around, he's mostly harmless...

[Kaelaroth]

And Czernov tells the drone to go away, please. And he continues his work. Making several sandwiches, before slipping back into his office, upstairs.

Misaki moves to let Quinn sit up. Her clothes are a bit dirty form her scramble to get away, and despite Meridian's warning she has a small bleeding scratch from a thorn. She continues to cling to Quinn.

Quinn doesn't let go, and quickly goes to Lay On Hands the scratch. I'm so sorry you got scared, sweetie...

[Neon Knight]

"Lots of scary things happened. Alexis was kidnapped, and there was this scary man with big teeth, and... and.. I thought it might be like last time, when you wouldn't wake up... I missed you..." The child murmurs appreciatively as her scratch is healed.

[The Bushranger]

Quinn stiffens just a little at the mention of Alexis, then sighs. I'm so sorry I scared you sweetie. I love you and never want to upset you, you know that right?

What was his name, little one? I missed that part. Meridian peers around, not seeing the little imp and suspecting trickery!

[Neon Knight]

"I know. His name was Fan Boy Amakirr." Misaki will stay with Quinn, relaxing in the embrace of her protector and friend.

[Dirk Kris]

Meridian picks up his flower crown from where it fell while he was defending Misaki and tucks it into his little pouch. I'll go look around - stay with Quinn. He scurries off into the bushes.

Issi tries to sneak inside the building, avoiding the terrifying ferret and the scary little girl. However, he's not very good at sneaking.

Luckily, Misaki deadtimes as she sits with Quinn, removing that obstacle from his path.

The ferret, however, being tiny and lurking in the bushes, leaps out and projects at the little creature. Who are you? Quickly - identify yourself!

Chelonie's vital signs continue to improve.

Fan continues to sit there, the dimly lit infirmaries silence being punctuated by a "beep" ever few seconds to show the heart rate increase... Soon it would either have to stop increasing, or risk giving her high blood pressure... Something that could be alleviated easily admittedly, but not something one wants.

[Dirk Kris]

The name Butler sounds familiar. You...you are Issi? Why did you frighten the child like that? The ferret relaxes, but only slightly.

[Draken]

A whitered pale man, wrapped in white bandages and wearing golden jewelry starts to fade into being close to Happy.

"But... I not scary! Nobody ever scared of Issi. That why I make bad soldier in Blood Wars."

Chelonie begins to stir. She definitely seems to be approaching consciousness.

A spooky mummy guy is presumably appearing in the room about now though.

The ferret settles, curling into a ball. Then why did you jump out and shriek at her like that? That was not at all kind. He sniffs the little imp.

[Fan]

Fan is more concerned with the waking Chelonie then the mummy guy, but if he tries to touch her, or come near her he will find a harsh glare being thrown his way.

"Issi not jump! Issi appear and she screamed, so I thought something scary was here and I screamed too please don't tell General Baaltazar...."

Chelonie opens her eyes. And seeing Fan by her side, for the first time in months, she smiles.
