I note that there have been only four OOTS comics posted in July 2009. ...{Scrubbed}...
The difference between that and this is one of degree. An annoucement isn't obligatory, but it would make me feel better to hear someone In Charge discuss it.

With this book done, or almost done, odds are he's sticking to his usual pace, but is instead working on the book.

The slower updates have been bugging me too. However, if something were SERIOUSLY wrong or a major change has been made, I'm sure that the Giant would be nice enough to let us know on the News page.

I'm fairly sure that we average about 10 a month, so this is atypical. From January to June, we averaged eight comics a month.

I expect this means we'll have word on the next book soon. Maybe a bonus book, too.

you guys are creepy stalkers.

Could you explain your logic?
We check the comic regularly because we like it.
We care about when it updates because we don't want the updates to slow down largely.

Keeping track of updates enough to make an average? Without the site itself doing it? Creeeeeeepy.

Actually, he can just find the discussion threads for the comics and see when they were made.

Gotta love those wacky mental images... you should probably stay away from the crack pairings thread.

*ahem*

Back on topic, I agree with one of the above posters who suggested Rich is busy with work on stuff for the book. I'm just sad that I'll miss out on the awesomeness that will be the fight with golum!Roy.

Keeping track of updates enough to make an average? Without the site itself doing it? Creeeeeeepy.I have a calender where I mark off the days the comic updates. And I'm going to take that creepyness remark as a compliment. :smalltongue:

Sheriff of Moddingham: Aw c'mon, really? Please don't start threads about the comic update timing, schedule, etc.

No one but The Giant knows the answer you seek, and unless he's sayin', he ain't sayin'. You'll know when he makes an announcement.
