I've been designing a Rogue/Ranger Hybrid and would like advice on how to optimise it further, just the first 10 levels and the knowledge that I intend to Paragon Hybrid for Brutal Scoundrel for now, I'll post more later as presently I am at work and so don't have the build to hand.

The idea of this build is to maintain Combat Advantage at all times using the Wolf to flank. The primary At Will will be riposte strike, which coupled with Beat Protector puts a flanked enemy in the position of being hit either as an OA or an Immediate Interrupt if he attacks either the beast or the PC.

With alot of Minor attacks (Low Slash, Off Hand Strike, Two Fold Flinch) as well as Press the Advantage as a free attack this build will deal both flavours of bonus dice 4 rounds per encounter, which needless to say is alot. It aslo has excellent Fort and Ref defenses and a pretty good AC, coupled with the intterupt attacks as a defense. If an enemy tries to flee, both the wolf (with CA for flanking and thus bonus damage) and the PC get to make OAs, which is barely reduced in effectiveness if the enemy shifts and moves, as the OAs still occur, merely without Combat Advantage.

Any ideas on improving this at Heroic tier would be much appreciated, I will subsequently post Paragon for critique, then Epic.

Twin Strike/Low Slash : 3d8 + 3d6 + 17 = 41 Damage (And Slow)
Rangers Recovery/Low Slash : 5d8 + 3d6 + 24 = 57 Damage (And Slow)


Max Damage With Flanking (Assuming All Hit) From Some Combos

Riposte Strike/Off Hand Strike: 3d8 + 3d6 + 17 = 59 Damage
Twin Strike/Low Slash : 3d8 + 3d6 + 17 = 59 Damage (And Slow)
Rangers Recovery/Low Slash : 5d8 + 3d6 + 23 = 81 Damage (And Slow)


Min Damage With Flanking (Assuming All Hit) From Some Combos

Riposte Strike/Off Hand Strike: 3d8 + 3d6 + 17 = 23 Damage
Twin Strike/Low Slash : 3d8 + 3d6 + 17 = 23 Damage (And Slow)
Rangers Recovery/Low Slash : 5d8 + 3d6 + 23 = 31 Damage (And Slow)


When Going Nova (At level 10, no magic items):

Low Slash, Off Hand Strike, Rangers Recovery, AP Twin Strike, Press The Advantage (if this bloodies), Flashy Riposte
