Ready Aim Fire CLASSIC XXIV - The Survival of the Fittest

This game is identical with Silkenfist's game, “Ready Aim Fire!”. Thank you Silkenfist for the idea.This is RAF Classic, the original, free-for-all RAF game. You can find Team RAF, the team-based variant of this game in the Forums when Lord Herman decides to continue the series.

The main rules (spoilered because I think most of the people know them already):

You have to decide between three actions:
1) Shoot the air –> Nothing happens. If you get shot you die.

2) Shoot [insert player name here] –> [insert player name here] dies if he did not shoot himself.

3) Shoot yourself -> if no one tries to kill you, you die! If someone shoots you this player will get killed instead of you and you live!

You have about three days to PM your action to the narrator (=me!). I will announce the submission date in the Narrator Posts.I will post the end of the round and start writing then, no PMs will be accepted after the end of the round post.If you miss a date once you shoot the air. If you miss a date twice in a row you get autolynched.

It is FC. He may be following it through. He has done it before. He actually won a TRAF game for his team by PM'ing the other team saying he was going to shoot himself, and quite a few of us (me included) called his non-bluff.

Yes, it seems he’s canceled his death wish. With the help of the 3 animals he defeated death!

Very dramatic spoken. Oh, but see this chicken? It hasn’t as much luck as the human. Running to a cliff and trying to fly… like a lemming.

Mmm. Is there a chance to save the body… I’m hungry.

Well, of course… but I wouldn’t eat it. It fell in the region where the poisonous Dart Frogs live… it could be it crushed one of them.

So… let’s look at the monkey. Oh, a dinosaur is attacking…

Never seen Jurassic Park? I experimented with Genetic engineering. Wanted to have all animals… oh, it seems the Dinosaur tripped over a turtle and fell into a poisonous sea jelly. And in this fall it smashed the Werewolf, too.

And the monkey?

He’s scratching his back… what a bunch of luck this monkey has I would say.

Yay. Attacked by a Dinosaur AND a Werewolf. And survived.

Don’t forget the Turtle and the Sea Jelly. I’m sure they where up to him, too.

So, you experimented with Genetic engineering. What animals do you have beside the Dinosaur and the Werewolf.

Well, there’s the Pushmi-Pullyu, the Antilope with the two heads…

Which is standing there trying to figure out where to run?

Exactly. Then we have the Cookiemonster and the Werepire.

Oh, I saw these two. They are playing Risk with a Duck, a Cockroach and a Sheep. Somehow the Cockroach wins every game.

Well, it is said that the cockroaches survive every war…

That’s right… other animals don’t have this luck. Look at the cephalopod there…

The what?

Squid! There. It’s shooting itself into the face.

Hmm… I wonder where it got the weapon.

Oh, I left a cache with some weapons in it. To see how the animals will react.

Well. The cephaolpod reacted… poorly.

You said it. And the Tiger who just tripped over a land mine… well, he had worms anyway so he don’t have to bother about that now. These Dracunculus Medinensis are painful beasts...

Maybe it's good he burnt it away then... Oh, hey! A kitty! Sweet.

Yes, but a bit dumb, it seems. He eats this cheesburger I forgot weeks ago in there. Uh oh… seems the fish wasn’t very fresh any more.

So who’s left? This bunny… happily hopping through the wood…

Oh, and it found the hand grenade… ouch! Playing with hand grenades can be dangerous.

Oh yes, live and learn. Or, in case of the bunny, die and learn.

So, then we have this sloth… doesn’t seem to do anything, just hanging up the tree and sleeping.

But… there. A tumbleweed is attacking…

Wait a moment. Isn’t tumbleweed a plant ?

Well… normally it is but with a bit of genetic engineering you can do a lot. Look, it’s pushing the sloth from the tree. Wow, that was pretty high.

Yep, I don’t think the sloth survived. And the tumbleweed rolls down the tree giggeling. Oh, he should have better looked. There’s a Llama. And the Llama loves tumbleweed!

Oh no! So many hours I spend to create intelligent Tumbleweed and than it’s Llama food. What a dissapointment.

So, the only animal left is this black mamba here.

No, no! There must be two more. You just can’t see them. It’s a bacteriae and a unicellar organism.

And how do we know how they fight?

Well, I marked them with a nuclear marker and with the help of some special cameras we can see them on the screen… hey, they are just near the mamba.

Oh, and it looks as if the unicellar organism attacks the bacteriae. And again. And again. What a fight!

But now the mamba sneaks over the place… now she’s gone and only the bacteriae is left.

So, now that’s settled. Bacteriaes own Unicellar organisms, but only with the help of Snakes.

I’m sure you will win the Noble Price with this experiment.

So, let’s hear the gong for the 2nd round.

Well, it makes sense. So I can organize the actions. If they mix up their attacks I wouldn’t be able to keep track.

But… but… the animals attack in a certain order?

Well, it was a lot of training but in the end I had them where I wanted them. So, 2nd round is beginning.

Oh yes. Look, the monkey is moving again. Looks as if he’s scared about all the attacks from the round before.

Yes, he’s climbing 20 feet up this tree, With unbelievable pace.

Sad fact, the tree is only 15 feet tall. What a fall. Well, never seen an animal jump that high.

We should call Guinness book of Records. Maybe after the experiment. But hey! Look at the Homo Sapiens. He’s eating the Bacteria just to see if he can kill it with his gastric juice.

That’s cool. I wonder if he makes it. He looks quite good so… well, he looked quite good until he was devoured by the black mamba. Do you think she will kill him with his gastric juice?

I would say: definitely yes. So, let’s have a look at the genetic advanced animals. The Pushmi-Pullyu for example. He can’t decide wether to stomp at the cockroach or at the Llama. He tears itself in parts if he don’t stop.

Oh but look there! A shark is jumping out of the sea attacking the pushyu thingie! Bad decision, now the two heads are united again. Stomping the shark.

Poor fish. Should have stayed in water. And there we have the Werepire. What is he doing?

I think he found another weapon in the cache. A shotgun. Oh no, he’s going Duckhunting.

Duckhunting? That’s more Eaglehunting if you ask me. Poor Bald Eagle, he flew much too low.

Hey look! The Cookiemonster takes the shotgun from the Werepire. It seems he wants to do the same. Looking for another low-flying bird.

Uh oh. There it is. A swallow. He’s aiming…

But he underestimates the pace of the unladen swallow. Wow, it’s so incredible fast, he can’t get it.

There it is. Sitting in the shadow of a tree and digesting. Hey, look, there’s a Duck sneaking behind the tree, with a wire. He garrotes the Llama… sneaky beasts, Ducks!

Yep. Not like Penguins. See? He openly took the gun and shot him in the face.

Maybe he could have let the Duck time to react?

Details. It was a fair duel, from the Penguins point of view.

Only 2 animals left. I’m curious which cunning and evil things they have planned.

Story:

„Oh no!“ the Pushmi-Pullyu screams. The Llama, it’s bestest friend, dead. As the two headed Antilope notices the garroted body of the Llama both heads start crying simultaneous. The body shakes from the weeping and then it begins to hop up and down in agony. Both heads out of control of the body, that doesn’t bode well (oh man, what a bad pun). Anyway, the Antilope is slowly moving. Nobody knows where to, but it’s moving.

The cockroach is yawning. Time to do something. Since the experiment started the cockroach just waited for the right moment to act. Now it seems this moment has come. It stands up from it’s hammock, trots on the street and…
gets trampled to ground by an weeping and screaming two headed Antilope.

The sheep and the Werepire are standing at a cliff. “Sheep, I had a wonderful dream last night.” The Werepire explained “I’m standing here with my son, all animals are standing down there, looking up to us, rendering us, and then I hold my son up to the air and tell him that one day everything he sees will belong to him.”
“That’s nice. But aren’t you the only one? How do you want to get a son?”
The Werepire is thinking “Hmm… the same way I was born. Genetical engineering.”
“A good idea. Hey! What’s that screaming?”
And suddenly a two headed Antilope appears, pushes the Werepire down the cliff and falls just behind it to death.
The sheep looks down and shakes its head. “Sad ending. But the idea isn’t bad. King of all animals. I just have to kill this Swallow, the Penguin and the Snake.”

The Penguin throws away the Pistol. “No need for that now. And I don’t have any munition anymore.” it thinks. “What I need is a plan. Something to distract the snake so I can kill it from behind. Oh, there’s the sheep, maybe it’s dump enough to do the bait.”

Penguin and Sheep approaching at the Black Mamba. The snake is sleeping in the sun refilling it’s solar energy batteries. “So, did you understand?” the penguin asks. “Oh yes, I have to silently sneak the the mouth of the snake and keep it shut. Than you can kill it with your Machete.” the sheep recites.
“Yes. And the most important thing of this plan is silence. Don’t make any noise until you approached the mouth.”
The Sheep nods and slowly he sneaks in the direction of the snake. It took a few steps but suddenly a swallow appeared. The swallow is flying a bit slower as before because now it has a big coconut in its beak. And just above the Sheep it let it go.
The coconut hits the sheep on the head. The sheep blinks. And than it starts to scream: “Oooooouch! That hurts! My head! OWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWO!!! Oops.”

The snake wakes up. What a noise is disturbing it’s slumber. It turns around and sees a sheep running around in agony and a penguin trying to hide a machete behind its back. With a hit with its tail it kicks away the machete and than the Mamba catches the sheep and the penguin and begins to press all the air out of them.
“Wanted to kill me, eh? Jusssst wait when I’m finissssshed with you. This will be a banquet” the snake hissed.

So, only two animals left: A poisonous snake and a little bird. And according to your theorie one of them is the pride of creation.

Yes, yes. I’m very curious. See, the black Mamba. The mighty snake just digesting it’s previous meal. Well, a sheep and a penguin is a bit much for this snake.

Yes. And it’s a bit confused, too. I mean, it’s a poisonous snake and though it contricted the sheep and the penguin. Ah well, it seems it’s taking a rest now that the fight is over. And the swallow?

Well, the swallow doesn’t make a summer, it’s flying up to the hills. I think it’s going to the coconut cache.

What? A coconut cache? What for?

To test the velocity of a laden swallow. See, at first the swallow was unladen. Incredible fast. Than it took one coconut. It was a bit slower but very effective.

And now?

I think it took the bag with 20 coconuts in it. So, let’s measure the velocity…

Be careful with this laser pistol… there! You distracted it. It let the coconuts go. And the whole load falls on the head of the sneak. Think the mamba shouldn’t have slept on a stone. Pretty flat now.

Hmm. So the Swallow is the pride of creation. What a surprise. Now I have to write the scientific thesis and bam! Noble Prize, I’m coming.

Hmm… I’m not sure if the world is ready for this discovery. But it was entertaining at least.
